9And thechildrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121ofAmmonעַמּ֔וֹןa.MonH5983cameoutוַיֵּצְאוּ֙vai.ye.tze.'UH3318, and put thebattleמִלְחָמָ֖הmil.cha.MahH4421inarrayוַיַּֽעַרְכ֥וּvai.ya.'ar.KhuH6186before thegateפֶּ֣תַחPe.tachH6607of thecityהָעִ֑ירha.'IrH5892: and thekingsוְהַמְּלָכִ֣יםve.ha.me.la.KhimH4428that hadcomeבָּ֔אוּBa.'uH935were by themselves in thefieldבַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃ba.sa.DehH7704.

10Now whenJoabיוֹאָ֗בyo.'AvH3097sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200that thebattleהַמִּלְחָמָ֛הha.mil.cha.MahH4421was set against himbeforeH6440andbehindוְאָח֑וֹרve.'a.ChorH268, he chosefromוַיִּבְחַ֗רvai.yiv.CharH977all thebestבָּחוּר֙ba.ChurH977ofIsraelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478, and put them inarrayוַֽיַּעֲרֹ֖ךְvai.ya.'a.RokhH6186againstH7125theSyriansאֲרָֽם׃'a.RamH758.

12And hesaidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, If theSyriansאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758shall be toostrongתֶּחֱזַ֤קte.che.ZakH2388for me, then thou shalthelpלִתְשׁוּעָ֑ה סlit.shu.'AhH8668me: but if thechildrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121ofAmmonעַמּ֛וֹןa.MonH5983shall be toostrongיֶֽחֶזְק֥וּye.chez.KuH2388for thee, then I willhelpוְהוֹשַׁעְתִּֽיךָ׃ve.ho.sha'.Ti.khaH3467thee.
