6“But it happenedἐγένετοegenetoG1096that as I was on my wayπορευομένῳporeuomenōG4198,approachingἐγγίζοντιengizontiG1448DamascusΔαμασκῷDamaskōG1154aboutG4012noontimeμεσημβρίανmesēmbrianG3314,a veryG2425brightG2425lightφῶςphōsG5457suddenlyἐξαίφνηςexaiphnēsG1810flashedπεριαστράψαιperiastrapsaiG4015from heavenοὐρανοῦouranouG3772allG4012aroundG4012me,

7and I fellἔπεσάepesaG4098to the groundἔδαφοςedaphosG1475and heardἤκουσαēkousaG191a voiceφωνῆςphōnēsG5456sayingλεγούσηςlegousēsG3004to me,‘SaulΣαοὺλSaoulG4549,SaulΣαούλ,SaoulG4549,whyτίtiG5101are you persecutingδιώκεις;diōkeisG1377Me?’

8And I answeredἀπεκρίθην·apekrithēnG611, ‘WhoτίςtisG5101are You, Lordκύριε;kurieG2962?’And He saidG3004to me,‘I amG1510JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424the NazareneΝαζωραῖοςNazōraiosG3480,whomὃνhonG3739you are persecutingδιώκεις.diōkeisG1377.’

9And thoseG3588whoG5101were with mesawἐθεάσαντοetheasantoG2300the lightφῶςphōsG5457,to be sureμὲνmenG3303, but did notunderstandἤκουσανēkousanG191the voiceφωνὴνphōnēnG5456of the One who was speakingλαλοῦντόςlalountosG2980to me.

10And I saidG3004, ‘WhatτίtiG5101shall I doποιήσωpoiēsōG4160,Lordκύριε;kurieG2962?’And the LordκύριοςkuriosG2962saidG3004to me,‘GetἀναστὰςanastasG450up and goπορεύουporeuouG4198on into DamascusΔαμασκόν,DamaskonG1154,and thereG2546you will be toldλαληθήσεταιlalēthēsetaiG2980of allπάντωνpantōnG3956that has been appointedτέτακταίtetaktaiG5021for you to doποιῆσαι.poiēsaiG4160.’

11But sinceὡςhōsG5613Icould not seeἐνέβλεπονenebleponG1689becauseἀπὸapoG575of thebrightnessδόξηςdoxēsG1391of that lightφωτὸςphōtosG5457,I was ledG5496by the handχειραγωγούμενοςcheiragōgoumenosG5496by thoseG3588who were with me and cameἦλθονēlthonG2064into DamascusΔαμασκόν.¶DamaskonG1154.

12“A certainτις,tisG5100AnaniasἉνανίαςHananiasG367,a manἀνὴρanērG435who was devoutεὐλαβὴςeulabēsG2126by the standardG3358of the Lawνόμον,nomonG3551, andwellG3140spokenG3140of by allπάντωνpantōnG3956the JewsἸουδαίων,IoudaiōnG2453who livedκατοικούντωνkatoikountōnG2730there,

13cameἐλθὼνelthōnG2064to me, and standingG2186nearG2186saidG3004to me, ‘Brotherἀδελφέ,adelpheG80SaulΣαοὺλSaoulG4549,receiveἀνάβλεψον.anablepsonG308your sightG308!’ Andat that veryG846timeὥρᾳhōraG5610I lookedἀνέβλεψαaneblepsaG308up at him.

14And he saidG3004, ‘The GodθεὸςtheosG2316of our fathersπατέρωνpaterōnG3962hasappointedπροεχειρίσατόproecheirisatoG4400you to knowγνῶναιgnōnaiG1097His willθέλημαthelēmaG2307and toseeG3708theRighteousδίκαιονdikaionG1342OneG1342and to hearἀκοῦσαιakousaiG191anutteranceφωνὴνphōnēnG5456from His mouthστόματοςstomatosG4750.

15For you will bea witnessμάρτυςmartusG3144for Him to allπάνταςpantasG3956menἀνθρώπουςanthrōpousG444ofwhatὧνhōnG3739you have seenἑώρακαςhe'ōrakasG3708and heardἤκουσας.ēkousasG191.
