11On reachingוַיִּפְגַּ֨עvai.yif.Ga'H6293a certain placeבַּמָּק֜וֹםba.ma.KomH4725,he spent the nightוַיָּ֤לֶןvai.Ya.lenH3885thereשָׁם֙shamH8033becauseכִּי־ki-H3588the sunהַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁha.She.meshH8121had setבָ֣אva'H935.And takingוַיִּקַּח֙vai.yi.KachH3947one of the stonesמֵאַבְנֵ֣יme.'av.NeiH68from that placeהַמָּק֔וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,he putוַיָּ֖שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760it under his headמְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יוme.ra.'a.sho.TavH4763and lay downוַיִּשְׁכַּ֖בvai.yish.KavH7901to sleepבַּמָּק֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃ba.ma.Kom ha.Hu'H1931H4725.
12And Jacob had a dreamוַֽיַּחֲלֹ֗םvai.ya.cha.LomH2492aboutוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009a ladderסֻלָּם֙su.LamH5551that restedמֻצָּ֣בmu.TzavH5324on the earthאַ֔רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776with its topוְרֹאשׁ֖וֹve.ro.ShoH7218reachingמַגִּ֣יעַma.Gi.a'H5060up to heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יְמָה וְהִנֵּה֙ha.sha.Ma.ye.mah ve.hi.NehH8064H2009,and God’sאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430angelsמַלְאֲכֵ֣יmal.'a.KheiH4397were going upעֹלִ֥ים'o.LimH5927and downוְיֹרְדִ֖יםve.yo.re.DimH3381the ladder.
13And thereוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009at the topעָלָיו֮'a.LavH5921the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068was standingנִצָּ֣בni.TzavH5324and sayingוַיֹּאמַר֒vai.yo.MarH559, “Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵי֙'e.lo.HeiH430of your fatherאָבִ֔יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֣ם'av.ra.HamH85and the Godוֵאלֹהֵ֖יve.lo.HeiH430of Isaacיִצְחָ֑קyitz.ChakH3327.I will give youאֶתְּנֶ֖נָּה'et.te.Ne.nahH5414and your descendantsוּלְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃u.le.zar.'E.khaH2233the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776on whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834youאַתָּה֙'a.TahH859now lieשֹׁכֵ֣ב עָלֶ֔יהָsho.Khev 'a.Lei.haH7901H5921.
14Your descendantsזַרְעֲךָ֙zar.'a.KhaH2233will beוְהָיָ֤הve.ha.YahH1961like the dustכַּעֲפַ֣רka.'a.FarH6083of the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and you will spread outוּפָרַצְתָּ֛u.fa.ratz.TaH6555to the westיָ֥מָּהYa.mahH3220and eastוָקֵ֖דְמָהva.Ke.de.mahH6924and northוְצָפֹ֣נָהve.tza.Fo.nahH6828and southוָנֶ֑גְבָּהva.Neg.bahH5045.Allכָּל־kol-H3605the familiesמִשְׁפְּחֹ֥תmish.pe.ChotH4940of the earthהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127will be blessedוְנִבְרֲכ֥וּve.niv.ra.KhuH1288through youand your offspringוּבְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃u.ve.zar.'E.khaH2233.
15Lookוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009,Iאָנֹכִ֜י'a.no.KhiH595am with youעִמָּ֗ךְ'i.MakhH5973,and I will watch over youוּשְׁמַרְתִּ֙יךָ֙u.she.mar.Ti.khaH8104whereverבְּכֹ֣לbe.KholH3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834you goתֵּלֵ֔ךְte.LekhH1980,and I will bring you backוַהֲשִׁ֣בֹתִ֔יךָva.ha.Shi.vo.Ti.khaH7725toאֶל־'el-H413thisהַזֹּ֑אתha.ZotH2063landהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127.Forכִּ֚יkiH3588I will notלֹ֣אlo'H3808leaveאֶֽעֱזָבְךָ֔'e.'e.za.ve.KhaH5800you untilעַ֚ד'adH5704אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834אִם־'im-H518I have doneעָשִׂ֔יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213אֵ֥ת'etH853whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have promisedדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696you.”
