2And hesentוַיִּשְׁלַ֧חvai.yish.LachH7971messengersמַלְאָכִ֛יםmal.'a.KhimH4397toAhabאַחְאָ֥ב'ach.'AvH256kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478into thecityהָעִֽירָה׃ha.'I.rahH5892, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, Thussaithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559BenhadadH1130,

3Thysilverכַּסְפְּךָ֥kas.pe.KhaH3701and thygoldוּֽזְהָבְךָ֖u.ze.ha.ve.KhaH2091is mine; thywivesוְנָשֶׁ֧יךָve.na.Shei.khaH802also and thychildrenוּבָנֶ֛יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121, even the mostcomelyהַטּוֹבִ֖יםha.to.VimH2896, are mine.

4And thekingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478answeredוַיַּ֤עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030andsaidוַיֹּ֔אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Mylordאֲדֹנִ֣י'a.do.NiH113, Okingהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, according to thysayingכִּדְבָרְךָ֖kid.va.re.KhaH1697, I am thine, and all that I have.

5And themessengersהַמַּלְאָכִ֔יםha.mal.'a.KhimH4397cameagainוַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙vai.ya.Shu.vuH7725, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, Thusspeakethאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559BenhadadH1130,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, Although I havesentשָׁלַ֤חְתִּיsha.Lach.tiH7971to thee,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, Thou shaltdeliverתִתֵּֽן׃ti.TenH5414to me thysilverכַּסְפְּךָ֧kas.pe.KhaH3701, and thygoldוּזְהָבְךָ֛u.ze.ha.ve.KhaH2091, and thywivesוְנָשֶׁ֥יךָve.na.Shei.khaH802, and thychildrenוּבָנֶ֖יךָu.va.Nei.khaH1121;

6Yet I willsendאֶשְׁלַ֤ח'esh.LachH7971myservantsעֲבָדַי֙'a.va.DaiH5650to thee tomorrowמָחָ֗רma.CharH4279about thistimeכָּעֵ֣תka.'EtH6256, and they shallsearchוְחִפְּשׂוּ֙ve.chi.pe.SuH2664thyhouseבֵּ֣יתְךָ֔bei.te.khaH1004, and thehousesבָּתֵּ֣יba.TeiH1004of thyservantsעֲבָדֶ֑יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650; and it shallbeוְהָיָה֙ve.ha.YahH1961, that whatever ispleasantמַחְמַ֣דmach.MadH4261in thyeyesעֵינֶ֔יךָ'ei.Nei.khaH5869, they shalltakeיָשִׂ֥ימוּya.Si.muH7760it in theirhandבְיָדָ֖םve.ya.DamH3027, and carry itawayוְלָקָֽחוּ׃ve.la.Ka.chuH3947.

7Then thekingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478calledוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121all theeldersזִקְנֵ֣יzik.NeiH2205of thelandהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776, andsaidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,Markדְּעֽוּ־de.'u-H3045, I pray you, andseeוּרְא֔וּu.re.'UH7200how this manseekethמְבַקֵּ֑שׁme.va.KeshH1245mischiefרָעָ֖הra.'AhH7451: for hesentשָׁלַ֨חsha.LachH7971to me for mywivesלְנָשַׁ֤יle.na.ShaiH802, and for mychildrenוּלְבָנַי֙u.le.va.NaiH1121, and for mysilverוּלְכַסְפִּ֣יu.le.khas.PiH3701, and for mygoldוְלִזְהָבִ֔יve.liz.ha.ViH2091; and Ideniedמָנַ֖עְתִּיma.Na'.tiH4513him not.

8And all theeldersהַזְּקֵנִ֖יםha.ze.ke.NimH2205and all thepeopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּאמְר֥וּvai.yo.me.RuH559to him,Hearkenתִּשְׁמַ֖עtish.Ma'H8085not to him, norconsentתֹאבֶֽה׃to.VehH14.

12And it came to pass, when Benhadadheardכִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙kish.Mo.a'H8085thismessageהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697, as he wasdrinkingשֹׁתֶ֛הsho.TehH8354, he and thekingsוְהַמְּלָכִ֖יםve.ha.me.la.KhimH4428in thepavilionsבַּסֻּכּ֑וֹתba.su.KotH5521, that hesaidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to hisservantsעֲבָדָיו֙'a.va.DavH5650,Setשִׂ֔ימוּSi.muH7760yourselves in array .
