1 Kings 17:9-16
9“AriseH6965, goH1980 to 1ZarephathH6886, whichH834 belongs to SidonH6721, and stayH3427 thereH8033; beholdH2009, 2I have commandedH6680 a widowH802H490 thereH8033 to provideH3557 foodH3557 for you.” 10So he aroseH6965 and wentH1980 to ZarephathH6886, and when he cameH935 to the entranceH6607 of the cityH5892, beholdH2009, a widowH802H490 was thereH8033 gatheringH7197 sticksH6086; and 3he calledH7121 to her and saidH559, “PleaseH4994 getH3947 me a littleH4592 waterH4325 in a 4cupH3627, so that I may drinkH8354.” 11As she was goingH1980 to getH3947 it, he calledH7121 to her and saidH559, “PleaseH4994 bringH3947 me a pieceH6595 of breadH3899 in your handH3027.” 12But she saidH559, “5As the LordH3068 your GodH430 livesH2416, 6I haveH3426 noH518 foodH4580, onlyH3588H518 a handfulH4393H3709 of flourH7058 in the 7bowlH3537 and a littleH4592 oilH8081 in the jarH6835; and beholdH2009, I am gatheringH7197 8a fewH8147 sticksH6086 so that I may goH935 inH935 and prepareH6213 it for me and my sonH1121, so that we may 9eatH398 it and 10dieH4191.” 13However, ElijahH452 saidH559 to her, “Do not fearH3372; goH935, doH6213 as you have saidH1697. JustH389 makeH6213 me a littleH6996 breadH5692 loafH5692 from 11it firstH7223 and bringH3318 it outH3318 to me, and afterwardH314 you may makeH6213 one for yourself and for your sonH1121. 14For thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 saysH559: ‘The 12bowlH3537 of flourH7058 shall not be usedH3615 upH3615, norH3808 shall the jarH6835 of oilH8081 becomeH2637 emptyH2637, untilH5704 the dayH3117 that the LordH3068 providesH5414 rainH1653 on the faceH6440 of the earthH127.’” 15So she wentH1980 and didH6213 everything in accordance with the wordH1697 of ElijahH452, and she and he and her householdH1004 ateH398 for many daysH3117. 16The 13bowlH3537 of flourH7058 was not usedH3615 upH3615, norH3808 did the jarH6835 of oilH8081 becomeH2637 emptyH2637, in accordance with the wordH1697 of the LordH3068 whichH834 He spokeH1696 throughH3027 ElijahH452.
