35וַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961As theyהֵ֚םhemH1992began emptyingמְרִיקִ֣יםme.ri.KimH7324their sacksשַׂקֵּיהֶ֔םsa.kei.HemH8242,thereוְהִנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009in each man’sאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376sackבְּשַׂקּ֑וֹbe.sa.KoH8242was his bagצְרוֹר־tze.ror-H6872of silverכַּסְפּ֖וֹkas.PoH3701!And when theyהֵ֥מָּהHe.mahH1992and their fatherוַאֲבִיהֶ֖םva.'a.vi.HemH1sawוַיִּרְא֞וּvai.yir.'UH7200אֶת־'et-H853the bagsצְרֹר֧וֹתtze.ro.RotH6872of silverכַּסְפֵּיהֶ֛םkas.pei.HemH3701,they were dismayedוַיִּירָֽאוּ׃vai.yi.Ra.'uH3372.
36Their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֔ם'a.vi.HemH1אֹתִ֖י'o.TiH853Jacobיַעֲקֹ֣בya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to themאֲלֵהֶם֙'a.le.HemH413, “You have deprived me of my sonsשִׁכַּלְתֶּ֑םshi.kal.TemH7921.Josephיוֹסֵ֤ףyo.SefH3130is goneאֵינֶ֙נּוּ֙'ei.Ne.nuH369and Simeonוְשִׁמְע֣וֹןve.shim.'onH8095is no moreאֵינֶ֔נּוּ'ei.Ne.nuH369וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853.Now you want to takeתִּקָּ֔חוּti.Ka.chuH3947Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֣ןbin.ya.MinH1144.Everythingכֻלָּֽנָה׃khu.La.nahH3605is goingהָי֥וּha.YuH1961against meעָלַ֖י'a.LaiH5921!”
37Then Reubenרְאוּבֵן֙re.'u.VenH7205saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413his fatherאָבִ֣יו לֵאמֹ֔ר'a.Viv le.MorH1H559אֶת־'et-H853, “You may killתָּמִ֔יתta.MitH4191my twoשְׁנֵ֤יshe.NeiH8147sonsבָנַי֙va.NaiH1121ifאִם־'im-H518I failלֹ֥אlo'H3808to bring him backאֲבִיאֶ֖נּוּ'a.vi.'E.nuH935to youאֵלֶ֑יךָ'e.Lei.khaH413.Putתְּנָ֤הte.NahH5414himאֹתוֹ֙'o.ToH853inעַל־'al-H5921my careיָדִ֔יya.DiH3027,and Iוַאֲנִ֖יva.'a.NiH589will return himאֲשִׁיבֶ֥נּוּ אֵלֶֽיךָ׃'a.shi.Ve.nu 'e.Lei.khaH7725H413.”
38But Jacob repliedוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “My sonבְּנִ֖יbe.NiH1121will notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808go down thereיֵרֵ֥דye.RedH3381with youעִמָּכֶ֑ם'i.ma.KhemH5973,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588his brotherאָחִ֨יו'a.ChivH251is deadמֵ֜תmetH4191,and heוְה֧וּאve.Hu'H1931aloneלְבַדּ֣וֹle.va.DoH905is leftנִשְׁאָ֗רnish.'ArH7604.If any harm comesוּקְרָאָ֤הוּ אָסוֹן֙u.ke.ra.'A.hu 'a.sOnH7122H611to him on yourאֲשֶׁ֣ר תֵּֽלְכוּ־'a.Sher te.le.khu-H834H1980journeyבַּדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ba.De.rekhH1870,you will bring my gray hairשֵׂיבָתִ֛יsei.va.TiH7872downוְהוֹרַדְתֶּ֧םve.ho.rad.TemH3381אֶת־'et-H853to Sheolשְׁאֽוֹלָה׃she.'o.lahH7585in sorrowבְּיָג֖וֹןbe.ya.GonH3015.”
