5“GoH1980 and sayH559 to My servantH5650 DavidH1732, ‘ThusH3541 saysH559 the LordH3068, “1Are you the one who should buildH1129 Me a houseH1004 to dwellH3427 in? 6For 2I have not dweltH3427 in a houseH1004 sinceH4480 the dayH3117 I broughtH5927 up the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 from EgyptH4714, even to thisH2088 dayH3117; but I have beenH1961 movingH1980 about 3in a tentH168, even in a 4tabernacleH4908. 75WhereverH3605H834 I have goneH1980 with allH3605 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, did I speakH1696 a wordH1697 with oneH259 of the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478, 6whichH834 I commandedH6680 to shepherdH7462 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘WhyH4100 have you not builtH1129 Me a houseH1004 of cedarH730?’”’ 8NowH6258 therefore, thusH3541 you shall sayH559 to My servantH5650 DavidH1732, ‘ThusH3541 saysH559 the LordH3068 of hostsH6635, “7I tookH3947 you from the pastureH5116, from followingH310 the sheepH6629, 8to be rulerH5057 overH5921 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478. 99I have beenH1961 with you whereverH3605H834 you have goneH1980 and 10have cutH3772 offH3772 allH3605 your enemiesH340 from beforeH6440 you; and I will makeH6213 you a greatH1419 nameH8034, like the namesH8034 of the greatH1419 menH1419 whoH834 are on the earthH776. 10I will also appointH7760 a placeH4725 for My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478 and 11will plantH5193 them, that they may liveH7931 in their own placeH8478 and not be disturbedH7264 againH5750, 12norH3808 will the 13wickedH5767H1121 afflictH6031 them anyH3254 moreH3254 as formerlyH7223, 11even 14from the dayH3117 that I commandedH6680 judgesH8199 to be overH5921 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478; and 15I will giveH5117 you restH5117 from allH3605 your enemiesH340. The LordH3068 also declaresH5046 to you that 16the LordH3068 will makeH6213 a houseH1004 for you. 1217WhenH3588 your daysH3117 are completeH4390 and you 18lieH7901 downH7901 with your fathersH1, 19I will raiseH6965 up your 20descendantH2233 afterH310 you, whoH834 will comeH3318 forthH3318 from 21you, and I will establishH3559 his kingdomH4467. 1322He shall buildH1129 a houseH1004 for My nameH8034, and 23I will establishH3559 the throneH3678 of his kingdomH4467 foreverH5704H5769. 1424I will be a fatherH1 to him and he will be a sonH1121 to Me; 25whenH834 he commitsH5753 iniquityH5753, I will correctH3198 him with the rodH7626 of menH376 and the strokesH5061 of the sonsH1121 of menH120, 15but My lovingkindnessH2617 shall not departH5493 from him, 26as I tookH5493 it awayH5493 from SaulH7586, whomH834 I removedH5493 from beforeH6440 you. 1627Your houseH1004 and your kingdomH4467 shall endureH539 beforeH6440 28Me foreverH5704H5769; your throneH3678 shall be establishedH3559 foreverH5704H5769.”’” 17In accordance with allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697 and allH3605 thisH2088 visionH2384, soH3651 NathanH5416 spokeH1696 to DavidH1732.

18Then DavidH1732 the kingH4428 wentH935 in and satH3427 beforeH6440 the LordH3068, and he saidH559, “29WhoH4310 am I, O LordH136 30GodH3068, and whatH4310 is my houseH1004, that You have broughtH935 me thisH1988 farH1988? 19And yetH5750 thisH2088 was insignificantH6994 in Your eyesH5869, O LordH136 GodH3068, 31for You have spokenH1696 alsoH1571 of the houseH1004 of Your servantH5650 concerning the distantH7350 futureH7350. And 32thisH2088 is the 33customH8451 of manH120, O LordH136 GodH3068. 20AgainH5750 whatH4100 moreH5750 can DavidH1732 sayH1696 to You?
