24The one belonging to Ahabלְאַחְאָב֙le.'ach.'AvH256,who diesהַמֵּ֤תha.MetH4191in the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892,the dogsהַכְּלָבִ֑יםha.ke.la.VimH3611will eatיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398;and the one who diesוְהַמֵּת֙ve.ha.MetH4191in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֔הba.sa.DehH7704,the birdsע֥וֹףofH5775of the skyהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064will eatיֹאכְל֖וּyo.khe.LuH398.”

25There certainlyH7534was noלֹֽא־lo'-H3808one like Ahabכְאַחְאָ֔בkhe.'ach.'AvH256whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834gaveH4376himself overH4376to doלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,becauseאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834Jezebelאִיזֶ֥בֶל'i.Ze.velH348his wifeאִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃'ish.ToH802incitedהֵסַ֥תָּהhe.Sa.tahH5496him.

27Yet it cameH1961aboutH1961,when Ahabאַחְאָ֜ב'ach.'AvH256heardכִשְׁמֹ֨עַkhish.Mo.a'H8085theseהָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֤יםha.de.va.RimH1697, thathe toreוַיִּקְרַ֣עvai.yik.Ra'H7167his clothesבְּגָדָ֔יוbe.ga.DavH899and putוַיָּֽשֶׂם־vai.ya.sem-H7760on sackclothשַׂ֥קsakH8242and fastedוַיָּצ֑וֹםvai.ya.TzomH6684,and he layוַיִּשְׁכַּ֣בvai.yish.KavH7901in sackclothבַּשָּׂ֔קba.SakH8242and wentH1980aboutH1980despondentlyאַֽט׃ ס'AtH328.

28Then the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַֽיְהִי֙vay.HiH1961to Elijahאֵלִיָּ֥הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452the Tishbiteהַתִּשְׁבִּ֖יha.tish.BiH8664,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,
