Romans 8:7-39

7because the mind 1set on the flesh is 2hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8and those who are 3in the flesh cannot please God.

9However, you are not 4in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God 5dwells in you. But 6if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 107If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is 8alive because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of Him who 9raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, 10He who raised 11Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies 12through His Spirit who dwells in you.

12So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- 13for 13if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are 14putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For all who are 15being led by the Spirit of God, these are 16sons and daughters of God. 15For you 17have not received a spirit of slavery 18leading to fear again, but you 19have received 20a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “21Abba! 22Father!” 16The Spirit Himself 23testifies with our spirit that we are 24children of God, 17and if children, 25heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, 26if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time 27are not worthy to be compared with the 28glory that is to be revealed to us. 19For the 29eagerly awaiting creation waits for 30the revealing of the 31sons and daughters of God. 20For the creation 32was subjected to 33futility, not willingly, but 34because of Him who subjected it, 35in hope 21that 36the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation 37groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 2338And not only that, but also we ourselves, having 39the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves 40groan within ourselves, 41waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons and daughters, 42the redemption of our body. 24For 43in hope we have been saved, but 44hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25But 45if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

26Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for 46we do not know what to pray for as we should, but 47the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with 48groanings too deep for words; 27and 49He who searches the hearts knows what 50the mind of the Spirit is, because He 51intercedes for the 52saints according to the will of God.

28And we know that 53God 54causes 55all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are 56called according to His purpose. 29For those whom He 57foreknew, He also 58predestined to become 59conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the 60firstborn among many brothers and sisters; 30and these whom He 61predestined, He also 62called; and these whom He called, He also 63justified; and these whom He justified, He also 64glorified.

3165What then shall we say to these things? 66If God is for us, who is against us? 32He who 67did not spare His own Son, but 68delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33Who will bring charges against 69God’s elect? 70God is the one who justifies; 34who is the one who 71condemns? Christ Jesus is He who 72died, but rather, was 7374raised, who is 75at the right hand of God, who also 76intercedes for us. 35Who will separate us from 77the love of 78Christ? Will 79tribulation, or trouble, or 80persecution, or 81famine, or 82nakedness, or 83danger, or sword? 36Just as it is written: “84For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37But in all these things we overwhelmingly 85conquer through 86Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither 87death, nor life, nor 88angels, nor principalities, nor 89things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from 90the love of God that is 91in Christ Jesus our Lord.
