Samuel 17:32-36
DavidH1732 saidH559 to SaulH7586, “1Let noH408 man’sH120 heartH3820 failH5307 on accountH5921 of him; 2your servantH5650 will goH1980 and fightH3898 with thisH2088 PhilistineH6430.”
Then SaulH7586 saidH559 to DavidH1732, “3You are not ableH3201 to goH1980 againstH413 thisH2088 PhilistineH6430 to fightH3898 with him; for you are but a youthH5271 while he has been a warriorH4421 from his youthH5271.”
But DavidH1732 saidH559 to SaulH7586, “Your servantH5650 was tendingH7462 his father’sH1 sheepH6629. When a lionH738 or a bearH1677 cameH935 and tookH5375 a lambH7716 from the flockH5739,
I wentH3318 out afterH310 him and 4attackedH5221 him, and 5rescuedH5337 it from his mouthH6310; and when he roseH6965 up againstH5921 me, I seizedH2388 him by his beardH2206 and 6struckH5221 him and killedH4191 him.
Your servantH5650 has 7killedH5221 bothH1571 the lionH738 and the bearH1677; and thisH2088 uncircumcisedH6189 PhilistineH6430 will be like oneH259 of them, sinceH3588 he has tauntedH2778 the armiesH4634 of the livingH2416 GodH430.”
