Isaiah 27:2-13
2On that day, “A 12vineyard of beauty, sing of it!3I, the Lord, am its keeper; 3I water it every moment. So that no one will 4damage it, I 5guard it night and day.4I have no wrath. Should 6someone give Me 7briars and thorns in battle, Then I would step on them, 8I would burn them 9completely.5Or let him 1011rely on My protection, Let him make peace with Me, Let him 12make peace with Me.”613In the days to come Jacob 14will take root, Israel will 15blossom and sprout, And they will fill the 16whole world with 17fruit.
7Like the striking of Him who has struck them, has 18He struck them? Or like the slaughter of His slain, 19have they been slain?8You contended with them 20by banishing them, by 21driving them away. With His fierce wind He has expelled them on the day of the 22east wind.9Therefore through this Jacob’s wrongdoing will be 23forgiven; And this will be 24the full price of the 2526pardoning of his sin: When he makes all the 27altar stones like pulverized chalk stones; When 28Asherim and incense altars will not stand.10For the fortified city is 29isolated, A 30homestead deserted and abandoned like the desert; 31There the calf will graze, And there it will lie down and 32feed on its branches.11When its 33limbs are dry, they are broken off; Women come and make a fire with them, For they are not a people of 34discernment, Therefore 35their Maker 36will not have compassion on them. And their Creator will not be gracious to them.
12On that day the Lord 37will thresh from the flowing stream of the 38Euphrates River to the brook of Egypt, and you will be 39gathered up one by one, you sons of Israel. 13It will come about also on that day that a great 40trumpet will be blown, and those who were perishing in the land of 41Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and 42worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
