18Then Jehuיֵהוּא֙ye.Hu'H3058אֶת־'et-H853brought allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971togetherוַיִּקְבֹּ֤ץvai.yik.BotzH6908and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559אֲלֵהֶ֔ם'a.le.HemH413, “Ahabאַחְאָ֕ב'ach.'AvH256servedעָבַ֥ד'a.VadH5647אֶת־'et-H853Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168a littleמְעָ֑טme.'AtH4592,but Jehuיֵה֖וּאye.Hu'H3058will serve himיַעַבְדֶ֥נּוּya.'av.De.nuH5647a lotהַרְבֵּֽה׃har.BehH7235.

19Now, thereforeוְעַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH6258,summonקִרְא֨וּkir.'UH7121to meאֵלַ֜י'e.LaiH413allכָל־khol-H3605the prophetsנְבִיאֵ֣יne.vi.'EiH5030of Baalהַבַּ֡עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,allכָּל־kol-H3605his servantsעֹבְדָ֣יו'oe.DavH5647,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605his priestsכֹּהֲנָיו֩ko.ha.NavH3548.See that no oneאִ֣ישׁ אַל־'ish 'al-H376 H408is missingיִפָּקֵ֗דyi.pa.KedH6485,forכִּי֩kiH3588I havea greatגָּד֥וֹלga.DolH1419sacrificeזֶ֨בַחZe.vachH2077for Baalלַבַּ֔עַלla.Ba.'alH1168.Whoeverכֹּ֥לkolH3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834is missingיִפָּקֵ֖דyi.pa.KedH6485will notלֹ֣אlo'H3808liveיִֽחְיֶ֑הyich.YehH2421.”But Jehuוְיֵהוּא֙ve.ye.Hu'H3058was actingעָשָׂ֣ה'a.SahH6213deceptivelyבְעָקְבָּ֔הve.'a.ke.BahH6122in order toלְמַ֥עַןle.Ma.'anH4616destroyהַאֲבִ֖ידha.'a.VidH6אֶת־'et-H853the servantsעֹבְדֵ֥י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבָּֽעַל׃ha.Ba.'alH1168.

20And Jehuיֵה֗וּאye.Hu'H3058commandedוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Proclaimקַדְּשׁ֧וּka.de.ShuH6942a solemn assemblyעֲצָרָ֛ה'a.tza.RahH6116for Baalלַבַּ֖עַלla.Ba.'alH1168.”So they announced itוַיִּקְרָֽאוּ׃vai.yik.Ra.'uH7121.

21Then Jehuיֵהוּא֙ye.Hu'H3058sent wordוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971throughoutבְּכָל־be.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the servantsעֹבְדֵ֣י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935;there was notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808a manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376נִשְׁאַ֥רnish.'ArH7604whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834failedלֹֽא־lo'-H3808to showבָ֑אVa'H935.They enteredוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935the templeבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,and itבֵית־ הַבַּ֖עַלveit- ha.Ba.'alH1004 H1168was filledוַיִּמָּלֵ֥אvai.yi.ma.Le'H4390from endפֶּ֥הpehH6310to endלָפֶֽה׃la.PehH6310.

22And Jehu saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the keeperלַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־la.'a.Sher 'al-H834 H5921of the wardrobeהַמֶּלְתָּחָ֔הha.mel.ta.ChahH4458, “Bring outהוֹצֵ֣אho.Tze'H3318garmentsלְב֔וּשׁle.VushH3830for allלְכֹ֖לle.KholH3605the servantsעֹבְדֵ֣י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168.”So he brought outוַיֹּצֵ֥אvai.yo.Tze'H3318garmentsהַמַּלְבּֽוּשׁ׃ha.mal.BushH4403for them.

23Next, Jehuיֵה֛וּאye.Hu'H3058and Jehonadabוִיהוֹנָדָ֥בvi.ho.na.DavH3082sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֖בre.KhavH7394enteredוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935the templeבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,and Jehu saidוַיֹּ֜אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the servantsלְעֹבְדֵ֣יle.'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֗עַלha.Ba.'alH1168, “Look aroundחַפְּשׂ֤וּcha.pe.SuH2664to seeוּרְאוּ֙u.re.'UH7200that there areיֶשׁ־yesh-H3426noפֶּן־pen-H6435servantsמֵעַבְדֵ֣יme.'av.DeiH5650of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068hereפֹּ֤הpohH6311among youעִמָּכֶם֙'i.ma.KhemH5973—onlyכִּ֛י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518servantsעֹבְדֵ֥י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֖עַל לְבַדָּֽם׃ha.Ba.'al le.va.DamH1168 H905.”

24And they went inוַיָּבֹ֕אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to offerלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213sacrificesזְבָחִ֣יםze.va.ChimH2077and burnt offeringsוְעֹל֑וֹתve.'o.LotH5930.Now Jehuוְיֵה֞וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058had stationedשָׂם־som-H7760eightyשְׁמֹנִ֣יםshe.mo.NimH8084menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376outsideבַחוּץ֙va.ChutzH2351and warned themוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “If anyoneהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834allows one ofמִן־min-H4480the menהָאֲנָשִׁ֗יםha.'a.na.ShimH582אֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834Iאֲנִי֙'a.NiH589am deliveringמֵבִ֣יאme.Vi'H935intoעַל־'al-H5921your handsיְדֵיכֶ֔םye.dei.KhemH3027to escapeיִמָּלֵט֙yi.ma.LetH4422,he will forfeit his lifeנַפְשׁ֖וֹnaf.ShoH5315forתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478theirsנַפְשֽׁוֹ׃naf.ShoH5315.”

25וַיְהִ֞יvay.HiH1961When he had finishedכְּכַלֹּת֣וֹ׀ke.kha.lo.ToH3615makingלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213the burnt offeringהָעֹלָ֗הha.'o.LahH5930,Jehuיֵ֠הוּאYe.hu'H3058saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the guardsלָרָצִ֨יםla.ra.TzimH7323and officersוְלַשָּׁלִשִׁ֜יםve.la.sha.li.ShimH7991, “Go inבֹּ֤אוּBo.'uH935and kill themהַכּוּם֙ha.KumH5221.Do notאַל־'al-H408let anyoneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376outיֵצֵ֔אye.Tze'H3318.”So the guardsהָֽרָצִים֙ha.ra.TzimH7323and officersוְהַשָּׁ֣לִשִׁ֔יםve.ha.Sha.li.ShimH7991put themוַיַּכּ֖וּםvai.ya.KumH5221to the swordלְפִי־ חָ֑רֶבle.fi- Cha.revH6310 H2719,threw the bodies outוַיַּשְׁלִ֗כוּvai.yash.Li.khuH7993,and wentוַיֵּלְכ֖וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980intoעַד־'ad-H5704the inner roomעִ֥יר'irH5892of the templeבֵּית־beit-H1004of Baalהַבָּֽעַל׃ha.Ba.'alH1168.

26They brought outוַיֹּצִ֛אוּvai.yo.Tzi.'uH3318אֶת־'et-H853the sacred pillarמַצְּב֥וֹתma.tze.VotH4676of the templeבֵּית־beit-H1004of Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168and burned itוַֽיִּשְׂרְפֽוּהָ׃Vai.yis.re.Fu.haH8313.

27They also demolishedוַֽיִּתְּצ֔וּvai.yi.te.TzuH5422אֵ֖ת'etH853the sacred pillarמַצְּבַ֣תma.tze.VatH4676of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168.Then they tore downוַֽיִּתְּצוּ֙vai.yi.te.TzuH5422אֶת־'et-H853the templeבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168and madeוַיְשִׂמֻ֥הוּvay.si.Mu.huH7760it into a latrineH4280,which it is toעַד־'ad-H5704this dayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117.

28Thus Jehuיֵה֛וּאye.Hu'H3058אֶת־'et-H853eradicatedוַיַּשְׁמֵ֥דvai.yash.MedH8045Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168from Israelמִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃mi.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,
