1Nowוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961whenכִּֽי־ki-H3588menהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120beganהֵחֵ֣לhe.ChelH2490to multiplyלָרֹ֖בla.RoH7231onעַל־'al-H5921the faceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָֽאֲדָמָ֑הha.'a.da.MahH127and daughtersוּבָנ֖וֹתu.va.NotH1323were bornיֻלְּד֥וּyu.le.DuH3205to them,

2the sonsבְנֵי־ve.nei-H1121of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430אֶת־'et-H853sawוַיִּרְא֤וּvai.yir.'UH7200thatכִּ֥יkiH3588the daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of menהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120הֵ֑נָּהHe.nahH2007werebeautifulטֹבֹ֖תto.VotH2896,and they tookוַיִּקְח֤וּvai.yik.ChuH3947as wivesנָשִׁ֔יםna.ShimH802whomeverמִכֹּ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֥רmi.Kol 'a.SherH3605 H834they choseבָּחָֽרוּ׃ba.Cha.ruH977.

3So the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “My Spiritרוּחִ֤יru.ChiH7307will notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808contendיָד֨וֹןya.DonH1777with manבָֽאָדָם֙va.'a.DamH120foreverלְעֹלָ֔םle.'o.LamH5769,forבְּשַׁגַּ֖םbe.sha.GamH1571heה֣וּאhu'H1931ismortalבָשָׂ֑רva.SarH1320;his daysיָמָ֔יוya.MavH3117shall beוְהָי֣וּve.ha.YuH1961120מֵאָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖יםme.'Ah ve.'es.RimH3967 H6242yearsשָׁנָֽה׃sha.NahH8141.”

4The Nephilimהַנְּפִלִ֞יםha.ne.fi.LimH5303wereהָי֣וּha.YuH1961on the earthבָאָרֶץ֮va.'a.RetzH776in those daysבַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵם֒bai.ya.Mim ha.HemH3117 H1992—andוְגַ֣םve.GamH1571afterward as wellאַֽחֲרֵי־ כֵ֗ן'a.cha.rei- KhenH310 H3651—whenאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the sonsבְּנֵ֤יbe.NeiH1121of Godהָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ha.'E.lo.HimH430had relations withיָבֹ֜אוּ אֶל־ya.Vo.'u 'el-H935 H413the daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of menהָֽאָדָ֔םha.'a.DamH120.And they boreוְיָלְד֖וּve.yal.DuH3205them childrenwhoהֵ֧מָּהHe.mahH1992becamethe mighty menהַגִּבֹּרִ֛יםha.gi.bo.RimH1368אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834of oldמֵעוֹלָ֖םme.'o.LamH5769,menאַנְשֵׁ֥י'an.SheiH582of renownהַשֵּֽׁם׃ פha.ShemH8034.

5Then the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200thatכִּ֥יkiH3588the wickednessרָעַ֥תra.'AtH7451of manהָאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120wasgreatרַבָּ֛הra.BahH7227upon the earthבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776,and that everyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605inclinationיֵ֙צֶר֙ye.tzerH3336of the thoughtsמַחְשְׁבֹ֣תmach.she.VotH4284of his heartלִבּ֔וֹli.BoH3820wasaltogetherרַ֥קrakH7535evilרַ֖עra'H7451allכָּל־kol-H3605the timeהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117.

6And the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068regrettedוַיִּנָּ֣חֶםvai.yi.Na.chemH5162thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588He had madeעָשָׂ֥ה'a.SahH6213אֶת־'et-H853manהָֽאָדָ֖םha.'a.DamH120on the earthבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776,and He was grievedוַיִּתְעַצֵּ֖בvai.yit.'a.TzevH6087inאֶל־'el-H413His heartלִבּֽוֹ׃li.BoH3820.

7So the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I will blot outאֶמְחֶ֨ה'em.ChehH4229אֶת־'et-H853manהָאָדָ֤םha.'a.DamH120,whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have createdבָּרָ֙אתִי֙ba.Ra.tiH1254,fromמֵעַל֙me.'AlH5921the faceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָֽאֲדָמָ֔הha.'a.da.MahH127—every manמֵֽאָדָם֙me.'a.DamH120עַד־'ad-H5704andעַד־'ad-H5704beastבְּהֵמָ֔הbe.he.MahH929andוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704crawling creatureרֶ֖מֶשׂRe.mesH7431and birdע֣וֹףofH5775of the airהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064—forכִּ֥יkiH3588I am grievedנִחַ֖מְתִּיni.Cham.tiH5162thatכִּ֥יkiH3588I have made themעֲשִׂיתִֽם׃'a.si.TimH6213.”
