11Nowan oldזָקֵ֔ןza.KenH2205prophetוְנָבִ֤יאve.na.Vi'H5030was livingיֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427in BethelH1008; and hissonsבְנ֡וֹve.NoH1121cameוַיָּב֣וֹאvai.ya.Vo'H935and toldוַיְסַפֶּר־vay.sa.per-H5608him allכָּל־kol-H3605the deedsהַמַּעֲשֶׂ֣הha.ma.'a.SehH4639whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the manאִישׁ־'ish-H376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֨ים׀ha.'E.lo.HimH430had doneעָשָׂה֩'a.SahH6213that dayהַיּ֜וֹםhai.YomH3117in BethelH1008;the wordsהַדְּבָרִים֙ha.de.va.RimH1697whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he had spokenדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696to the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,these also they reportedוַֽיְסַפְּר֖וּםvay.sa.pe.RumH5608to their fatherלַאֲבִיהֶֽם׃la.'a.vi.HemH1.

12And their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֔ם'a.vi.HemH1saidוַיְדַבֵּ֤רvay.da.BerH1696to them, “Whichאֵֽי־ זֶ֥ה'ei- zehH335 H2088wayהַדֶּ֖רֶךְha.De.rekhH1870did he goהָלָ֑ךְha.LakhH1980?”Now his sonsבָנָ֗יוva.NavH1121had seenוַיִּרְא֣וּvai.yir.'UH7200the wayהַדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ha.De.rekhH1870that the manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430whoH834cameבָּ֖אba'H935from Judahמִיהוּדָֽה׃mi.hu.DahH3063had goneהָלַךְ֙ha.laKhH1980.

13Then he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to his sonsבָּנָ֔יוba.NavH1121, “Saddleחִבְשׁוּ־chiv.shu-H2280the donkeyהַחֲמ֑וֹרha.cha.MorH2543for me.” So they saddledוַיַּחְבְּשׁוּ־vai.yach.be.shu-H2280the donkeyהַחֲמ֔וֹרha.cha.MorH2543for him and he rodeוַיִּרְכַּ֖בvai.yir.KavH7392away on it.

14So he wentוַיֵּ֗לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980afterאַֽחֲרֵי֙'a.cha.ReiH310the manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430and foundוַיִּ֨מְצָאֵ֔הוּvai.Yim.tza.'E.huH4672him sittingיֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427underתַּ֣חַתTa.chatH8478an oakהָאֵלָ֑הha.'e.LahH424;and he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Are you the manאִישׁ־'ish-H376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834cameבָּ֥אתָBa.taH935from Judahמִֽיהוּדָ֖הmi.hu.DahH3063?”And he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I am.”

15Then he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Comeלֵ֥ךְlekhH1980homeהַבָּ֑יְתָהha.Ba.ye.tahH1004with me and eatוֶאֱכֹ֖לve.'e.KholH398breadלָֽחֶם׃La.chemH3899.”

16But he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I cannotלֹ֥א אוּכַ֛לlo' 'u.KhalH3201 H3808returnלָשׁ֥וּבla.ShuvH7725with you, norוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808comeוְלָב֣וֹאve.la.Vo'H935with you, norוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808will I eatאֹ֣כַל'O.khalH398breadלֶ֗חֶםLe.chemH3899or drinkאֶשְׁתֶּ֤ה'esh.TehH8354waterמַ֔יִםMa.yimH4325with you in thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088placeבַּמָּק֖וֹםba.ma.KomH4725.

17For acommandדָבָ֤רda.VarH1697came to meby the wordבִּדְבַ֣רbid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068: ‘You shall not eatתֹאכַ֣לto.KhalH398breadלֶ֔חֶםLe.chemH3899,norH3808drinkתִשְׁתֶּ֥הtish.TehH8354waterמָ֑יִםMa.yimH4325thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033;do not returnתָשׁ֣וּבta.ShuvH7725by goingלָלֶ֔כֶתla.Le.khetH1980the wayבַּדֶּ֖רֶךְba.De.rekhH1870that you cameהָלַ֥כְתָּha.Lakh.taH1980.’”

18Then he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “I tooגַּם־gam-H1571am a prophetנָבִיא֮na.Vi'H5030likeכָּמוֹךָ֒ka.mo.KhaH3644you, andan angelוּמַלְאָ֡ךְu.mal.'AkhH4397spokeדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696to me by the wordבִּדְבַ֨רbid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068,sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559, ‘Bringהֲשִׁבֵ֤הוּha.shi.Ve.huH7725him backH7725with you to your houseבֵּיתֶ֔ךָbei.Te.khaH1004,so that he may eatוְיֹ֥אכַלve.Yo.khalH398breadלֶ֖חֶםLe.chemH3899and drinkוְיֵ֣שְׁתְּve.Ye.shetH8354waterמָ֑יִםMa.yimH4325.’” Buthe liedכִּחֵ֖שׁki.CheshH3584to him.

19So he wentH7725backוַיָּ֣שָׁבvai.Ya.shovH7725with him, and ateוַיֹּ֥אכַלvai.Yo.khalH398breadלֶ֛חֶםLe.chemH3899in his houseבְּבֵית֖וֹbe.vei.ToH1004and drankוַיֵּ֥שְׁתְּvai.Ye.shetH8354waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325.

20Now it cameH1961aboutH1961,as they were sittingH3427downH3427at the tableהַשֻּׁלְחָ֑ן פha.shul.ChanH7979,that the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameH1961to the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834had broughtH7725him backהֱשִׁיבֽוֹ׃he.shi.VoH7725;

21and he criedH7121outH7121to the manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834cameבָּ֤אba'H935from Judahמִֽיהוּדָה֙mi.hu.DahH3063,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “ThisH3541isH3541whatH3541the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘Becauseיַ֗עַן כִּ֤יYa.'an kiH3282 H3588you havedisobeyedמָרִ֙יתָ֙ma.Ri.taH4784thecommandפִּ֣יpiH6310of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and have not keptשָׁמַ֙רְתָּ֙sha.Mar.taH8104the commandmentהַמִּצְוָ֔הha.mitz.VahH4687whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃'e.lo.Hei.khaH430commandedצִוְּךָ֖tzi.ve.KhaH6680you,

22but have returnedוַתָּ֗שָׁבva.Ta.shovH7725and eatenוַתֹּ֤אכַלva.To.khalH398breadלֶ֙חֶם֙le.chemH3899and drunkוַתֵּ֣שְׁתְּva.Te.shetH8354waterמַ֔יִםMa.yimH4325in the placeבַּמָּקוֹם֙ba.ma.kOmH4725of whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834He saidדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696to you, “You are not to eatתֹּ֥אכַלTo.khalH398breadלֶ֖חֶםLe.chemH3899norH408drinkתֵּ֣שְׁתְּTe.shetH8354waterמָ֑יִםMa.yimH4325”;your deadH5038bodyH5038will not comeתָב֥וֹאta.Vo'H935to the graveקֶ֥בֶרKe.verH6913of your fathersאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃'a.vo.Tei.khaH1.’”
