Genesis 17:1-9

1And when Abramאַבְרָ֔ם'av.RamH87was ninetyתִּשְׁעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖הtish.'Im sha.NahH8141 H8673yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141oldבֶּן־ben-H1121and nineוְתֵ֣שַׁעve.Te.sha'H8672,the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֨אvai.ye.Ra'H7200to Abramאַבְרָ֗ם'av.RamH87,and saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, I amthe Almightyשַׁדַּ֔יsha.DaiH7706Godאֵ֣ל'elH410;walkהִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְhit.ha.LekhH1980before meלְפָנַ֖יle.fa.NaiH6440,and be thou perfectתָמִֽים׃ta.MimH8549.

2And I will makeוְאֶתְּנָ֥הve.'e.te.NahH5414my covenantבְרִיתִ֖יve.ri.TiH1285between me and thee, and will multiplyוְאַרְבֶּ֥הve.'ar.BehH7235thee exceedinglyH3966.

3And Abramאַבְרָ֖ם'av.RamH87fellוַיִּפֹּ֥לvai.yi.PolH5307on his faceפָּנָ֑יוpa.NavH6440:and Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430talkedוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696with him, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

4As for meאֲנִ֕י'a.NiH589,behold, my covenantבְרִיתִ֖יve.ri.TiH1285iswith thee, and thou shalt be a fatherלְאַ֖בle.'AvH1of manyהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995nationsגּוֹיִֽם׃go.YimH1471.

5Neither shall thy nameשִׁמְךָ֖shim.KhaH8034any more be calledיִקָּרֵ֥אyi.ka.Re'H7121Abramאַבְרָ֑ם'av.RamH87,but thy nameשִׁמְךָ֙shim.KhaH8034shall be Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֔ם'av.ra.HamH85;for a fatherאַב־'av-H1of manyהֲמ֥וֹןha.MonH1995nationsגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471have I made theeנְתַתִּֽיךָ׃ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414.

6And I will makeוְהִפְרֵתִ֤יve.hif.re.TiH6509thee exceedingH3966fruitfulH6509,and I will makeוּנְתַתִּ֖יךָu.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414nationsלְגוֹיִ֑םle.go.YimH1471of thee, and kingsוּמְלָכִ֖יםu.me.la.KhimH4428shall come outיֵצֵֽאוּ׃ye.Tze.'uH3318of thee.

7And I will establishוַהֲקִמֹתִ֨יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965my covenantבְּרִיתִ֜יbe.ri.TiH1285between me and thee and thy seedזַרְעֲךָ֧zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶ֛יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310in their generationsלְדֹרֹתָ֖םle.do.ro.TamH1755for an everlastingעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769covenantלִבְרִ֣יתliv.RitH1285,to be a Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430unto thee, and to thy seedוּֽלְזַרְעֲךָ֖u.le.zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃'a.cha.Rei.khaH310.

8And I will giveוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414unto thee, and to thy seedוּלְזַרְעֲךָ֨u.le.zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַחֲרֶ֜יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310,the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776wherein thou art a strangerמְגֻרֶ֗יךָme.gu.Rei.khaH4033,all the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667,for an everlastingעוֹלָ֑םo.LamH5769possessionלַאֲחֻזַּ֖תla.'a.chu.ZatH272;and I will be their Godלֵאלֹהִֽים׃le.lo.HimH430.

9And Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֔ם'av.ra.HamH85,Thou shalt keepתִשְׁמֹ֑רtish.MorH8104my covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285therefore, thou, and thy seedוְזַרְעֲךָ֥ve.zar.'a.KhaH2233after theeאַֽחֲרֶ֖יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310in their generationsלְדֹרֹתָֽם׃le.do.ro.TamH1755.
