1 Kings 15:1-8
1Now in the eighteenth yearH8141 of kingH4428 JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028 began AbijamH38 to reignH4427 over JudahH3063. 2ThreeH7969 yearsH8141 reignedH4427 he in JerusalemH3389: and his mother’sH517 nameH8034 was MaacahH4601 the daughterH1323 of AbishalomH53. 3And he walked in all the sinsH2403 of his fatherH1, which he had done before him; and his heartH3824 wasH1961 not perfectH8003 with Jehovah his GodH430, as the heartH3824 of DavidH1732 his fatherH1. 4Nevertheless for David’s sakeH4616 did Jehovah his GodH430 giveH5414 him a lampH5216 in JerusalemH3389, to setH5414 up his sonH1121 after him, and to establishH6965 JerusalemH3389; 5because DavidH1732 did that which was rightH3477 in the eyesH5869 of Jehovah, and turnedH5493 not asideH5493 from anything that he commandedH6680 him all the daysH3117 of his life, save onlyH7535 in the matterH1697 of UriahH223 the HittiteH2850. 6Now there wasH1961 warH4421 between RehoboamH7346 and JeroboamH3379 all the daysH3117 of his life.
7And the restH3499 of the acts of AbijamH38, and all that he did, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chronicles of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? And there wasH1961 warH4421 between AbijamH38 and JeroboamH3379. 8And AbijamH38 slept with his fathersH1; and they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and AsaH609 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.
