3And so it was, whenIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478hadsownזָרַ֣עza.Ra'H2232, that theMidianitesמִדְיָ֧ןmid.YanH4080cameupוְעָלָ֨הve.'a.LahH5927, and theAmalekitesוַֽעֲמָלֵ֛קva.'a.ma.LekH6002, and thechildrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of theeastקֶ֖דֶםKe.demH6924, even they cameupוְעָל֥וּve.'a.LuH5927against them;

5For they cameupיַעֲל֜וּya.'a.LuH5927with theircattleוּמִקְנֵיהֶ֨םu.mik.nei.HemH4735and theirtentsוְאָהֳלֵיהֶ֗םve.'o.ho.lei.HemH168, and theycameוּבָ֤אוּvu.ba'uH935asכְדֵֽי־khe.dei-H1767grasshoppersאַרְבֶּה֙'ar.BehH697formultitudeלָרֹ֔בla.RoH7230; for both they and theircamelsוְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶ֖םve.lig.ma.lei.HemH1581were withoutnumberמִסְפָּ֑רmis.ParH4557: and theyenteredוַיָּבֹ֥אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935into thelandבָאָ֖רֶץva.'A.retzH776todestroyלְשַׁחֲתָֽהּ׃le.sha.cha.TahH7843it.

6AndIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478wasgreatlyמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966impoverishedוַיִּדַּ֧לvai.yi.DalH1809becauseמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH6440of theMidianitesמִדְיָ֑ןmid.YanH4080; and thechildrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478criedוַיִּזְעֲק֥וּvai.yiz.'a.KuH2199to theLORDיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.
