16“As for the wordהַדָּבָ֛רha.da.VarH1697אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you have spokenדִּבַּ֥רְתָּdi.Bar.taH1696to usאֵלֵ֖ינוּ'e.Lei.nuH413in the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,we will notאֵינֶ֥נּוּ'ei.Ne.nuH369listenשֹׁמְעִ֖יםsho.me.'ImH8085to youאֵלֶֽיךָ׃'e.Lei.khaH413!

17Insteadכִּ֩יkiH3588,we will doH6213אֶֽת־'et-H853everythingכָּל־kol-H3605we vowedהַדָּבָ֣ר׀ha.da.VarH1697אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834to doיָצָ֣א מִפִּ֗ינוּya.Tza' mi.Pi.nuH3318 H6310:We will burn incenseלְקַטֵּ֞רle.ka.TerH6999to the Queenלִמְלֶ֣כֶתlim.Le.khetH4446of Heavenהַשָּׁמַיִם֮ha.sha.ma.YimH8064and offerוְהַסֵּֽיךְ־ve.ha.seikh-H5258drink offeringsנְסָכִים֒ne.sa.KhimH5262to her,just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֨רka.'a.SherH834weאֲנַ֤חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587,our fathersוַאֲבֹתֵ֙ינוּ֙va.'a.vo.Tei.nuH1,our kingsמְלָכֵ֣ינוּme.la.Khei.nuH4428,and our officialsוְשָׂרֵ֔ינוּve.sa.Rei.nuH8269didH6213in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063and in the streetsוּבְחֻצ֖וֹתu.ve.chu.TzotH2351of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389.At that time we had plentyוַנִּֽשְׂבַּֽע־va.nis.ba'-H7646of foodלֶ֙חֶם֙ וַנִּֽהְיֶ֣הle.chem va.nih.YehH3899 H1961and good thingsטוֹבִ֔יםto.VimH2896,and we sawרָאִֽינוּ׃ra.'I.nuH7200noלֹ֥אlo'H3808disasterוְרָעָ֖הve.ra.'AhH7451.

18But from the timeוּמִן־ אָ֡זu.min- 'azH4480 H227we stoppedחָדַ֜לְנוּcha.Dal.nuH2308burning incenseלְקַטֵּ֨רle.ka.TerH6999to the Queenלִמְלֶ֧כֶתlim.Le.khetH4446of Heavenהַשָּׁמַ֛יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and pouring outוְהַסֵּֽךְ־ve.ha.sekh-H5258drink offeringsנְסָכִ֖יםne.sa.KhimH5262to her,we have lackedחָסַ֣רְנוּcha.Sar.nuH2637everythingכֹ֑לKholH3605and have been perishingתָּֽמְנוּ׃Ta.me.nuH8552by swordוּבַחֶ֥רֶבu.va.Che.revH2719and famineוּבָרָעָ֖בu.va.ra.'AvH7458.”

19“Moreover,” said the women, “whenוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588weאֲנַ֤חְנוּ'a.Nach.nuH587burned incenseמְקַטְּרִים֙me.ka.te.RimH6999to the Queenלִמְלֶ֣כֶתlim.Le.khetH4446of Heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and poured outוּלְהַסֵּ֥ךְu.le.ha.SekhH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִ֑יםne.sa.KhimH5262to her,was it withoutהֲמִֽבַּלְעֲדֵ֣יha.mi.bal.'a.DeiH1107our husbands’ knowledgeאֲנָשֵׁ֗ינוּ'a.na.Shei.nuH582that we madeעָשִׂ֨ינוּ'a.Si.nuH6213sacrificial cakesכַּוָּנִים֙ka.va.NimH3561in her imageלְהַ֣עֲצִבָ֔הle.Ha.'a.tzi.VahH6087and poured outוְהַסֵּ֥ךְve.ha.SekhH5258drink offeringsנְסָכִֽים׃ פne.sa.KhimH5262to her?”

22So the LORDיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068couldיוּכַל֩yu.KhalH3201noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808longerע֜וֹדodH5750endureלָשֵׂ֗את מִפְּנֵי֙la.Set mi.pe.NeiH5375 H6440the evilרֹ֣עַRo.a'H7455deedsמַעַלְלֵיכֶ֔ם מִפְּנֵ֥יma.'a.lei.Khem mi.pe.NeiH4611 H6440and detestable actsהַתּוֹעֵבֹ֖תha.to.'e.VotH8441אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you committedעֲשִׂיתֶ֑ם'a.si.TemH6213,and your landאַ֠רְצְכֶם'Ar.tze.khemH776becameוַתְּהִ֣יva.te.HiH1961a desolationלְחָרְבָּ֨הle.cha.re.BahH2723,a horrorוּלְשַׁמָּ֧הu.le.sha.MahH8047,and an object of cursingוְלִקְלָלָ֛הve.lik.la.LahH7045,withoutמֵאֵ֥יןme.'EinH369inhabitantיוֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427,as it is thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayכְּהַיּ֥וֹםke.hai.YomH3117.

23Becauseמִפְּנֵי֩mi.pe.NeiH6440אֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834you burned incenseקִטַּרְתֶּ֜םki.tar.TemH6999וַאֲשֶׁ֧רva.'a.SherH834and sinnedחֲטָאתֶ֣םcha.ta.TemH2398against the LORDלַיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068and did notוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808obeyשְׁמַעְתֶּם֙she.ma'.TemH8085the voiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068orלֹ֣אlo'H3808walkהֲלַכְתֶּ֑םha.lakh.TemH1980inעַל־ כֵּ֞ן'al- kenH5921 H3651His instructionוּבְתֹרָת֧וֹu.ve.to.ra.ToH8451,His statutesוּבְחֻקֹּתָ֛יוu.ve.chu.ko.TavH2708,and His testimoniesוּבְעֵדְוֹתָ֖יוu.ve.'e.de.vo.TavH5715,thisהַזֹּ֖אתha.ZotH2063disasterהָרָעָ֥הha.ra.'AhH7451has befallen youקָרָ֥אתka.RatH7122אֶתְכֶ֛ם'et.KhemH853,as you see todayכַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ סkai.Yom ha.ZehH3117 H2088.”
