23And theservantsוְעַבְדֵ֨יve.'av.DeiH5650of thekingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428ofSyriaאֲרָ֜ם'a.RamH758saidאָמְר֣וּ'a.me.RuH559unto him, Theirgodאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430is agodאֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.HemH430of thehillsהָרִים֙ha.RimH2022; therefore they werestrongerחָזְק֣וּcha.ze.KuH2388thanH4480weH518: butletלֹ֥אlo'H3808usאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413fightנִלָּחֵ֤םni.la.ChemH3898againstעַל־'al-H5921them in theplainבַּמִּישׁ֔וֹרba.mi.ShorH4334, andsurelyH518weH518shall bestrongerנֶחֱזַ֖קne.che.ZakH2388thanH4480they.
25andnumberתִֽמְנֶה־tim.neh-H4487thee anarmyחַ֡יִלCha.yilH2428, like thearmyכַּחַיִל֩ka.cha.YilH2428that thou hastlostהַנֹּפֵ֨לha.no.FelH5307,horseוְס֣וּסve.SusH5483forhorseכַּסּ֣וּס׀ka.SusH5483, andchariotוְרֶ֣כֶבve.Re.khevH7393forchariotכָּרֶ֗כֶבka.Re.khevH7393: andweH518willfightוְנִֽלָּחֲמָ֤הve.ni.la.cha.MahH3898againstH3898them in theplainבַּמִּישׁ֔וֹרba.mi.ShorH4334, andsurelyH518weH518shall bestrongerנֶחֱזַ֖קne.che.ZakH2388thanלֹ֥אlo'H3808they. And he hearkened unto theirvoiceלְקֹלָ֖םle.ko.LamH6963, anddidוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213soכֵּֽן׃ פKenH3651.
26And itcameH1961topassH1961at thereturnלִתְשׁוּבַ֣תlit.shu.VatH8666of theyearהַשָּׁנָ֔הha.sha.NahH8141, thatBen-hadadH1130musteredוַיִּפְקֹ֥דvai.yif.KodH6485the Syrians, andwentH5927upH5927toAphekאֲפֵ֔קָה'a.Fe.kahH663, tofightלַמִּלְחָמָ֖הla.mil.cha.MahH4421againstעִם־'im-H5973Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
27And thechildrenוּבְנֵ֣יu.ve.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478weremusteredהָתְפָּקְדוּ֙ha.te.pa.ke.DuH6485, and were victualled, andwentH7125againstH7125them: and thechildrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֜לYis.ra.'ElH3478encampedוַיַּחֲנ֨וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583beforeנֶגְדָּ֗םneg.DamH5048them liketwoכִּשְׁנֵי֙kish.NeiH8147littleH2835flocksH2835of kids; but the Syriansfilledמִלְא֥וּmil.'UH4390thecountryהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.
28And amanאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376ofGodהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430cameH5066nearH5066and spake unto thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֒Yis.ra.'ElH3478, andsaidH559,Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saith theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588the Syrians havesaidH559, TheLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068is agodאֱלֹהֵ֤י'e.lo.HeiH430of thehillsהָרִים֙ha.RimH2022, but he isnotוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808agodאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of thevalleysעֲמָקִ֖ים'a.ma.KimH6010; therefore will Ideliverוְ֠נָתַתִּיVe.na.ta.tiH5414allכָּל־kol-H3605thisgreatהַגָּ֤דוֹלha.Ga.dolH1419multitudeהֶהָמ֨וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995intoאֶל־'el-H413thinehandבְּיָדֶ֔ךָbe.ya.De.khaH3027, and ye shallknowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I am theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
29And theyencampedוַֽיַּחֲנ֧וּvai.ya.cha.NuH2583one overagainstH4421theotherאֶחָֽד׃'e.ChadH259sevenשִׁבְעַ֣תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֑יםya.MimH3117. Andsoוַיְהִ֣י׀vay.HiH1961it was, that in theseventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֗יha.she.vi.'IH7637dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117thebattleהַמִּלְחָמָ֔הha.mil.cha.MahH4421wasjoinedוַתִּקְרַב֙va.tik.RavH7126; and thechildrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֧לYis.ra.'ElH3478slewוַיַּכּ֨וּvai.ya.KuH5221of the Syrians anhundredמֵאָה־me.'ah-H3967thousandאֶ֥לֶף'E.lefH505footmenרַגְלִ֖יrag.LiH7273in onedayבְּי֥וֹםbe.YomH3117.
30But therestהַנּוֹתָרִ֥ים׀ha.no.ta.RimH3498fledוַיָּנֻ֨סוּvai.ya.Nu.suH5127toAphekאֲפֵקָה֮'a.fe.KahH663,intoH413thecityהָעִיר֒ha.'IrH5892; and thewallהַחוֹמָ֔הha.cho.MahH2346fellוַתִּפֹּל֙va.ti.PolH5307uponעַל־'al-H5921twentyעֶשְׂרִ֨ים'es.RimH6242andsevenוְשִׁבְעָ֥הve.shiv.'AhH7651thousandאֶ֛לֶף'E.lefH505menאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376that wereleftהַנּוֹתָרִ֑יםha.no.ta.RimH3498. 31And hisservantsעֲבָדָיו֒'a.va.DavH5650saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto him,Beholdהִנֵּֽה־hi.neh-H2009nowH4994,weכִּ֗יKiH3588haveheardשָׁמַ֔עְנוּsha.Ma'.nuH8085that thekingsמַלְכֵי֙mal.KheiH4428of thehouseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478are mercifulkingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428:letH4994usH4994,weכִּֽי־ki-H3588prayH4994thee,putנָשִׂ֣ימָהna.Si.mahH7760sackclothשַׂקִּ֨יםsa.KimH8242on ourloinsבְּמָתְנֵ֜ינוּbe.ma.te.Nei.nuH4975, andropesוַחֲבָלִ֣יםva.cha.va.LimH2256uponH413ourheadsבְּרֹאשֵׁ֗נוּbe.ro.She.nuH7218, andgoוְנֵצֵא֙ve.ne.Tze'H3318outH3318to thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478: peradventure he willsaveH5315thylifeנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃naf.She.khaH5315.
32SoH935theygirdedוַיַּחְגְּרוּ֩vai.yach.ge.RuH2296sackclothשַׂקִּ֨יםsa.KimH8242on theirloinsבְּמָתְנֵיהֶ֜םbe.ma.te.nei.HemH4975, andputH935ropesוַחֲבָלִ֣יםva.cha.va.LimH2256on theirheadsבְּרָאשֵׁיהֶ֗םbe.ra.shei.HemH7218, andcameH935to thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, andsaidH559, Thyservantעַבְדְּךָ֧'av.de.KhaH5650Ben-hadadH1130saith, IprayH4994thee,letH4994meאֶל־'el-H413liveתְּחִֽי־te.chi-H2421. And hesaidH559, Is he yetaliveחַ֖יchaiH2416? he is mybrotherאָחִ֥י'a.ChiH251.
33NowH935themenH376observed diligently, and hasted to catchwhetherהֲמִמֶּ֗נּוּha.mi.Me.nuH4480it were his mind; and theysaidוַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559, Thybrotherאָחִ֣יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251Ben-hadadH1130. Then hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,GoH3318ye,bringH935him. ThenBen-hadadH1130cameH935forthH3318to him; and he caused him tocomeH935upוַֽיַּעֲלֵ֖הוּvai.ya.'a.Le.huH5927intoאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413thechariotהַמֶּרְכָּבָֽה׃ha.mer.ka.VahH4818.
34And Ben-hadadsaidH559unto him, Thecitiesהֶעָרִ֣יםhe.'a.RimH5892whichH834myfatherאָבִי֩'a.ViH1tookH3947from thyfatherאָבִ֜יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1I willrestoreאָשִׁ֗יב'a.ShivH7725; and thou shaltmakeH7760streetsוְ֠חוּצוֹתVe.chu.tzotH2351for thee inDamascusבְדַמֶּ֙שֶׂק֙ve.da.Me.sekH1834, as myfatherאָבִי֙'a.ViH1madeH3772inSamariaבְּשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹןbe.Sho.me.RonH8111.
