2 Chronicles 16:2-12

2Then AsaH609 broughtH3318 out silverH3701 and goldH2091 from the treasuriesH214 of the houseH1004 of the LordH3068 and the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and sentH7971 them to Ben-hadadH1130 kingH4428 of AramH758, who livedH3427 in DamascusH1834, sayingH559, 3“Let there be a treatyH1285 betweenH996 1you and me, as betweenH996 my fatherH1 and your fatherH1. BeholdH2009, I have sentH7971 you silverH3701 and goldH2091; goH1980, breakH6565 your treatyH1285 with BaashaH1201 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 so that he will withdrawH5927 from me.” 4So Ben-hadadH1130 listenedH8085 to KingH4428 AsaH609 and sentH7971 the commandersH8269 of his armiesH2428 againstH413 the citiesH5892 of IsraelH3478, and they 2conqueredH5221 IjonH5859, DanH1835, Abel-maimH66 and allH3605 3the 4storeH4543 citiesH5892 of NaphtaliH5321. 5When BaashaH1201 heardH8085 of it, he ceasedH2308 5fortifyingH1129 RamahH7414 and stoppedH7673 his workH4399. 6Then KingH4428 AsaH609 broughtH3947 allH3605 JudahH3063, and they carriedH5375 away the stonesH68 of RamahH7414 and its timberH6086 with whichH834 BaashaH1201 had been buildingH1129, and with them he 6fortifiedH1129 GebaH1387 and MizpahH4709.

7At that timeH6256 7HananiH2607 the seerH7203 cameH935 to AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 and saidH559 to him, “8Because you have reliedH8172 on the kingH4428 of AramH758 and have not reliedH8172 on the LordH3068 your GodH430, thereforeH5921H3651 the armyH2428 of the kingH4428 of AramH758 has escapedH4422 out of your handH3027. 8Were not 9the EthiopiansH3569 and the LubimH3864 10an immenseH7230 armyH2428 with veryH3966 manyH7235 chariotsH7393 and horsemenH6571? Yet 11because you reliedH8172 on the LordH3068, He deliveredH5414 them into your handH3027. 9For 12the eyesH5869 of the LordH3068 moveH7751 to and froH7751 throughoutH3605 the earthH776 that He may stronglyH2388 supportH2388 those 13whose heartH3824 is completelyH8003 His. You have actedH5528 foolishlyH5528 in thisH2088. IndeedH3588, from nowH6258 on you will surely haveH3426 warsH4421.” 10Then AsaH609 was angryH3707 with the seerH7203 and putH5414 him in 14prisonH1004H4115, for he was enragedH2197 at him for thisH2088. And AsaH609 oppressedH7533 someH4480 of the peopleH5971 at the sameH1931 timeH6256.

1115NowH2009, the actsH1697 of AsaH609 from firstH7223 to lastH314, beholdH2009, they are writtenH3789 in the BookH5612 of the KingsH4428 of JudahH3063 and IsraelH3478. 12In the thirty-ninthH7970H8672 yearH8141 of his reignH4438 AsaH609 becameH2456 diseasedH2456 in his feetH7272. His diseaseH2483 was severeH4605, yet evenH1571 in his diseaseH2483 he 16did not seekH1875 the LordH3068, but the physiciansH7495.
