2 Corinthians 4:5-10

5For we 1do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants 2for Jesus’ sake. 6For God, who said, “3Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has 4shone in our hearts to give the 5Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

7But we have this treasure in 6earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of 7the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8we are 8afflicted in every way, but not 9crushed; 10perplexed, but not despairing; 911persecuted, but not 12forsaken; 13struck down, but not destroyed; 1014always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that 15the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
