Chronicles 16:2-12
Then AsaH609 broughtH3318 outH3318 silverH3701 and goldH2091 outH3318 of the treasuresH214 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 and of the king’sH4428 houseH1004, and sentH7971 to Ben-hadadH1130 kingH4428 of SyriaH758, that dweltH3427 at DamascusH1834, sayingH559,
There is a leagueH1285 betweenH996 meH7971 and thee, as there was betweenH996 my fatherH1 and thy fatherH1: beholdH2009, I have sentH7971 thee silverH3701 and goldH2091; goH5927, breakH6565 thy leagueH1285 with BaashaH1201 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, that he may departH5927 from meH7971.
And Ben-hadadH1130 hearkened unto kingH4428 AsaH609, and sentH7971 the captainsH8269 of his armiesH2428 againstH413 the citiesH5892 of IsraelH3478; and they smoteH5221 IjonH5859, and DanH1835, and Abel-maimH66, and allH3605 the storeH4543 citiesH5892 of NaphtaliH5321.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961, when BaashaH1201 heardH8085 thereof, that he leftH1961 offH853 buildingH1129 of RamahH7414, and letH1961 his workH4399 ceaseH2308.
Then AsaH609 the kingH4428 tookH3947 allH3605 JudahH3063; and they carriedH5375 awayH5375 the stonesH68 of RamahH7414, and the timberH6086 thereof, wherewith BaashaH1201 had builded; and he builtH1129 therewith GebaH1387 and MizpahH4709.
And at that time HananiH2607 the seer cameH935 to AsaH609 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and saidH559 unto him, BecauseH5921 thou hast reliedH8172 on the kingH4428 of SyriaH758, and hast notH3808 reliedH8172 on the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, therefore is the hostH2426 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH758 escapedH4422 outH5921 of thine handH3027.
Were notH3808 the EthiopiansH3569 and the LubimH3864 a huge host, with chariotsH7393 and horsemenH6571 exceedingH3966 manyH7230? yet, becauseH5921 thou didst relyH8172 on the LORDH3068, he deliveredH5414 them intoH5921 thine handH3027.
For the eyesH5869 of the LORDH3068 run to and fro throughoutH3605 the wholeH3605 earthH776, to shew himselfH3824 strongH2388 in the behalfH5921 of them whoseH3605 heartH3824 is perfectH8003 towardH413 him. Herein thou hast doneH3605 foolishlyH5528; for from henceforth thou shalt have warsH4421.
Then AsaH609 was wroth with the seer, and putH5414 him in the prisonH1004 houseH1004; for he was in a rageH2197 with him becauseH3588 of this thingH2063. And AsaH609 oppressedH7533 someH4480 of the peopleH5971 the sameH1931 time.
And, beholdH2009, the actsH1697 of AsaH609, firstH7223 and lastH314, loH2009, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063 and IsraelH3478.
And in the thirtyH7970 and ninthH8672 yearH8141 of his reignH4438 AsaH609 was diseasedH2456 in his feetH7272; his diseaseH2483 was exceeding great: yet in his diseaseH2483 he soughtH1875 notH3808 to the LORDH3068, but to the physiciansH7495.
