Isaiah 47:4-10
4Our 1Redeemer, the Lord of armies is His name, The Holy One of Israel.5“2Sit silently, and go into 3darkness, Daughter of the Chaldeans; For you will no longer be called The 4queen of 5kingdoms.6I was angry with My people, I profaned My heritage And handed them over to you. You did not show mercy to them, On the 6aged you made your yoke very heavy.7Yet you said, ‘I will be a 7queen forever.’ These things you did not 8consider Nor remember the 9outcome of 10them.
8“Now, then, hear this, you 11luxuriant one, Who 12lives securely, Who says in her heart, ‘13I am, and there is no one besides me. I will 14not sit as a widow, Nor know the loss of children.’9But these 15two things will come on you 16suddenly in one day: Loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in full measure In spite of your many 17sorceries, In spite of the great power of your spells.10You felt 18secure in your wickedness and said, ‘19No one sees me,’ Your 20wisdom and your knowledge, 21they have led you astray; For you have said in your heart, ‘22I am, and there is no one besides me.’
