Hebrews 3:6-19

6but Christ was faithful as 1a Son over His house--2whose house we are, 3if we hold firmly to our 4confidence and the boast of our 56hope.

7Therefore, just as 7the Holy Spirit says, “8Today if you hear His voice,89Do not harden your hearts as 10when they provoked Me, As on the day of trial in the wilderness,911Where your fathers put Me to the test, And saw My works for 12forty years.1013Therefore I was angry with this generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they did not know My ways’;1114As I swore in My anger, ‘They certainly shall not enter My rest.’” 1215Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart 16that falls away from 17the living God. 13But 18encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the 19deceitfulness of sin. 14For we have become partakers of Christ 20if we keep the beginning of our 2122commitment firm until the end, 15while it is said, “23Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as 24when they provoked Me.” 16For who 25provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, 26did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? 17And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, 27whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness? 18And to whom did He swear 28that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were 29disobedient? 19And so we see that they were not able to enter because of 30unbelief.
