Isaiah 47:4-10
4Our 1Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.5“2Sit silently, and go into 3darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans, For you will no longer be called The 4queen of 5kingdoms.6I was angry with My people, I profaned My heritage And gave them into your hand. You did not show mercy to them, On the 6aged you made your yoke very heavy.7Yet you said, ‘I will be a 7queen forever.’ These things you did not 8consider Nor remember the 9outcome of 10them.
8“Now, then, hear this, you 11sensual one, Who 12dwells securely, Who says in 13your heart, ‘14I am, and there is no one besides me. I will 15not sit as a widow, Nor know loss of children.’9But these 16two things will come on you 17suddenly in one day: Loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in full measure In spite of your many 18sorceries, In spite of the great power of your spells.10You felt 19secure in your wickedness and said, ‘20No one sees me,’ Your 21wisdom and your knowledge, 22they have deluded you; For you have said in your heart, ‘23I am, and there is no one besides me.’
