12Then he broughtH3318 the king’sH4428 sonH1121 outH3318, and 1putH5414 the crownH5145 on him and gave him 2the testimonyH5715; and they madeH4427 him kingH4427 and anointedH4886 him, and they clappedH5221 their handsH3709 and saidH559, “3Long liveH2421 the kingH4428!”

134When AthaliahH6271 heardH8085 the noiseH6963 of the guardsH7323 and of the peopleH5971, she cameH935 to the peopleH5971 at the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 14And she lookedH7200, and beholdH2009, the kingH4428 was standingH5975 5by the pillarH5982 according to the customH4941, with the captainsH8269 and the 6trumpetersH2689 besideH413 the kingH4428; and 7allH3605 the peopleH5971 of the landH776 were joyfulH8056 and were blowingH8628 trumpetsH2689. Then AthaliahH6271 8toreH7167 her clothesH899 and criedH7121 outH7121, “9ConspiracyH7195! ConspiracyH7195!” 15And JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commandedH6680 the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967 who were appointedH6485 over the armyH2428 and saidH559 to them, “BringH3318 her outH3318 betweenH413H4480H1004 the ranksH7713, and whoever followsH935H310 her, putH4191 toH4191 deathH4191 with the swordH2719!” For the priestH3548 saidH559, “She is not to be putH4191 toH4191 deathH4191 at the houseH1004 of the LordH3068.” 16So they 10seizedH7760H3027 her, and when 11they broughtH935 her to the horses’H5483 entranceH3996 of the king’sH4428 houseH1004, she was 12putH4191 toH4191 deathH4191 thereH8033.

17Then 13JehoiadaH3077 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 betweenH996 the LordH3068, the kingH4428, and the peopleH5971, that they would be the Lord’sH3068 peopleH5971, and 14betweenH996 the kingH4428 and the peopleH5971. 18And allH3605 the peopleH5971 of the landH776 cameH935 to 15the houseH1004 of BaalH1168 and toreH5422 it downH5422; they thoroughlyH3190 smashedH7665 16his altarsH4196 and his imagesH6754 inH7665 piecesH7665, and they 17killedH2026 MattanH4977 the priestH3548 of BaalH1168 beforeH6440 the altarsH4196. Then the priestH3548 appointedH7760 sentriesH6486 overH5921 the houseH1004 of the LordH3068. 19And he tookH3947 the captainsH8269 of hundredsH3967 and the 18CaritesH3746, and the 19guardsH7323 and allH3605 the peopleH5971 of the landH776; and they broughtH3381 the kingH4428 downH3381 from the houseH1004 of the LordH3068, and cameH935 by wayH1870 of 20the gateH8179 of the 21guardsH7323 to the king’sH4428 houseH1004. And he satH3427 on the throneH3678 of the kingsH4428. 20So 22allH3605 the peopleH5971 of the landH776 rejoicedH8055 and the cityH5892 wasH8252 23peacefulH8252. For they had putH4191 AthaliahH6271 toH4191 deathH4191 with the swordH2719 at the king’sH4428 houseH1004.
