Romans 8:9-39
9However, you are not 1in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God 2dwells in you. But 3if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 104If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is 5alive because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who 6raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, 7He who raised 8Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies 9through His Spirit who dwells in you.
12So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- 13for 10if you are living according to the flesh, you 11must die; but if by the Spirit you are 12putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For all who are 13being led by the Spirit of God, these are 14sons of God. 15For you 15have not received a spirit of slavery 16leading to fear again, but you 17have received 18a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “19Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself 20testifies with our spirit that we are 21children of God, 17and if children, 22heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, 23if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time 24are not worthy to be compared with the 25glory that is to be revealed to us. 19For the 26anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for 27the revealing of the 28sons of God. 20For the creation 29was subjected to 30futility, not willingly, but 31because of Him who subjected it, 32in hope 21that 33the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation 34groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 2335And not only this, but also we ourselves, having 36the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves 37groan within ourselves, 38waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, 39the redemption of our body. 24For 40in hope we have been saved, but 41hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25But 42if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
26In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for 43we do not know how to pray as we should, but 44the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27and 45He who searches the hearts knows what 46the mind of the Spirit is, because He 47intercedes for the 48saints according to the will of God.
28And we know that 49God causes 50all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are 51called according to His purpose. 29For those whom He 52foreknew, He also 53predestined to become 54conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the 55firstborn among many brethren; 30and these whom He 56predestined, He also 57called; and these whom He called, He also 58justified; and these whom He justified, He also 59glorified.
3160What then shall we say to these things? 61If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who 62did not spare His own Son, but 63delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33Who will bring a charge against 64God’s elect? 65God is the one who justifies; 34who is the one who 66condemns? Christ Jesus is He who 67died, yes, rather who was 6869raised, who is 70at the right hand of God, who also 71intercedes for us. 35Who will separate us from 72the love of 73Christ? Will 74tribulation, or distress, or 75persecution, or 76famine, or 77nakedness, or 78peril, or sword? 36Just as it is written, “79For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37But in all these things we overwhelmingly 80conquer through 81Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither 82death, nor life, nor 83angels, nor principalities, nor 84things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from 85the love of God, which is 86in Christ Jesus our Lord.
