14You shall not followתֵֽלְכ֔וּן אַחֲרֵ֖יte.le.Khun 'a.cha.ReiH1980 H310otherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,anyH312of the godsמֵאֱלֹהֵי֙me.'e.lo.HeiH430of the peoplesהָֽעַמִּ֔יםha.'a.MimH5971whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834surroundסְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃se.vi.vo.tei.KhemH5439you,

15for the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430in the midstבְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָbe.kir.Be.chaH7130of you is ajealousקַנָּ֛אka.Na'H7067Godאֵ֥ל'elH410;otherwiseפֶּן־pen-H6435the angerאַף־'af-H639of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430will be kindledיֶ֠חֱרֶהYe.che.rehH2734against you, and He willwipeוְהִשְׁמִ֣ידְךָ֔ve.hish.Mi.de.khaH8045you offמֵעַ֖לme.'AlH4480 H5921the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ סha.'a.da.MahH127.

16“You shall not putתְנַסּ֔וּte.na.SuH5254the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430to the testנִסִּיתֶ֖םni.si.TemH5254,as you testedH5254Himat Massahבַּמַּסָּֽה׃ba.ma.SahH4532.

17You should diligentlyשָׁמ֣וֹרsha.MorH8104keepתִּשְׁמְר֔וּןtish.me.RunH8104the commandmentsמִצְוֹ֖תmitz.VotH4687of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,and His testimoniesוְעֵדֹתָ֥יוve.'e.do.TavH5713and His statutesוְחֻקָּ֖יוve.chu.KavH2706whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834He has commandedצִוָּֽךְ׃tzi.VakhH6680you.

18You shall doוְעָשִׂ֛יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213what is rightהַיָּשָׁ֥רhai.ya.SharH3477and goodוְהַטּ֖וֹבve.ha.TovH2896in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, thatit may be wellיִ֣יטַבYi.tavH3190with you and that you may goוּבָ֗אתָu.Va.taH935in and possessוְיָֽרַשְׁתָּ֙ve.ya.rash.TaH3423the goodהַטֹּבָ֔הha.to.VahH2896landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068sworeנִשְׁבַּ֥עnish.Ba'H7650to giveyour fathersלַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃la.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1,

19by drivingלַהֲדֹ֥ףla.ha.DofH1920out allכָּל־kol-H3605your enemiesH340from beforeמִפָּנֶ֑יךָmi.pa.Nei.khaH6440you, as the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068has spokenדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696.

20“Whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588your sonבִנְךָ֛vin.KhaH1121asksיִשְׁאָלְךָ֥yish.'a.le.KhaH7592you in timeH4279to comeH4279,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Whatמָ֣הmahH4100dothe testimoniesהָעֵדֹ֗תha.'e.DotH5713and the statutesוְהַֽחֻקִּים֙ve.ha.chu.KimH2706and the judgmentsוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔יםve.ha.mish.pa.TimH4941meanwhichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430commandedצִוָּ֛הtzi.VahH6680you?’

21then you shall sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559to your sonלְבִנְךָ֔le.vin.KhaH1121, ‘We were slavesעֲבָדִ֛ים'a.va.DimH5650to Pharaohלְפַרְעֹ֖הle.far.'OhH6547in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,and the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068broughtוַיּוֹצִיאֵ֧נוּvai.yo.tzi.'E.nuH3318us from Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֖יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714with a mightyחֲזָקָֽה׃cha.za.KahH2389handבְּיָ֥דbe.YadH3027.

22Moreover, the Lordיְהוָ֡הYah.wehH3068showedוַיִּתֵּ֣ןvai.yi.TenH5414greatגְּדֹלִ֨יםge.do.LimH1419and distressingוְרָעִ֧ים׀ve.ra.'ImH7451signsאוֹתֹ֣ת'o.TotH226and wondersוּ֠מֹפְתִיםU.mo.fe.timH4159before our eyesלְעֵינֵֽינוּ׃le.'ei.Nei.nuH5869against Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֛יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,Pharaohבְּפַרְעֹ֥הbe.far.'OhH6547and allוּבְכָל־u.ve.Khol-H3605his householdבֵּית֖וֹbei.ToH1004;

23He broughtהוֹצִ֣יאho.Tzi'H3318us out from thereמִשָּׁ֑םmi.ShamH8033in orderלְמַ֙עַן֙le.Ma.'anH4616to bringהָבִ֣יאha.Vi'H935us in, to giveלָ֤תֶתLa.tetH5414us the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834He had swornנִשְׁבַּ֖עnish.Ba'H7650to our fathersלַאֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃la.'a.vo.Tei.nuH1.’

24So the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068commandedוַיְצַוֵּ֣נוּvay.tza.Ve.nuH6680us to observeלַעֲשׂוֹת֙la.'a.sOtH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428statutesהַחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706,to fearלְיִרְאָ֖הle.yir.'AhH3372the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430for our goodלְט֥וֹבle.TovH2896alwaysכָּל־ הַיָּמִ֔יםkol- hai.ya.MimH3605 H3117andfor our survivalלְחַיֹּתֵ֖נוּle.chai.yo.Te.nuH2421, as it istodayכְּהַיּ֥וֹםke.hai.YomH3117.
