16Nowוַיְהִ֨יvay.HiH1961whenכַאֲשֶׁר־ תַּ֜מּוּkha.'a.Sher- Ta.muH834 H8552allכָּל־kol-H3605the fightingהַמִּלְחָמָ֛הha.mil.cha.MahH4421menאַנְשֵׁ֧י'an.SheiH582amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130the peopleהָעָֽם׃ סha.'AmH5971had diedלָמ֖וּתla.MutH4191,

17the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidוַיְדַבֵּ֥רvay.da.BerH1696to meאֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃'e.Lai le.MorH413 H559,

18“Todayהַיּ֛וֹםhai.YomH3117אֶת־'et-H853youאַתָּ֨ה'a.TahH859are going to crossעֹבֵ֥ר'o.VerH5674the borderגְּב֥וּלge.VulH1366of Moabמוֹאָ֖בmo.'AvH4124אֶת־'et-H853at Arעָֽר׃'ArH6144.

19But when you get closeוְקָרַבְתָּ֗ve.ka.rav.TaH7126toמ֚וּלmulH4136the Ammonitesבְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹןbe.Nei a.MonH1121 H5983,do notאַל־'al-H408harass themתְּצֻרֵ֖ם וְאַל־te.tzu.Rem ve.'al-H6696 H408or provokeתִּתְגָּ֣רtit.GarH1624them,forכִּ֣יkiH3588I will notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808giveאֶ֠תֵּן'E.tenH5414youany of the landמֵאֶ֨רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the Ammonitesבְּנֵי־ עַמּ֤וֹןbe.nei- a.MonH1121 H5983יְרֻשָּׁ֔הye.ru.ShahH3425כִּ֥יkiH3588.I have given itנְתַתִּ֥יהָne.ta.Ti.haH5414to the descendantsלִבְנֵי־liv.nei-H1121of Lotל֖וֹטLotH3876as their possessionיְרֻשָּֽׁה׃ye.ru.ShahH3425.”

20(That tooאַף־'af-H637הִ֑ואhi'H1931was regardedתֵּחָשֵׁ֖בte.cha.ShevH2803as the landאֶֽרֶץ־'e.retz-H776of the Rephaimרְפָאִ֥יםre.fa.'ImH7497, whoרְפָאִ֤יםre.fa.'ImH7497used to liveיָֽשְׁבוּ־ya.she.vu-H3427thereלְפָנִ֔יםle.fa.NimH6440,though the Ammonitesוְהָֽעַמֹּנִ֔יםve.ha.'a.mo.NimH5984calledיִקְרְא֥וּyik.re.'UH7121themZamzummitesזַמְזֻמִּֽים׃zam.zu.MimH2157.

21They werea peopleעַ֣ם'amH5971greatגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419and manyוְרַ֛בve.RavH7227,as tallוָרָ֖םva.RamH7311as the Anakitesכָּעֲנָקִ֑יםka.'a.na.KimH6062.But the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068destroyed themוַיַּשְׁמִידֵ֤םvai.yash.mi.DemH8045from beforeמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH6440the Ammonites,who drove them outוַיִּירָשֻׁ֖םvai.yi.ra.ShumH3423and settledוַיֵּשְׁב֥וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427in their placeתַחְתָּֽם׃tach.TamH8478,

22just asכַּאֲשֶׁ֤רka.'a.SherH834He had doneעָשָׂה֙'a.SahH6213for the descendantsלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121of Esauעֵשָׂ֔ו'e.SavH6215who livedהַיֹּשְׁבִ֖יםhai.yo.she.VimH3427in Seirבְּשֵׂעִ֑ירbe.se.'IrH8165,whenאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834He destroyedהִשְׁמִ֤ידhish.MidH8045אֶת־'et-H853the Horitesהַחֹרִי֙ha.cho.RiH2752from before themמִפְּנֵיהֶ֔םmi.pe.nei.HemH6440.They drove them outוַיִּֽירָשֻׁם֙vai.yi.ra.ShumH3423and have livedוַיֵּשְׁב֣וּvai.ye.she.VuH3427in their placeתַחְתָּ֔םtach.TamH8478toעַ֖ד'adH5704thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.
