Romans 7:1

1Or do you not know, 1brothers and sisters (for I am speaking to those who know the 2Law), that the 3Law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives?

Romans 7:1 in other versions

Context of Romans 7:1

Or do you not know, brothers and sisters (for I am speaking to those who know the Law), that the Law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives? 2For the married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he is alive; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband. 3So then, if while her husband is alive she gives herself to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress if she gives herself to another man.
