1Thus saithאָמַ֨ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068unto me, Goהָל֞וֹךְha.LokhH1980and getוְקָנִ֤יתָve.ka.Ni.taH7069thee a linenפִּשְׁתִּ֔יםpish.TimH6593girdleאֵז֣וֹר'e.ZorH232,and putוְשַׂמְתּ֖וֹve.sam.ToH7760it upon thy loinsמָתְנֶ֑יךָma.te.Nei.khaH4975,and putתְבִאֵֽהוּ׃te.vi.'E.huH935it not in waterוּבַמַּ֖יִםu.va.Ma.yimH4325.

2So I gotוָאֶקְנֶ֥הva.'ek.NehH7069a girdleהָאֵז֖וֹרha.'e.ZorH232according to the wordכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and putוָאָשִׂ֖םva.'a.SimH7760iton my loinsמָתְנָֽי׃ סma.te.NaiH4975.

3And the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068came unto me the second timeשֵׁנִ֥יתshe.NitH8145,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

4Takeקַ֧חkachH3947the girdleהָאֵז֛וֹרha.'e.ZorH232that thou hast gotקָנִ֖יתָka.Ni.taH7069, which isupon thy loinsמָתְנֶ֑יךָma.te.Nei.khaH4975,and ariseוְקוּם֙ve.KumH6965,goH3212to Euphratesפְּרָ֔תָהpe.Ra.tahH6578,and hideוְטָמְנֵ֥הוּve.ta.me.Ne.huH2934it there in a holeבִּנְקִ֥יקbin.KikH5357of the rockהַסָּֽלַע׃ha.Sa.la'H5553.

5So I wentH3212,and hidוָאֶטְמְנֵ֖הוּva.'et.me.Ne.huH2934it by Euphratesבִּפְרָ֑תbif.RatH6578,as the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680me.

6And it came to pass afterמִקֵּ֖ץmi.KetzH7093manyרַבִּ֑יםra.BimH7227daysיָמִ֣יםya.MimH3117,that the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto me, Ariseק֚וּםkumH6965,goH3212to Euphratesפְּרָ֔תָהpe.Ra.tahH6578,and takeוְקַ֤חve.KachH3947the girdleהָ֣אֵז֔וֹרha.'e.ZorH232from thence, which I commandedצִוִּיתִ֖יךָtzi.vi.Ti.khaH6680thee to hideלְטָמְנוֹ־le.ta.me.nov-H2934there.

7Then I wentH3212to Euphratesפְּרָ֔תָהpe.Ra.tahH6578,and diggedוָאֶחְפֹּ֗רva.'ech.PorH2658,and tookוָֽאֶקַּח֙va.'e.KachH3947the girdleהָ֣אֵז֔וֹרha.'e.ZorH232from the placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725where I had hidטְמַנְתִּ֣יוte.man.TivH2934it: and, behold, the girdleהָאֵז֔וֹרha.'e.ZorH232was marredנִשְׁחַ֣תnish.ChatH7843,it was profitableיִצְלַ֖חyitz.LachH6743for nothing.

8Then the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068came unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

9Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,After this manner will I marאַשְׁחִ֞ית'ash.ChitH7843the prideגְּא֧וֹןge.'onH1347of Judahיְהוּדָ֛הye.hu.DahH3063,and the greatהָרָֽב׃ha.RavH7227prideגְּא֥וֹןge.'onH1347of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

10This evilהָרָ֜עha.Ra'H7451peopleהָעָם֩ha.'AmH5971,which refuseהַֽמֵּאֲנִ֣ים׀ha.me.'a.NimH3987to hearלִשְׁמ֣וֹעַlish.Mo.a'H8085my wordsדְּבָרַ֗יde.va.RaiH1697,which walkH1980in the imaginationבִּשְׁרִר֣וּתbish.ri.RutH8307of their heartלִבָּ֔םli.BamH3820,and walkH3212afterאַֽחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,to serveלְעָבְדָ֖םle.'a.ve.DamH5647them, and to worshipוּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֹ֣תu.le.hish.ta.cha.VotH7812them, shall even be as this girdleכָּאֵז֣וֹרka.'e.ZorH232,which is goodיִצְלַ֖חyitz.LachH6743for nothing.

11For as the girdleהָאֵז֜וֹרha.'e.ZorH232cleavethיִדְבַּ֨קyid.BakH1692to the loinsמָתְנֵי־ma.te.nei-H4975of a manאִ֗ישׁ'IshH376,so have I caused to cleaveהִדְבַּ֣קְתִּיhid.Bak.tiH1692unto me the whole houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478and the whole houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068;that they might be unto me for a peopleלְעָ֔םle.'AmH5971,and for a nameוּלְשֵׁ֥םu.le.ShemH8034,and for a praiseוְלִתְהִלָּ֖הve.lit.hi.LahH8416,and for a gloryוּלְתִפְאָ֑רֶתu.le.tif.'A.retH8597:but they would not hearשָׁמֵֽעוּ׃sha.Me.'uH8085.

12Therefore thou shalt speakוְאָמַרְתָּ֨ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them this wordהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697;Thus saithאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,Every bottleנֵ֖בֶלNe.velH5035shall be filledיִמָּ֣לֵאyi.Ma.le'H4390with wineיָ֑יִןYa.yinH3196:and they shall sayוְאָמְר֣וּve.'a.me.RuH559unto thee, Do we not certainlyהֲיָדֹ֙עַ֙ha.ya.Do.a'H3045knowנֵדַ֔עne.Da'H3045that every bottleנֵ֖בֶלNe.velH5035shall be filledיִמָּ֥לֵאyi.Ma.le'H4390with wineיָֽיִן׃Ya.yinH3196?

13Then shalt thou sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֨ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto them, Thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Behold, I will fillמְמַלֵּ֣אme.ma.Le'H4390all the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֣יyo.she.VeiH3427of this landהָאָ֪רֶץha.'A.retzH776,even the kingsהַמְּלָכִ֣יםha.me.la.KhimH4428that sitהַיֹּשְׁבִים֩hai.yo.she.VimH3427upon David’sלְדָוִ֨דle.da.VidH1732throneכִּסְא֜וֹkis.'OH3678,and the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֣יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548,and the prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֗יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030,and all the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,with drunkennessשִׁכָּרֽוֹן׃shi.ka.RonH7943.

14And I will dashוְנִפַּצְתִּים֩ve.ni.patz.TimH5310them oneאִ֨ישׁ'ishH376against anotherאָחִ֜יו'a.ChivH251,even the fathersוְהָאָב֧וֹתve.ha.'a.VotH1and the sonsוְהַבָּנִ֛יםve.ha.ba.NimH1121togetherיַחְדָּ֖וyach.DavH3162,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:I will not pityאֶחְמ֧וֹל'ech.MolH2550,nor spareאָח֛וּס'a.ChusH2347,nor have mercyאֲרַחֵ֖ם'a.ra.ChemH7355,but destroyמֵהַשְׁחִיתָֽם׃ סme.hash.chi.TamH7843them.

15Hearשִׁמְע֥וּshim.'UH8085ye, and give earוְהַאֲזִ֖ינוּve.ha.'a.Zi.nuH238;be not proudתִּגְבָּ֑הוּtig.Ba.huH1361:for the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068hath spokenדִּבֵּֽר׃di.BerH1696.
