Romans 8:9-39
9However, you are not 1in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God 2dwells in you. But 3if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 104If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is 5alive because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who 6raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, 7He who raised 8Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies 9through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- 13for 10if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are 11putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For all who are 12being led by the Spirit of God, these are 13sons and daughters of God. 15For you 14have not received a spirit of slavery 15leading to fear again, but you 16have received 17a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “18Abba! 19Father!” 16The Spirit Himself 20testifies with our spirit that we are 21children of God, 17and if children, 22heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, 23if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time 24are not worthy to be compared with the 25glory that is to be revealed to us. 19For the 26eagerly awaiting creation waits for 27the revealing of the 28sons and daughters of God. 20For the creation 29was subjected to 30futility, not willingly, but 31because of Him who subjected it, 32in hope 21that 33the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation 34groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 2335And not only that, but also we ourselves, having 36the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves 37groan within ourselves, 38waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons and daughters, 39the redemption of our body. 24For 40in hope we have been saved, but 41hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25But 42if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
26Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for 43we do not know what to pray for as we should, but 44the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with 45groanings too deep for words; 27and 46He who searches the hearts knows what 47the mind of the Spirit is, because He 48intercedes for the 49saints according to the will of God.
28And we know that 50God 51causes 52all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are 53called according to His purpose. 29For those whom He 54foreknew, He also 55predestined to become 56conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the 57firstborn among many brothers and sisters; 30and these whom He 58predestined, He also 59called; and these whom He called, He also 60justified; and these whom He justified, He also 61glorified.
3162What then shall we say to these things? 63If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who 64did not spare His own Son, but 65delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33Who will bring charges against 66God’s elect? 67God is the one who justifies; 34who is the one who 68condemns? Christ Jesus is He who 69died, but rather, was 7071raised, who is 72at the right hand of God, who also 73intercedes for us. 35Who will separate us from 74the love of 75Christ? Will 76tribulation, or trouble, or 77persecution, or 78famine, or 79nakedness, or 80danger, or sword? 36Just as it is written: “81For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37But in all these things we overwhelmingly 82conquer through 83Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither 84death, nor life, nor 85angels, nor principalities, nor 86things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from 87the love of God that is 88in Christ Jesus our Lord.
