Genesis 30:1-25
1Now when RachelH7354 sawH7200 that 1she had not borneH3205 JacobH3290 any childrenH3205, 2she becameH7065 jealousH7065 of her sisterH269; and she saidH559 to JacobH3290, “3GiveH3051 me childrenH1121, or elseH518H369 I am going to dieH4191.” 2Then Jacob’sH3290 angerH639 burnedH2734 against RachelH7354, and he saidH559, “Am I inH8478 the placeH8478 ofH8478 GodH430, whoH834 has 4withheldH4513 from you the fruitH6529 of the wombH990?” 3Then she saidH559, “5HereH2009 is my femaleH519 slaveH519 BilhahH1090: haveH935 relationsH935 withH935 her that she may 6giveH3205 birthH3205 7on my kneesH1290, so that 89by her I tooH1571 may obtainH1129 a childH1129.” 4So 10she gaveH5414 him her slaveH8198 BilhahH1090 as a wifeH802, and JacobH3290 hadH935 relationsH935 withH935 her. 5BilhahH1090 conceivedH2029 and boreH3205 JacobH3290 a sonH1121. 6Then RachelH7354 saidH559, “GodH430 has 1112vindicatedH1777 me, and has indeedH1571 heardH8085 my voiceH6963 and has givenH5414 me a sonH1121.” ThereforeH5921H3651 she namedH7121 him 13DanH1835. 7And Rachel’sH7354 slaveH8198 BilhahH1090 conceivedH2029 againH5750 and boreH3205 JacobH3290 a secondH8145 sonH1121. 8So RachelH7354 saidH559, “With 14mightyH430 wrestlingH5319 I have 15wrestledH6617 with my sisterH269, and I have indeedH1571 prevailedH3201.” And she namedH7121 him NaphtaliH5321.
9When LeahH3812 sawH7200 that she had stoppedH5975 havingH3205 childrenH3205, she tookH3947 her slaveH8198 ZilpahH2153 and gaveH5414 her to JacobH3290 as a wifeH802. 10And Leah’sH3812 slaveH8198 ZilpahH2153 boreH3205 JacobH3290 a sonH1121. 11Then LeahH3812 saidH559, “16How fortunateH1409!” So she namedH7121 him 17GadH1410. 12And Leah’sH3812 slaveH8198 ZilpahH2153 boreH3205 JacobH3290 a secondH8145 sonH1121. 13Then LeahH3812 saidH559, “18HappyH837 am I! For womenH1323 19will callH7121 me happyH833.” So she namedH7121 him 20AsherH836.
14Now in the daysH3117 of wheatH2406 harvestH7105 ReubenH7205 wentH1980 and foundH4672 21mandrakeH1736 fruitsH1736 in the fieldH7704, and broughtH935 them to his motherH517 LeahH3812. Then RachelH7354 saidH559 to LeahH3812, “PleaseH4994 giveH5414 me someH4480 of your son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736.” 15But she saidH559 to her, “Is it a smallH4592 matterH4592 for you to takeH3947 my husbandH376? And would you takeH3947 my son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736 alsoH1571?” So RachelH7354 saidH559, “ThereforeH3651 he may sleepH7901 with you tonightH3915 inH8478 returnH8478 forH8478 your son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736.” 16When JacobH3290 cameH935 inH935 from the fieldH7704 in the eveningH6153, LeahH3812 wentH3318 outH3318 to meetH7122 him and saidH559, “You must haveH935 relationsH935 withH935 me, for I have indeedH7936 hiredH7936 you with my son’sH1121 mandrakesH1736.” So he sleptH7901 with her that nightH3915. 17GodH430 listenedH8085 to LeahH3812, and she conceivedH2029 and boreH3205 JacobH3290 a fifthH2549 sonH1121. 18Then LeahH3812 saidH559, “GodH430 has givenH5414 me my 22rewardH7939, becauseH834 I gaveH5414 my slaveH8198 to my husbandH376.” So she namedH7121 him IssacharH3485. 19And LeahH3812 conceivedH2029 againH5750 and boreH3205 a sixthH8345 sonH1121 to JacobH3290. 20Then LeahH3812 saidH559, “GodH430 has endowedH2064 me with a goodH2896 giftH2065; finallyH6471 my husbandH376 23will acknowledgeH2082 me as his wife, becauseH3588 I have borneH3205 him sixH8337 sonsH1121.” So she namedH7121 him ZebulunH2074. 21AfterwardH310 she gaveH3205 birthH3205 to a daughterH1323, and namedH7121H8034 her DinahH1783.
22Then 24GodH430 rememberedH2142 RachelH7354, and GodH430 listenedH8085 to her and 25openedH6605 her wombH7358. 23So she conceivedH2029 and gaveH3205 birthH3205 to a sonH1121, and saidH559, “GodH430 has 26takenH622 awayH622 my disgraceH2781.” 24And she namedH7121H8034 him JosephH3130, sayingH559, “27May the LordH3068 28giveH3254 me anotherH312 sonH1121.”
25Now it cameH1961 aboutH1961, whenH3512 RachelH7354 had givenH3205 birthH3205 to JosephH3130, that JacobH3290 saidH559 to LabanH3837, “29SendH7971 me awayH7971, so that I may goH1980 to my own placeH4725 and to my own countryH776.
