Genesis 38:8-10
8Then JudahH3063 saidH559 to OnanH209, “1HaveH935 relationsH935 withH935 your brother’sH251 wifeH802 and performH2992 your dutyH2992 asH2992 aH2992 brother-in-lawH2992 to her, and raiseH6965 upH6965 a 2childH2233 for your brotherH251.”
9Now OnanH209 knewH3045 that the 34childH2233 would not be his; so whenH518 he hadH935 relationsH935 withH935 his brother’sH251 wifeH802, he 5wastedH7843 his seed on the groundH776 soH1115 thatH1115 he would notH1115 giveH5414 6a childH2233 to his brotherH251.
10But whatH834 he didH6213 was displeasingH7489 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068; so He 7tookH4191 his lifeH4191 alsoH1571.
