1Now the twoשְׁנֵ֨יshe.NeiH8147angelsהַמַּלְאָכִ֤יםha.mal.'a.KhimH4397arrivedוַ֠יָּבֹאוּVai.ya.vo.'uH935at Sodomסְדֹ֙מָה֙se.Do.mahH5467in the eveningבָּעֶ֔רֶבba.'E.revH6153,and Lotוְל֖וֹטve.LotH3876was sittingיֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427in the gatewayבְּשַֽׁעַר־be.sha.'ar-H8179ofסְדֹ֑םse.DomH5467the city.When Lotלוֹט֙lOtH3876saw themוַיַּרְא־vai.yar'-H7200,he got upוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965to meet themלִקְרָאתָ֔םlik.ra.TamH7122,bowedוַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּvai.yish.Ta.chuH7812facedownאַפַּ֖יִם אָֽרְצָה׃'a.Pa.yim 'A.re.tzahH639 H776,

2and saidוַיֹּ֜אמֶר הִנֶּ֣ה נָּא־vai.Yo.mer hi.Neh na'-H559 H2009 H4994, “My lordsאֲדֹנַ֗י'a.do.NaiH113,pleaseנָ֠אna'H4994turn asideס֣וּרוּSu.ruH5493intoאֶל־'el-H413the houseבֵּ֨יתbeitH1004of your servantעַבְדְּכֶ֤ם'av.de.KhemH5650;washוְרַחֲצ֣וּve.ra.cha.TzuH7364your feetרַגְלֵיכֶ֔םrag.lei.KhemH7272and spend the nightוְלִ֙ינוּ֙ve.Li.nuH3885.Then you can rise earlyוְהִשְׁכַּמְתֶּ֖םve.hish.kam.TemH7925and goוַהֲלַכְתֶּ֣םva.ha.lakh.TemH1980on your wayלְדַרְכְּכֶ֑םle.dar.ke.KhemH1870.” “Noלֹּ֔א כִּ֥יLo' kiH3808 H3588,”they answeredוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “we will spend the nightנָלִֽין׃na.LinH3885in the squareבָרְח֖וֹבva.re.ChovH7339.”

3But Lot insistedוַיִּפְצַר־vai.yif.tzar-H6484so stronglyמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966that they followedוַיָּסֻ֣רוּvai.ya.Su.ruH5493himאֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413intoוַיָּבֹ֖אוּ אֶל־vai.ya.Vo.'u 'el-H935 H413his houseבֵּית֑וֹbei.ToH1004.He preparedוַיַּ֤עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a feastמִשְׁתֶּ֔הmish.TehH4960for themand bakedאָפָ֖ה'a.FahH644unleavened breadוּמַצּ֥וֹתu.ma.TzotH4682,and they ateוַיֹּאכֵֽלוּ׃vai.yo.Khe.luH398.
