2 Corinthians 4:5-10

5For we 1do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants 2on account of Jesus. 6For God, who said, “3Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has 4shone in our hearts to give the 5Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

7But we have this treasure in 67earthen containers, so that the extraordinary greatness of 8the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8we are 9afflicted in every way, but not 10crushed; 11perplexed, but not despairing; 912persecuted, but not 13abandoned; 14struck down, but not destroyed; 1015always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that 16the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
