2 Samuel 6:4-17
4So 1they broughtH5375 it with the arkH727 of GodH430 from the houseH1004 of AbinadabH41, whichH834 was on the hillH1389; and AhioH283 was walkingH1980 aheadH6440 of the arkH727. 5Meanwhile, DavidH1732 and allH3605 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 2were celebratingH7832 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 3with allH3605 kinds of instruments made of 4firH1265 woodH6086, and with lyresH3658, harpsH5035, tambourinesH8596, castanetsH4517 and cymbalsH6767.
6But when they cameH935 to the 5threshingH1637 floorH1637 of NaconH5225, UzzahH5798 6reachedH7971 out towardH413 the arkH727 of GodH430 and tookH270 holdH270 of it, for the oxenH1241 nearly upsetH8058 it. 7And the angerH639 of the LordH3068 burnedH2734 against UzzahH5798, and 7GodH430 struckH5221 him downH5221 thereH8033 for 8his irreverenceH7944; and he diedH4191 thereH8033 by the arkH727 of GodH430. 8DavidH1732 becameH2734 angryH2734 becauseH5921H834 9of the Lord’sH3068 outburstH6555H6556 against UzzahH5798, and that placeH4725 is calledH7121 10Perez-uzzahH6560 to thisH2088 dayH3117. 9So 11DavidH1732 was afraidH3372 of the LordH3068 that dayH3117; and he saidH559, “HowH349 can the arkH727 of the LordH3068 comeH935 to me?” 10And DavidH1732 was unwillingH3808H14 to moveH5493 the arkH727 of the LordH3068 into the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 with him; but DavidH1732 tookH5186 it asideH5186 to the houseH1004 of 12Obed-edomH5654 the GittiteH1663. 11Thus the arkH727 of the LordH3068 remainedH3427 in the houseH1004 of Obed-edomH5654 the GittiteH1663 threeH7969 monthsH2320, and the LordH3068 13blessedH1288 Obed-edomH5654 and allH3605 his householdH1004.
12Now it was toldH5046 KingH4428 DavidH1732, sayingH559, “The LordH3068 has blessedH1288 the houseH1004 of Obed-edomH5654 and allH3605 that belongs to him, on accountH5668 of the arkH727 of GodH430.” 14DavidH1732 wentH1980 and broughtH5927 up the arkH727 of GodH430 from the houseH1004 of Obed-edomH5654 into 15the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 with gladnessH8057. 13And so it was, that whenH3588 the 16bearersH5375 of the arkH727 of the LordH3068 had goneH6805 sixH8337 pacesH6806, he sacrificedH2076 an 17oxH7794 and a fatlingH4806. 14And 18DavidH1732 was dancingH3769 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 with allH3605 his mightH5797, and DavidH1732 was 1920wearingH2296 a linenH906 ephodH646. 15So DavidH1732 and allH3605 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 were bringingH5927 up the arkH727 of the LordH3068 with shoutingH8643 and the soundH6963 of the trumpetH7782.
16Then it happenedH1961 as the arkH727 of the LordH3068 cameH935 into the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 that 21MichalH4324 the daughterH1323 of SaulH7586 lookedH8259 out of the windowH2474 and sawH7200 KingH4428 DavidH1732 leapingH6339 and dancingH3769 beforeH6440 the LordH3068; and she despisedH959 him in her heartH3820.
17So they broughtH935 in the arkH727 of the LordH3068 and setH3322 it 22in its placeH4725 insideH8432 the tentH168 whichH834 DavidH1732 had pitchedH5186 for it; and 23DavidH1732 offeredH5927 burntH5930 offeringsH5930 and peaceH8002 offeringsH8002 beforeH6440 the LordH3068.
