1These arethe statutesהַֽחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706and judgmentsוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים֮ve.ha.mish.pa.TimH4941,which ye shall observeתִּשְׁמְר֣וּןtish.me.RunH8104to doלַעֲשׂוֹת֒la.'a.sOtH6213in the landבָּאָ֕רֶץba.'A.retzH776,which the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֧י'e.lo.HeiH430of thy fathersאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ'a.vo.Tei.khaH1givethנָתַ֨ןna.TanH5414thee to possessלְרִשְׁתָּ֑הּle.rish.TahH3423it, all the daysהַיָּמִ֔יםhai.ya.MimH3117that ye liveחַיִּ֖יםchai.YimH2416upon the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ha.'a.da.MahH127.

2Ye shall utterlyאַבֵּ֣ד'a.BedH6destroyתְּ֠אַבְּדוּןTe.'a.be.dunH6all the placesהַמְּקֹמ֞וֹתha.me.ko.MotH4725,wherein the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471whichH834ye shall possessיֹרְשִׁ֥יםyo.re.ShimH3423servedעָֽבְדוּ־'a.ve.du-H5647their godsאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430,upon the highהָֽרָמִים֙ha.ra.MimH7311mountainsהֶהָרִ֤יםhe.ha.RimH2022,and upon the hillsהַגְּבָע֔וֹתha.ge.va.'otH1389,and under every greenרַעֲנָן׃ra.'a.nanH7488treeעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086:

3And ye shall overthrowוְנִתַּצְתֶּ֣םve.ni.tatz.TemH5422their altarsמִזְבּחֹתָ֗םmiz.b.cho.TamH4196,and breakוְשִׁבַּרְתֶּם֙ve.shi.bar.TemH7665their pillarsמַצֵּ֣בֹתָ֔םma.Tze.vo.TamH4676,and burnתִּשְׂרְפ֣וּןtis.re.FunH8313their grovesוַאֲשֵֽׁרֵיהֶם֙va.'a.she.rei.HemH842with fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784;and ye shall hew downתְּגַדֵּע֑וּןte.ga.de.'UnH1438the graven imagesוּפְסִילֵ֥יu.fe.si.LeiH6456of their godsאֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430,and destroyוְאִבַּדְתֶּ֣םve.'i.bad.TemH6the namesשְׁמָ֔םshe.MamH8034of them out of that placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725.

4Ye shall not do soתַעֲשׂ֣וּןta.'a.SunH6213unto the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430.

5But unto the placeהַמָּק֞וֹםha.ma.KomH4725which the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙'e.lo.hei.KhemH430shall chooseיִבְחַ֨רyiv.CharH977out of all your tribesשִׁבְטֵיכֶ֔םshiv.tei.KhemH7626to putלָשׂ֥וּםla.SumH7760his nameשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034there, evenunto his habitationH7933shall ye seekתִדְרְשׁ֖וּtid.re.ShuH1875,and thither thou shalt comeוּבָ֥אתָu.Va.taH935:

6And thither ye shall bringוַהֲבֵאתֶ֣םva.ha.ve.TemH935your burnt offeringsעֹלֹֽתֵיכֶם֙'o.lo.tei.KhemH5930,and your sacrificesוְזִבְחֵיכֶ֔םve.ziv.chei.KhemH2077,and your tithesמַעְשְׂרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םma'.se.Ro.tei.KhemH4643,and heave offeringsתְּרוּמַ֣תte.ru.MatH8641of your handיֶדְכֶ֑םyed.KhemH3027,and your vowsוְנִדְרֵיכֶם֙ve.nid.rei.KhemH5088,and your freewill offeringsוְנִדְבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םve.nid.Vo.tei.KhemH5071,and the firstlingsH1062of your herdsבְּקַרְכֶ֖םbe.kar.KhemH1241and of your flocksוְצֹאנְכֶֽם׃ve.tzo.ne.KhemH6629:

7And there ye shall eatוַאֲכַלְתֶּם־va.'a.khal.tem-H398beforeלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,and ye shall rejoiceוּשְׂמַחְתֶּ֗םu.se.mach.TemH8055in all that ye putמִשְׁלַ֣חmish.LachH4916your handיֶדְכֶ֔םyed.KhemH3027unto, ye and your householdsוּבָתֵּיכֶ֑םu.va.tei.KhemH1004,wherein the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃'e.lo.Hei.khaH430hath blessedבֵּֽרַכְךָ֖be.rakh.KhaH1288thee.

8Ye shall not doתַעֲשׂ֔וּןta.'a.SunH6213after all the thingsthat we doעֹשִׂ֛ים'o.SimH6213here this dayהַיּ֑וֹםhai.YomH3117,every manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376whatsoever isrightהַיָּשָׁ֥רhai.ya.SharH3477in his own eyesבְּעֵינָֽיו׃be.'ei.NavH5869.

9For ye are not as yet comeבָּאתֶ֖םba.TemH935to the restהַמְּנוּחָה֙ha.me.nu.ChahH4496and to the inheritanceהַֽנַּחֲלָ֔הha.na.cha.LahH5159,which the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430givethנֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414you.

10But whenye go overוַעֲבַרְתֶּם֮va.'a.var.TemH5674Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּן֒hai.yar.DenH3383,and dwellוִֽישַׁבְתֶּ֣םvi.shav.TemH3427in the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776which the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430giveth you to inheritמַנְחִ֣ילman.ChilH5157, and whenhe giveth you restוְהֵנִ֨יחַve.he.Ni.achH5117from all your enemiesאֹיְבֵיכֶ֛ם'o.ye.vei.KhemH341round aboutמִסָּבִ֖יבmi.sa.VivH5439,so that ye dwellוִֽישַׁבְתֶּם־vi.shav.tem-H3427in safetyבֶּֽטַח׃Be.tachH983;

11Then there shall be a placeהַמָּק֗וֹםha.ma.KomH4725which the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֥ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430shall chooseיִבְחַר֩yiv.CharH977to cause his nameשְׁמוֹ֙she.MoH8034to dwellלְשַׁכֵּ֤ןle.sha.KenH7931there; thither shall ye bringתָבִ֔יאוּta.Vi.'uH935all that I commandמְצַוֶּ֣הme.tza.VehH6680you; your burnt offeringsעוֹלֹתֵיכֶ֣םo.lo.tei.KhemH5930,and your sacrificesוְזִבְחֵיכֶ֗םve.ziv.chei.KhemH2077,your tithesמַעְשְׂרֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ma'.se.ro.tei.KhemH4643,and the heave offeringוּתְרֻמַ֣תu.te.ru.MatH8641of your handיֶדְכֶ֔םyed.KhemH3027,and all your choiceמִבְחַ֣רmiv.CharH4005vowsנִדְרֵיכֶ֔םnid.rei.KhemH5088which ye vowתִּדְּר֖וּti.de.RuH5087unto the Lordלַֽיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068:

12And ye shall rejoiceוּשְׂמַחְתֶּ֗םu.se.mach.TemH8055beforeלִפְנֵי֮lif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֒'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,ye, and your sonsוּבְנֵיכֶם֙u.ve.nei.KhemH1121,and your daughtersוּבְנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םu.ve.No.tei.KhemH1323,and your menservantsוְעַבְדֵיכֶ֖םve.'av.dei.KhemH5650,and your maidservantsוְאַמְהֹתֵיכֶ֑םve.'am.ho.tei.KhemH519,and the Leviteוְהַלֵּוִי֙ve.ha.le.ViH3881that iswithin your gatesבְּשַֽׁעֲרֵיכֶ֔םbe.sha.'a.rei.KhemH8179;forasmuchכִּ֣יkiH3588as he hath no partחֵ֥לֶקChe.lekH2506nor inheritanceוְנַחֲלָ֖הve.na.cha.LahH5159with you.

13Take heedהִשָּׁ֣מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104to thyself that thou offerתַּעֲלֶ֖הta.'a.LehH5927not thy burnt offeringsעֹלֹתֶ֑יךָ'o.lo.Tei.khaH5930in every placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725that thou seestתִּרְאֶֽה׃tir.'EhH7200:

14But in the placeבַּמָּק֞וֹםba.ma.KomH4725which the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068shall chooseיִבְחַ֤רyiv.CharH977in oneבְּאַחַ֣דbe.'a.ChadH259of thy tribesשְׁבָטֶ֔יךָshe.va.Tei.khaH7626,there thou shalt offerתַּעֲלֶ֣הta.'a.LehH5927thy burnt offeringsעֹלֹתֶ֑יךָ'o.lo.Tei.khaH5930,and there thou shalt doתַּעֲשֶׂ֔הta.'a.SehH6213all that I commandמְצַוֶּֽךָּ׃me.tza.Ve.kaH6680thee.

15Notwithstanding thou mayest killתִּזְבַּ֣ח׀tiz.BachH2076and eatוְאָכַלְתָּ֣ve.'a.khal.TaH398fleshבָשָׂ֗רva.SarH1320in all thy gatesשְׁעָרֶ֑יךָshe.'a.Rei.khaH8179,whatsoever thy soulנַפְשְׁךָ֜naf.she.KhaH5315lusteth afterאַוַּ֨ת'a.VatH185,according to the blessingכְּבִרְכַּ֨תke.vir.KatH1293of the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430which he hath givenנָֽתַן־na.tan-H5414thee: the uncleanהַטָּמֵ֤אha.ta.Me'H2931and the cleanוְהַטָּהוֹר֙ve.ha.ta.hOrH2889may eatיֹאכְלֶ֔נּוּyo.khe.Le.nuH398thereof, as of the roebuckכַּצְּבִ֖יka.tze.ViH6643,and as of the hartוְכָאַיָּֽל׃ve.kha.'ai.YalH354.

16Only ye shall not eatתֹאכֵ֑לוּto.Khe.luH398the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818;ye shall pourתִּשְׁפְּכֶ֖נּוּtish.pe.Khe.nuH8210it upon the earthהָאָ֥רֶץha.'A.retzH776as waterכַּמָּֽיִם׃ka.Ma.yimH4325.

17Thou mayestתוּכַ֞לtu.KhalH3201not eatלֶאֱכֹ֣לle.'e.KholH398within thy gatesבִּשְׁעָרֶ֗יךָbish.'a.Rei.khaH8179the titheמַעְשַׂ֤רma'.SarH4643of thy cornדְּגָֽנְךָ֙de.ga.ne.KhaH1715,or of thy wineוְתִֽירֹשְׁךָ֣ve.ti.ro.she.KhaH8492,or of thy oilוְיִצְהָרֶ֔ךָve.yitz.ha.Re.khaH3323,or the firstlingsH1062of thy herdsבְּקָרְךָ֖be.ka.re.ChaH1241or of thy flockוְצֹאנֶ֑ךָve.tzo.Ne.khaH6629,nor any of thy vowsנְדָרֶ֙יךָ֙ne.da.Rei.khaH5088which thou vowestתִּדֹּ֔רti.DorH5087,nor thy freewill offeringsוְנִדְבֹתֶ֖יךָve.nid.vo.Tei.khaH5071,or heave offeringוּתְרוּמַ֥תu.te.ru.MatH8641of thine handיָדֶֽךָ׃ya.De.khaH3027:

19Take heedהִשָּׁ֣מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104to thyself that thou forsakeתַּעֲזֹ֖בta.'a.ZoH5800not the Leviteהַלֵּוִ֑יha.le.ViH3881as long as thou livestיָמֶ֖יךָya.Mei.khaH3117upon the earthאַדְמָתֶֽךָ׃ ס'ad.ma.Te.khaH127.

20When the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֥יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430shall enlargeיַרְחִיב֩yar.ChivH7337thy borderגְּבֽוּלְךָ֮ge.vu.le.KhaH1366,as he hath promisedדִּבֶּר־di.ber-H1696thee, and thou shalt sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֙ve.'a.mar.TaH559,I will eatאֹכְלָ֣ה'o.khe.LahH398fleshבָשָׂ֔רva.SarH1320,because thy soulנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315longethתְאַוֶּ֥הte.'a.VehH183to eatלֶאֱכֹ֣לle.'e.KholH398fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320;thou mayest eatתֹּאכַ֥לto.KhalH398fleshבָּשָֽׂר׃ba.SarH1320,whatsoever thy soulנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315lusteth afterאַוַּ֥ת'a.VatH185.

21If the placeהַמָּק֗וֹםha.ma.KomH4725which the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶיךָ֮'e.lo.hei.KhaH430hath chosenיִבְחַ֜רyiv.CharH977to putלָשׂ֣וּםla.SumH7760his nameשְׁמ֣וֹshe.MoH8034there be too farיִרְחַ֨קyir.ChakH7368from thee, then thou shalt killוְזָבַחְתָּ֞ve.za.vach.TaH2076of thy herdמִבְּקָרְךָ֣mi.be.ka.re.ChaH1241and of thy flockוּמִצֹּֽאנְךָ֗u.mi.tzo.ne.KhaH6629,which the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hath givenנָתַ֤ןna.TanH5414thee, as I have commandedצִוִּיתִ֑ךָtzi.vi.Ti.khaH6680thee, and thou shalt eatוְאָֽכַלְתָּ֙ve.'a.khal.TaH398in thy gatesבִּשְׁעָרֶ֔יךָbish.'a.Rei.khaH8179whatsoever thy soulנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃naf.She.khaH5315lusteth afterאַוַּ֥ת'a.VatH185.

22Even as the roebuckהַצְּבִי֙ha.tze.ViH6643and the hartהָ֣אַיָּ֔לha.'ai.YalH354is eatenיֵאָכֵ֤לye.'a.KhelH398,so thou shalt eatתֹּאכְלֶ֑נּוּto.khe.Le.nuH398them: the uncleanהַטָּמֵא֙ha.ta.Me'H2931and the cleanוְהַטָּה֔וֹרve.ha.ta.HorH2889shall eatיֹאכְלֶֽנּוּ׃yo.khe.Le.nuH398ofthem alikeיַחְדָּ֖וyach.DavH3162.

23Only be sureחֲזַ֗קcha.ZakH2388that thou eatאֲכֹ֣ל'a.KholH398not the bloodהַדָּ֔םha.DamH1818:for the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818isthe lifeהַנָּ֑פֶשׁha.Na.feshH5315;and thou mayest not eatתֹאכַ֥לto.KhalH398the lifeהַנֶּ֖פֶשׁha.Ne.feshH5315with the fleshהַבָּשָֽׂר׃ha.ba.SarH1320.

24Thou shalt not eatתֹּאכְלֶ֑נּוּto.khe.Le.nuH398it; thou shalt pourתִּשְׁפְּכֶ֖נּוּtish.pe.Khe.nuH8210it upon the earthהָאָ֥רֶץha.'A.retzH776as waterכַּמָּֽיִם׃ka.Ma.yimH4325.

25Thou shalt not eatתֹּאכְלֶ֑נּוּto.khe.Le.nuH398it; that it may go wellיִיטַ֤בyi.TavH3190with thee, and with thy childrenוּלְבָנֶ֣יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121afterאַחֲרֶ֔יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310thee, when thou shalt doתַעֲשֶׂ֥הta.'a.SehH6213that which isrightהַיָּשָׁ֖רhai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

26Only thy holy thingsקָֽדָשֶׁ֛יךָka.da.Shei.chaH6944which thou hast, and thy vowsוּנְדָרֶ֑יךָu.ne.da.Rei.khaH5088,thou shalt takeתִּשָּׂ֣אti.Sa'H5375,and goוּבָ֔אתָu.Va.taH935unto the placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725which the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068shall chooseיִבְחַ֥רyiv.CharH977:

27And thou shalt offerוְעָשִׂ֤יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213thy burnt offeringsעֹלֹתֶ֙יךָ֙'o.lo.Tei.khaH5930,the fleshהַבָּשָׂ֣רha.ba.SarH1320and the bloodוְהַדָּ֔םve.ha.DamH1818,upon the altarמִזְבַּ֖חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430:and the bloodוְדַם־ve.dam-H1818of thy sacrificesזְבָחֶ֗יךָze.va.Chei.khaH2077shall be poured outיִשָּׁפֵךְ֙yi.sha.feKhH8210upon the altarמִזְבַּח֙miz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,and thou shalt eatתֹּאכֵֽל׃to.KhelH398the fleshוְהַבָּשָׂ֖רve.ha.ba.SarH1320.

28Observeשְׁמֹ֣רshe.MorH8104and hearוְשָׁמַעְתָּ֗ve.sha.ma'.TaH8085all these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697which I commandמְצַוֶּ֑ךָּme.tza.Ve.kaH6680thee, that it may go wellיִיטַ֨בyi.TavH3190with thee, and with thy childrenוּלְבָנֶ֤יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121afterאַחֲרֶ֙יךָ֙'a.cha.Rei.khaH310thee forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769,when thou doestתַעֲשֶׂה֙ta.'a.SehH6213that which isgoodהַטּ֣וֹבha.TovH2896and rightוְהַיָּשָׁ֔רve.hai.ya.SharH3477in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֖יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ ס'e.lo.Hei.khaH430.

29When the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430shall cut offיַכְרִית֩yakh.RitH3772the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471from beforeמִפָּנֶ֑יךָmi.pa.Nei.khaH6440thee, whither thou goestבָא־va'-H935to possessלָרֶ֥שֶׁתla.Re.shetH3423them, and thou succeedestוְיָרַשְׁתָּ֣ve.ya.rash.TaH3423them, and dwellestוְיָשַׁבְתָּ֖ve.ya.shav.TaH3427in their landבְּאַרְצָֽם׃be.'ar.TzamH776;

30Take heedהִשָּׁ֣מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104to thyself that thou be not snaredתִּנָּקֵשׁ֙ti.na.KeshH5367by followingאַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם'a.cha.rei.HemH310them, afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310that they be destroyedהִשָּׁמְדָ֣םhi.sha.me.DamH8045from beforeמִפָּנֶ֑יךָmi.pa.Nei.khaH6440thee; and that thou enquireתִּדְרֹ֨שׁtid.RoshH1875not after their godsלֵֽאלֹהֵיהֶ֜םle.lo.hei.HemH430,sayingלֵאמֹ֨רle.MorH559,How did these nationsהַגּוֹיִ֤םha.go.YimH1471serveיַעַבְד֜וּya.'av.DuH5647their godsאֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.HemH430?even so will I doוְאֶעֱשֶׂה־ve.'e.'e.seh-H6213likewiseגַּם־gam-H1571.

31Thou shalt not doתַעֲשֶׂ֣הta.'a.SehH6213so unto the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430:for every abominationתּוֹעֲבַ֨תto.'a.VatH8441to the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,which he hatethשָׂנֵ֗אsa.Ne'H8130,have they doneעָשׂוּ֙'a.SuH6213unto their godsלֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔םle.Lo.hei.HemH430;for even their sonsבְּנֵיהֶם֙be.nei.HemH1121and their daughtersבְּנֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔םbe.No.tei.HemH1323they have burntיִשְׂרְפ֥וּyis.re.FuH8313in the fireבָאֵ֖שׁva.'EshH784to their godsלֵֽאלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃Le.lo.hei.HemH430.
