2So the cityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892was under siegeבַּמָּצ֑וֹרba.ma.TzorH4692untilעַ֚ד'adH5704the eleventhעַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה'ash.Tei 'es.RehH6249 H6240yearשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141of Kingלַמֶּ֖לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃tzid.ki.Ya.huH6667.

3On the ninthבְּתִשְׁעָ֣הbe.tish.'AhH8672day of the fourthmonthH2320the famineהָרָעָ֖בha.ra.'AvH7458was so severeוַיֶּחֱזַ֥קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388in the cityבָּעִ֑ירba.'IrH5892that there was noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808foodלֶ֖חֶםLe.chemH3899for the peopleלְעַ֥םle.'AmH5971of the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

4Then the cityהָעִ֗ירha.'IrH5892was brokenוַתִּבָּקַ֣עva.ti.ba.Ka'H1234into, and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the menH376of warהַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה׀ha.mil.cha.MahH4421fledby nightהַלַּ֙יְלָה֙ha.Lay.lahH3915by wayדֶּ֜רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the gateשַׁ֣עַר׀Sha.'arH8179betweenבֵּ֣יןbeinH996the two wallsהַחֹמֹתַ֗יִםha.cho.mo.Ta.yimH2346that were besideH5921the king’sהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428gardenגַּ֣ןganH1588,though the Chaldeansוְכַשְׂדִּ֥יםve.khas.DimH3778were allH5439aroundH5439the cityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892. Andthey wentוַיֵּ֖לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980by wayדֶּ֥רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of the Arabahהָעֲרָבָֽה׃ha.'a.ra.VahH6160.

5But the armyחֵיל־cheil-H2428of the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּים֙kas.DimH3778pursuedוַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּvai.yir.de.FuH7291the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428and overtookוַיַּשִּׂ֥גוּvai.ya.Si.guH5381him in the plainsבְּעַרְב֣וֹתbe.'ar.VotH6160of Jerichoיְרֵח֑וֹye.re.ChoH3405,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605his armyחֵיל֔וֹchei.LoH2428was scatteredנָפֹ֖צוּna.Fo.tzuH6327from him.

6Thenthey capturedוַֽיִּתְפְּשׂוּ֙vai.yit.pe.SuH8610the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428andbroughtH5927him upH5927to the kingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֖לba.VelH894atRiblahרִבְלָ֑תָהriv.La.tahH7247, and hepassedוַיְדַבְּר֥וּvay.da.be.RuH1696sentenceמִשְׁפָּֽט׃mish.PatH4941on him.

7Andthey slaughteredשָׁחֲט֖וּsha.cha.TuH7819the sonsבְּנֵי֙be.NeiH1121of Zedekiahצִדְקִיָּ֔הוּtzid.ki.Ya.huH6667before his eyesלְעֵינָ֑יוle.'ei.NavH5869, thenputH5786outH5786Zedekiah’sצִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙tzid.ki.Ya.huH6667eyesעֵינֵ֤י'ei.NeiH5869and boundוַיַּאַסְרֵ֙הוּ֙vai.ya.'as.Re.huH631him with bronzeבַֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִםvan.chush.Ta.yimH5178shacklesH5178,and broughtוַיְבִאֵ֖הוּvay.vi.'E.huH935him to Babylonבָּבֶֽל׃ סba.VelH894.

9Andhe burnedוַיִּשְׂרֹ֥ףvai.yis.RofH8313the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the king’sהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the housesבָּתֵּ֧יba.TeiH1004of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֛םye.ru.sha.LimH3389;even everyכָּל־kol-H3605greatגָּד֖וֹלga.DolH1419houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004he burnedשָׂרַ֥ףsa.RafH8313with fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.

10So allכָּל־kol-H3605the armyחֵ֣ילcheilH2428of the Chaldeansכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםkas.DimH3778whoאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834were withthe captainרַב־rav-H7227of the bodyguardsטַבָּחִֽים׃ta.ba.ChimH2876toreH5422downH5422the wallsחוֹמֹ֥תcho.MotH2346aroundסָבִ֑יבsa.VivH5439Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

11Then Nebuzaradanנְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֖ןne.vu.zar.'a.DanH5018,the captainרַב־rav-H7227of the bodyguardsטַבָּחִֽים׃ta.ba.ChimH2876,ledH1540intoH1540exileהֶגְלָ֕הheg.LahH1540the restיֶ֨תֶרYe.terH3499of the peopleהָעָ֜םha.'AmH5971who were leftהַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣יםha.nish.'a.RimH7604in the cityבָּעִ֗ירba.'IrH5892and the desertersהַנֹּֽפְלִים֙ha.no.fe.LimH5307whoאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834had desertedנָפְלוּ֙na.fe.LuH5307to the kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428of Babylonבָּבֶ֔לba.VelH894,and the restיֶ֣תֶרYe.terH3499of thepeopleH5971.

12But the captainרַב־rav-H7227of the bodyguardsטַבָּחִ֑יםta.ba.ChimH2876leftהִשְׁאִ֖ירhish.'IrH7604someH4480ofthe poorestוּמִדַּלַּ֣תu.mid.da.LatH1803of the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776to be vinedressersלְכֹֽרְמִ֖יםle.kho.re.MimH3755and farmersוּלְיֹגְבִֽים׃u.le.yo.ge.VimH3009.

13Now the Chaldeansכַשְׂדִּ֑יםkhas.DimH3778smashedH7665toH7665piecesH7665the bronzeהַנְּחֹ֜שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178pillarsעַמּוּדֵ֨י'a.mu.DeiH5982whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834were in the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,and the standsהַמְּכֹנ֞וֹתha.me.kho.NotH4350andthe bronzeהַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178Seaיָ֧םyamH3220whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834were in the houseבְּבֵית־be.veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,and carriedוַיִּשְׂא֥וּvai.yis.'UH5375thebronzeנְחֻשְׁתָּ֖םne.chush.TamH5178to Babylonבָּבֶֽלָה׃ba.Ve.lahH894.

14And they tookלָקָֽחוּ׃la.Ka.chuH3947away the potsהַסִּירֹ֨תha.si.RotH5518,the shovelsהַיָּעִ֜יםhai.ya.'ImH3257, theshearsהַֽמְזַמְּר֣וֹתham.za.me.RotH4212,the spoonsהַכַּפּ֗וֹתha.ka.PotH3709,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the bronzeהַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁתha.ne.Cho.shetH5178utensilsכְּלֵ֧יke.LeiH3627whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834were usedH8334in templeH8334serviceH8334.

15The captainרַב־rav-H7227of the bodyguardsטַבָּחִֽים׃ta.ba.ChimH2876also tookלָקַ֖חla.KachH3947away the firepansהַמַּחְתּוֹת֙ha.mach.tOtH4289and the basinsהַמִּזְרָק֗וֹתha.miz.ra.KotH4219,whatאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834was fineזָהָב֙za.HavH2091goldזָהָ֔בza.HavH2091and whatוַאֲשֶׁר־va.'a.Sher-H834was fineכֶּ֖סֶףKe.sefH3701silverכָּ֑סֶףKa.sefH3701.
