1Now these arethe commandmentsהַמִּצְוָ֗הha.mitz.VahH4687,the statutesהַֽחֻקִּים֙ha.chu.KimH2706,and the judgmentsוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔יםve.ha.mish.pa.TimH4941,which the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430commandedצִוָּ֛הtzi.VahH6680to teachלְלַמֵּ֣דle.la.MedH3925you, that ye might doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213themin the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776whither ye goעֹבְרִ֥ים'oe.RimH5674to possessלְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃le.rish.TahH3423it:

2That thou mightest fearתִּירָ֜אti.Ra'H3372the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,to keepלִ֠שְׁמֹרLish.morH8104all his statutesחֻקֹּתָ֣יוchu.ko.TavH2708and his commandmentsוּמִצְוֹתָיו֮u.mitz.vo.TavH4687,which I commandמְצַוֶּךָ֒me.tza.ve.KhaH6680thee, thou, and thy sonוּבִנְךָ֣u.vin.KhaH1121,and thy son’sוּבֶן־u.ven-H1121sonבִּנְךָ֔bin.KhaH1121,all the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of thy lifeחַיֶּ֑יךָchai.Yei.khaH2416;and that thy daysיָמֶֽיךָ׃ya.Mei.khaH3117may be prolongedיַאֲרִכֻ֥ןya.'a.ri.KhunH748.

3Hearוְשָׁמַעְתָּ֤ve.sha.ma'.TaH8085therefore, O Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,and observeוְשָׁמַרְתָּ֣ve.sha.mar.TaH8104to doלַעֲשׂ֔וֹתla.'a.SotH6213it;that it may be wellיִיטַ֣בyi.TavH3190with thee, and that ye may increaseתִּרְבּ֖וּןtir.BunH7235mightilyמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966,as the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of thy fathersאֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙'a.vo.Tei.khaH1hath promisedדִּבֶּ֨רdi.BerH1696thee, in the landאֶ֛רֶץ'E.retzH776that flowethזָבַ֥תza.VatH2100with milkחָלָ֖בcha.LavH2461and honeyוּדְבָֽשׁ׃ פu.de.VashH1706.

4Hearשְׁמַ֖עshe.Ma'H8085,O Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478:The Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430isoneאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259Lordיְהוָ֥ה׀Yah.wehH3068:

5And thou shalt loveוְאָ֣הַבְתָּ֔ve.'A.hav.taH157the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430with all thine heartלְבָבְךָ֥le.va.ve.KhaH3824,and with all thy soulנַפְשְׁךָ֖naf.she.KhaH5315,and with all thy mightמְאֹדֶֽךָ׃me.'o.De.khaH3966.

6And these wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697,which I commandמְצַוְּךָ֛me.tza.ve.KhaH6680thee this dayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117,shall be in thine heartלְבָבֶֽךָ׃le.va.Ve.khaH3824:

7And thou shalt teach them diligentlyוְשִׁנַּנְתָּ֣םve.shi.nan.TamH8150unto thy childrenלְבָנֶ֔יךָle.va.Nei.khaH1121,and shalt talkוְדִבַּרְתָּ֖ve.di.bar.TaH1696of them when thou sittestבְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֤be.shiv.te.KhaH3427in thine houseבְּבֵיתֶ֙ךָ֙be.vei.Te.khaH1004,and when thou walkestH3212by the wayבַדֶּ֔רֶךְva.De.rekhH1870,and when thou liest downוּֽבְשָׁכְבְּךָ֖u.ve.sha.khe.be.KhaH7901,and when thou risest upוּבְקוּמֶֽךָ׃u.ve.ku.Me.chaH6965.

8And thou shalt bindוּקְשַׁרְתָּ֥םu.ke.shar.TamH7194them for a signלְא֖וֹתle.'otH226upon thine handיָדֶ֑ךָya.De.khaH3027,and they shall be as frontletsלְטֹטָפֹ֖תle.to.ta.FotH2903between thine eyesעֵינֶֽיךָ׃'ei.Nei.khaH5869.

9And thou shalt writeוּכְתַבְתָּ֛םu.khe.tav.TamH3789them upon the postsמְזוּזֹ֥תme.zu.ZotH4201of thy houseבֵּיתֶ֖ךָbei.Te.khaH1004,and on thy gatesוּבִשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃ סu.vish.'a.Rei.khaH8179.

10And it shall be, when the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430shall have broughtיְבִיאֲךָ֣׀ye.vi.'a.KhaH935thee into the landהָאָ֜רֶץha.'A.retzH776which he swareנִשְׁבַּ֧עnish.Ba'H7650unto thy fathersלַאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָla.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1,to Abrahamלְאַבְרָהָ֛םle.'av.ra.HamH85,to Isaacלְיִצְחָ֥קle.yitz.ChakH3327,and to Jacobוּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֖בu.le.ya.'a.KoH3290,to giveלָ֣תֶתLa.tetH5414thee greatגְּדֹלֹ֥תge.do.LotH1419and goodlyוְטֹבֹ֖תve.to.VotH2896citiesעָרִ֛ים'a.RimH5892,which thou buildedstבָנִֽיתָ׃va.Ni.taH1129not,

11And housesוּבָ֨תִּ֜יםu.Va.TimH1004fullמְלֵאִ֣יםme.le.'ImH4392of all goodטוּב֮tuvH2898things,which thou filledstמִלֵּאתָ֒mi.le.TaH4390not, and wellsוּבֹרֹ֤תu.vo.RotH953diggedחֲצוּבִים֙cha.tzu.VimH2672,which thou diggedstחָצַ֔בְתָּcha.Tzav.taH2672not, vineyardsכְּרָמִ֥יםke.ra.MimH3754and olive treesוְזֵיתִ֖יםve.zei.TimH2132,which thou plantedstנָטָ֑עְתָּna.Ta.'e.taH5193not; when thou shalt have eatenוְאָכַלְתָּ֖ve.'a.khal.TaH398and be fullוְשָׂבָֽעְתָּ׃ve.sa.Va.'e.taH7646;

12Thenbewareהִשָּׁ֣מֶרhi.Sha.merH8104lest thou forgetתִּשְׁכַּ֖חtish.KachH7911the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,which brought thee forthהוֹצִֽיאֲךָ֛ho.tzi.'a.KhaH3318out of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,from the houseמִבֵּ֥יתmi.BeitH1004of bondageעֲבָדִֽים׃'a.va.DimH5650.

13Thou shalt fearתִּירָ֖אti.Ra'H3372the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,and serveתַעֲבֹ֑דta.'a.VodH5647him, and shalt swearתִּשָּׁבֵֽעַ׃ti.sha.Ve.a'H7650by his nameוּבִשְׁמ֖וֹu.vish.MoH8034.

14Ye shall not goH3212afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430,of the godsמֵאֱלֹהֵי֙me.'e.lo.HeiH430of the peopleהָֽעַמִּ֔יםha.'a.MimH5971which areround aboutסְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃se.vi.vo.tei.KhemH5439you;

15(For the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430isa jealousקַנָּ֛אka.Na'H7067Godאֵ֥ל'elH410amongבְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָbe.kir.Be.chaH7130you) lest the angerאַף־'af-H639of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙'e.lo.Hei.khaH430be kindledיֶ֠חֱרֶהYe.che.rehH2734against thee, and destroyוְהִשְׁמִ֣ידְךָ֔ve.hish.Mi.de.khaH8045thee from off the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָֽה׃ סha.'a.da.MahH127.

16Ye shall not temptתְנַסּ֔וּte.na.SuH5254the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,as ye temptedנִסִּיתֶ֖םni.si.TemH5254himin Massahבַּמַּסָּֽה׃ba.ma.SahH4532.

17Ye shall diligentlyשָׁמ֣וֹרsha.MorH8104keepתִּשְׁמְר֔וּןtish.me.RunH8104the commandmentsמִצְוֹ֖תmitz.VotH4687of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430,and his testimoniesוְעֵדֹתָ֥יוve.'e.do.TavH5713,and his statutesוְחֻקָּ֖יוve.chu.KavH2706,which he hath commandedצִוָּֽךְ׃tzi.VakhH6680thee.

18And thou shalt doוְעָשִׂ֛יתָve.'a.Si.taH6213that which isrightהַיָּשָׁ֥רhai.ya.SharH3477and goodוְהַטּ֖וֹבve.ha.TovH2896in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:that it may be wellיִ֣יטַבYi.tavH3190with thee, and that thou mayest go inוּבָ֗אתָu.Va.taH935and possessוְיָֽרַשְׁתָּ֙ve.ya.rash.TaH3423the goodהַטֹּבָ֔הha.to.VahH2896landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776which the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068swareנִשְׁבַּ֥עnish.Ba'H7650unto thy fathersלַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃la.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1,

19To cast outלַהֲדֹ֥ףla.ha.DofH1920all thine enemiesאֹיְבֶ֖יךָ'o.ye.Vei.khaH341from beforeמִפָּנֶ֑יךָmi.pa.Nei.khaH6440thee, as the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068hath spokenדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696.

20Andwhen thy sonבִנְךָ֛vin.KhaH1121askethיִשְׁאָלְךָ֥yish.'a.le.KhaH7592thee in time to comeמָחָ֖רma.CharH4279,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, What meanthe testimoniesהָעֵדֹ֗תha.'e.DotH5713,and the statutesוְהַֽחֻקִּים֙ve.ha.chu.KimH2706,and the judgmentsוְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔יםve.ha.mish.pa.TimH4941,which the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430hath commandedצִוָּ֛הtzi.VahH6680you?

21Then thou shalt sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֣ve.'a.mar.TaH559unto thy sonלְבִנְךָ֔le.vin.KhaH1121,We were Pharaoh’sלְפַרְעֹ֖הle.far.'OhH6547bondmenעֲבָדִ֛ים'a.va.DimH5650in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714;and the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068brought us outוַיּוֹצִיאֵ֧נוּvai.yo.tzi.'E.nuH3318of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֖יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714with a mightyחֲזָקָֽה׃cha.za.KahH2389handבְּיָ֥דbe.YadH3027:

22And the Lordיְהוָ֡הYah.wehH3068shewedוַיִּתֵּ֣ןvai.yi.TenH5414signsאוֹתֹ֣ת'o.TotH226and wondersוּ֠מֹפְתִיםU.mo.fe.timH4159,greatגְּדֹלִ֨יםge.do.LimH1419and soreוְרָעִ֧ים׀ve.ra.'ImH7451,upon Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֛יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,upon Pharaohבְּפַרְעֹ֥הbe.far.'OhH6547,and upon all his householdבֵּית֖וֹbei.ToH1004,before our eyesלְעֵינֵֽינוּ׃le.'ei.Nei.nuH5869:

24And the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068commandedוַיְצַוֵּ֣נוּvay.tza.Ve.nuH6680us to doלַעֲשׂוֹת֙la.'a.sOtH6213all these statutesהַחֻקִּ֣יםha.chu.KimH2706,to fearלְיִרְאָ֖הle.yir.'AhH3372the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,for our goodלְט֥וֹבle.TovH2896alwaysהַיָּמִ֔יםhai.ya.MimH3117,that he might preserve us aliveלְחַיֹּתֵ֖נוּle.chai.yo.Te.nuH2421, as it isat this dayכְּהַיּ֥וֹםke.hai.YomH3117.
