1If there ariseיָק֤וּםya.KumH6965amongבְּקִרְבְּךָ֙be.kir.be.ChaH7130you a prophetנָבִ֔יאna.Vi'H5030,or a dreamerחֹלֵ֣םcho.LemH2492of dreamsחֲל֑וֹםcha.LomH2472,and givethוְנָתַ֥ןve.na.TanH5414thee a signא֖וֹת'otH226or a wonderמוֹפֵֽת׃mo.FetH4159,

2And the signH226or the wonderH4159come to passוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935,whereof he spakeדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696unto thee, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Let us goH3212afterאַחֲרֵ֨י'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֛ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֧ים'E.lo.HimH430,which thou hast not knownיְדַעְתָּ֖םye.da'.TamH3045,and let us serveוְנָֽעָבְדֵֽם׃ve.Na.'a.ve.DemH5647them;

3Thou shalt not hearkenתִשְׁמַ֗עtish.Ma'H8085unto the wordsדִּבְרֵי֙div.ReiH1697of that prophetהַנָּבִ֣יאha.na.Vi'H5030,or that dreamerחוֹלֵ֥םcho.LemH2492of dreamsהַחֲל֖וֹםha.cha.LomH2472:for the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068your GodH430provethמְנַסֶּ֞הme.na.SehH5254you, to knowH3045whether yeהֲיִשְׁכֶ֤םha.yish.KhemH3426loveאֹֽהֲבִים֙'o.ha.VimH157the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your GodH430with all your heartלְבַבְכֶ֖םle.vav.KhemH3824and with all your soulנַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃naf.she.KhemH5315.

4Ye shall walkH3212afterאַחֲרֵ֨י'a.cha.ReiH310the LordH3068your GodH430,and fearתִירָ֑אוּti.Ra.'uH3372him, and keepתִּשְׁמֹ֙רוּ֙tish.Mo.ruH8104his commandmentsמִצְוֹתָ֤יוmitz.vo.TavH4687,and obeyH8085his voiceוּבְקֹל֣וֹu.ve.ko.LoH6963,and ye shall serveתַעֲבֹ֖דוּta.'a.Vo.duH5647him, and cleaveתִדְבָּקֽוּן׃tid.ba.KunH1692unto him.

5And that prophetוְהַנָּבִ֣יאve.ha.na.Vi'H5030,or that dreamerחֹלֵם֩cho.LemH2492of dreamsהַחֲל֨וֹםha.cha.LomH2472,shall be put to deathיוּמָ֗תyu.MatH4191;because he hath spokenדִבֶּר־di.ber-H1696to turnסָ֠רָהSa.rahH5627youaway from the LordH3068your GodH430,which brought you outהַמּוֹצִ֥יאha.mo.Tzi'H3318of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֗יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and redeemedוְהַפֹּֽדְךָ֙ve.ha.po.de.KhaH6299you out of the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of bondageעֲבָדִ֔ים'a.va.DimH5650,to thrustלְהַדִּֽיחֲךָ֙le.ha.di.cha.KhaH5080thee out of the wayהַדֶּ֔רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870which the LordH3068thy GodH430commandedצִוְּךָ֛tzi.ve.KhaH6680thee to walk inH3212.So shalt thou putH1197the evilהָרָ֖עha.Ra'H7451awayH1197from the midstמִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃mi.kir.Be.chaH7130of thee.

6If thy brotherאָחִ֣יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251,the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of thy motherאִ֠מֶּךָ'I.me.khaH517,or thy sonבִנְךָ֨vin.KhaH1121,or thy daughterבִתְּךָ֜vi.te.KhaH1323,or the wifeאֵ֣שֶׁת'E.shetH802of thy bosomחֵיקֶ֗ךָchei.Ke.chaH2436,or thy friendרֵֽעֲךָ֛re.'a.KhaH7453, which isas thine own soulכְּנַפְשְׁךָ֖ke.naf.she.KhaH5315,enticeיְסִֽיתְךָ֡ye.si.te.KhaH5496thee secretlyבַּסֵּ֣תֶרba.Se.terH5643,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Let us goH3212and serveוְנַֽעַבְדָה֙ve.na.'av.DahH5647otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsH430,which thou hast not knownיָדַ֔עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045,thou, nor thy fathersוַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃va.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1;

7Namely,of the godsH430of the peopleהָֽעַמִּ֗יםha.'a.MimH5971which areround aboutסְבִיבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םse.vi.Vo.tei.KhemH5439you, nighהַקְּרֹבִ֣יםha.ke.ro.VimH7138unto thee, or far offהָרְחֹקִ֣יםha.re.cho.KimH7350from thee, from the oneendמִקְצֵ֥הmik.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776even unto the otherendקְצֵ֥הke.TzehH7097of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776;

8Thou shalt not consentתֹאבֶ֣הto.VehH14unto him, nor hearkenתִשְׁמַ֖עtish.Ma'H8085unto him; neither shall thine eyeעֵֽינְךָ֙'ei.ne.KhaH5869pityתָח֤וֹסta.ChosH2347him, neither shalt thou spareתַחְמֹ֥לtach.MolH2550,neither shalt thou concealתְכַסֶּ֖הte.kha.SehH3680him:

9But thou shalt surelyהָרֹג֙ha.RogH2026killתַּֽהַרְגֶ֔נּוּta.har.Ge.nuH2026him; thine handיָֽדְךָ֛ya.de.KhaH3027shall be firstבָרִֽאשׁוֹנָ֖הva.ri.sho.NahH7223upon him to put him to deathלַהֲמִית֑וֹla.ha.mi.ToH4191,and afterwardsבָּאַחֲרֹנָֽה׃ba.'a.cha.ro.NahH314the handוְיַ֥דve.YadH3027of all the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971.

10And thou shalt stoneוּסְקַלְתּ֥וֹu.se.kal.ToH5619him with stonesבָאֲבָנִ֖יםva.'a.va.NimH68,that he dieH4191;because he hath soughtבִקֵּ֗שׁvi.KeshH1245to thrust thee awayלְהַדִּֽיחֲךָ֙le.ha.di.cha.KhaH5080from the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,which brought thee outהַמּוֹצִיאֲךָ֛ha.mo.tzi.'a.KhaH3318of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,from the houseמִבֵּ֥יתmi.BeitH1004of bondageעֲבָדִֽים׃'a.va.DimH5650.

11And all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall hearיִשְׁמְע֖וּyish.me.'UH8085,and fearוְיִֽרָא֑וּןve.yi.ra.'UnH3372,and shall doלַעֲשׂ֗וֹתla.'a.SotH6213no moreיוֹסִ֣פוּyo.Si.fuH3254anyכַּדָּבָ֥רka.da.VarH1697such wickednessהָרָ֛עha.Ra'H7451as this is amongבְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ סbe.kir.Be.chaH7130you.

12If thou shalt hearH8085sayin oneבְּאַחַ֣תbe.'a.ChatH259of thy citiesעָרֶ֗יךָ'a.Rei.khaH5892,which the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430hath givenנֹתֵ֥ןno.TenH5414thee to dwellלָשֶׁ֥בֶתla.She.vetH3427there, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

13Certainmenאֲנָשִׁ֤ים'a.na.ShimH582,the childrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Belialבְלִיַּ֙עַל֙ve.li.Ya.'alH1100,are gone outיָצְא֞וּya.tze.'UH3318from amongמִקִּרְבֶּ֔ךָmi.kir.Be.chaH7130you, and have withdrawnוַיַּדִּ֛יחוּvai.ya.Di.chuH5080the inhabitantsH3427of their cityH5892,sayingH559,Let us goH3212and serveוְנַעַבְדָ֛הve.na.'av.DahH5647otherאֲחֵרִ֖ים'a.che.RimH312godsH430,which ye have not knownיְדַעְתֶּֽם׃ye.da'.TemH3045;

14Then shalt thou enquireוְדָרַשְׁתָּ֧ve.da.rash.TaH1875,and make searchוְחָקַרְתָּ֧ve.cha.kar.TaH2713,and askוְשָׁאַלְתָּ֖ve.sha.'al.TaH7592diligentlyהֵיטֵ֑בhei.TevH3190; and, behold, if it betruthאֱמֶת֙'e.MetH571, andthe thingהַדָּבָ֔רha.da.VarH1697certainנָכ֣וֹןna.KhonH3559, thatsuchהַזֹּ֖אתha.ZotH2063abominationהַתּוֹעֵבָ֥הha.to.'e.VahH8441is wroughtנֶעֶשְׂתָ֛הne.'es.TahH6213amongH7130you;

15Thou shalt surelyהַכֵּ֣הha.KehH5221smiteתַכֶּ֗הta.KehH5221the inhabitantsיֹֽשְׁבֵ֛יyo.she.VeiH3427of that cityהָעִ֥ירha.'IrH5892with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָ֑רֶבCha.revH2719,destroying it utterlyהַחֲרֵ֨םha.cha.RemH2763, and all that istherein, and the cattleבְּהֶמְתָּ֖הּbe.hem.TahH929thereof, with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָֽרֶב׃Cha.revH2719.

16And thou shalt gatherתִּקְבֹּץ֮tik.BotzH6908all the spoilשְׁלָלָ֗הּshe.la.LahH7998of it into the midstתּ֣וֹךְTokhH8432of the streetרְחֹבָהּ֒re.cho.VahH7339thereof, and shalt burnוְשָׂרַפְתָּ֨ve.sa.raf.TaH8313with fireבָאֵ֜שׁva.'EshH784the cityH5892,and all the spoilשְׁלָלָהּ֙she.la.LahH7998thereof every whitכָּלִ֔ילka.LilH3632,for the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068thy Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430:and it shall be an heapתֵּ֣לtelH8510for everעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769;it shall not be built againתִבָּנֶ֖הti.ba.NehH1129.

17And there shall cleaveיִדְבַּ֧קyid.BakH1692noughtמְא֖וּמָהme.'U.mahH3972of the cursed thingהַחֵ֑רֶםha.Che.remH2764to thine handבְּיָדְךָ֛be.ya.de.KhaH3027:that the LordH3068may turnיָשׁ֨וּבya.ShuvH7725from the fiercenessמֵחֲר֣וֹןme.cha.RonH2740of his angerאַפּ֗וֹ'a.PoH639,and shewוְנָֽתַן־ve.na.tan-H5414thee mercyרַחֲמִים֙ra.cha.MimH7356,and have compassionוְרִֽחַמְךָ֣ve.ri.cham.KhaH7355upon thee, and multiplyוְהִרְבֶּ֔ךָve.hir.Be.khaH7235thee, as he hath swornנִשְׁבַּ֖עnish.Ba'H7650unto thy fathersלַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃la.'a.vo.Tei.khaH1;
