Genesis 27:26-40
26Then his fatherH1 IsaacH3327 saidH559 to him, “PleaseH4994 comeH5066 closeH5066 and kissH5401 me, my sonH1121.” 27So he cameH5066 closeH5066 and kissedH5401 him; and when he smelledH7381 the smellH7381 of his garmentsH899, he 1blessedH1288 him and saidH559, “SeeH7200, 2the smellH7381 of my sonH1121 Is like the smellH7381 of a fieldH7704 3whichH834 the LordH3068 has blessedH1288;28Now may 4GodH430 giveH5414 you of the dewH2919 of heavenH8064, And of the 5fatnessH8082 of the earthH776, And an abundanceH7230 of grainH1715 and newH8492 wineH8492;296May peoplesH5971 serveH5647 you, And nationsH3816 bowH2331 downH2331 to you; 7Be masterH1376 of your brothersH251, 8And may your mother’sH517 sonsH1121 bowH2331 downH2331 to you. 9CursedH779 be those who curseH779 you, And blessedH1288 be those who blessH1288 you.”
30Now it cameH1961 aboutH1961, asH3512 soonH3512 asH3512 IsaacH3327 had finishedH3615 blessingH1288 JacobH3290, and JacobH3290 had hardlyH389H3318 goneH3318 outH3318 from the presenceH6440 of his fatherH1 IsaacH3327, that his brotherH251 EsauH6215 cameH935 inH935 from his huntingH6718. 31Then he alsoH1571 madeH6213 a deliciousH4303 mealH4303, and broughtH935 it to his fatherH1; and he saidH559 to his fatherH1, “10Let my fatherH1 ariseH6965 and eatH398 of his son’sH1121 gameH6718, that 1112you may blessH1288 me.” 32His fatherH1 IsaacH3327 saidH559 to him, “13WhoH4310 are you?” And he saidH559, “I am your sonH1121, 14your firstbornH1060, EsauH6215.” 33Then IsaacH3327 15trembledH2729 violentlyH2731H1419H5704H3966, and saidH559, “16WhoH4310 thenH645 was he who huntedH6679 gameH6718 and broughtH935 it to me, so that I ateH398 from allH3605 of it beforeH2962 you cameH935, and blessedH1288 him? 17YesH1571, and he shall be blessedH1288.” 34When EsauH6215 heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of his fatherH1, 18he criedH6817 outH6817 with an exceedinglyH3966 greatH1419 and bitterH4751 cryH6818, and saidH559 to his fatherH1, “BlessH1288 me, me asH1571 wellH1571, my fatherH1!” 35And he saidH559, “19Your brotherH251 cameH935 deceitfullyH4820 and has takenH3947 away your blessingH1293.” 36Then Esau saidH559, “20Is he not rightly namedH7121H8034 2122JacobH3290, for he has betrayedH6117 me theseH2088 twoH6471 timesH6471? He tookH3947 away my birthrightH1062, and beholdH2009, nowH6258 he has takenH3947 away my blessingH1293.” And he saidH559, “Have you not reservedH680 a blessingH1293 for me?” 37But IsaacH3327 repliedH6030 to EsauH6215, “BeholdH2005, I have madeH7760 him 23your masterH1376, and I have givenH5414 to him allH3605 his relativesH251 24as servantsH5650; and with grainH1715 and newH8492 wineH8492 I have sustainedH5564 him. WhatH4100 thenH645 can I doH6213 for you, my sonH1121?” 38EsauH6215 saidH559 to his fatherH1, “Do you have only oneH259 blessingH1293, my fatherH1? BlessH1288 me, me asH1571 wellH1571, my fatherH1.” So EsauH6215 raisedH5375 his voiceH6963 and 25weptH1058.
39Then 26his fatherH1 IsaacH3327 answeredH6030 and saidH559 to him, “BeholdH2009, 2728away from the 29fertilityH8082 of the earthH776 shall be your dwellingH4186, And 30away from the dewH2919 of heavenH8064 from aboveH5921.40And by your swordH2719 you shall liveH2421, And 31you shall serveH5647 your brotherH251; But it shall comeH1961 aboutH1961 32whenH3512 you becomeH7300 restlessH7300, That you will 33breakH6561 his yokeH5923 from your neckH6677.”
