2 Kings 8:17-22
17He was 1thirty-twoH7970H8147 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he becameH4427 kingH4427, and he reignedH4427 for eightH8083 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. 18He walkedH1980 in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, justH3512 asH3512 the houseH1004 of AhabH256 had doneH6213, for 2Ahab’sH256 daughterH1323 wasH1961 his wifeH802; and he didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LordH3068. 19However, the LordH3068 did not wantH14 to destroyH7843 JudahH3063, for the sakeH4616 of DavidH1732 His servantH5650, 3sinceH3512 He had 4promisedH559 him to giveH5414 him a 5lampH5215 through his sonsH1121 alwaysH3605H3117.
20In his daysH3117 6EdomH112 brokeH6586 awayH6586 from the 7ruleH3027 of JudahH3063, and appointedH4427 a kingH4428 overH5921 themselves. 21Then JoramH3141 crossedH5674 overH5674 to ZairH6811, and allH3605 his chariotsH7393 with him. And he gotH6965 upH6965 at nightH3915 and struckH5221 the EdomitesH112 who had surroundedH5437 him and the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393; 8but 9his armyH5971 fledH5127 to their tentsH168. 2210So EdomH112 has brokenH6586 awayH6586 fromH6586 11JudahH3063 to thisH2088 dayH3117. ThenH227 12LibnahH3841 brokeH6586 awayH6586 at the sameH1931 timeH6256.
