2“Speakדַּבֵּ֨רda.BerH1696to Aaronאַהֲרֹ֜ן'a.ha.RonH175and to his sonsבָּנָ֗יוba.NavH1121and to allכָּל־kol-H3605the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478and sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֖ve.'a.mar.TaH559to them, ‘Thisזֶ֣הzehH2088is whatהַדָּבָ֔ר אֲשֶׁר־ha.da.Var 'a.Sher-H1697 H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has commandedצִוָּ֥הtzi.VahH6680,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

3“Anyאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376manאִישׁ֙'ishH376from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834slaughtersיִשְׁחַ֜טyish.ChatH7819an oxשׁ֥וֹרShorH7794orאוֹ־'ov-H176a lambכֶ֛שֶׂבKhe.sevH3775orאוֹ־'ov-H176a goatעֵ֖ז'ezH5795in the campבַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הba.ma.cha.NehH4264,orא֚וֹ'oH176whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834slaughtersיִשְׁחַ֔טyish.ChatH7819it outsideמִח֖וּץmi.ChutzH4480 H2351the campלַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃La.ma.cha.NehH4264,

4andhas not broughtהֱבִיאוֹ֒he.vi.'OH935it to the doorwayפֶּ֜תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵד֮mo.'EdH4150to presentלְהַקְרִ֤יבle.hak.RivH7126itas an offeringקָרְבָּן֙kor.banH7133to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068beforeלִפְנֵ֖יlif.NeiH6440thetabernacleמִשְׁכַּ֣ןmish.KanH4908of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,bloodguiltinessדָּ֣םdamH1818is to be reckonedיֵחָשֵׁ֞בye.cha.ShevH2803to that manלָאִ֤ישׁla.'IshH376.He has shedשָׁפָ֔ךְsha.FakhH8210bloodדָּ֣םdamH1818and that manהָאִ֥ישׁha.'IshH376shall be cutוְנִכְרַ֛תve.nikh.RatH3772offH3772from amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130his peopleעַמּֽוֹ׃a.MoH5971.

5The reasonH4616is soH4616that the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478may bringיָבִ֜יאוּya.Vi.'uH935their sacrificesזִבְחֵיהֶם֮ziv.chei.HemH2077whichH834they were sacrificingזֹבְחִים֮zoe.ChimH2076in the openפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440fieldהַשָּׂדֶה֒ha.sa.DehH7704,that they may bringוֶֽהֱבִיאֻ֣םve.he.vi.'UmH935them in to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068,at the doorwayפֶּ֛תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֥הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֖דmo.'EdH4150to the priestהַכֹּהֵ֑ןha.ko.HenH3548,and sacrificeוְזָ֨בְח֜וּve.Za.ve.ChuH2076them as sacrificesזִבְחֵ֧יziv.CheiH2077of peaceשְׁלָמִ֛יםshe.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002to the Lordלַֽיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068.

6The priestהַכֹּהֵ֤ןha.ko.HenH3548shall sprinkleוְזָרַ֨קve.za.RakH2236the bloodהַדָּם֙ha.DamH1818on the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068at the doorwayפֶּ֖תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֣הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵ֑דmo.'EdH4150, andofferH6999up the fatהַחֵ֔לֶבha.Che.levH2459in smokeוְהִקְטִ֣ירve.hik.TirH6999as a soothingנִיחֹ֖חַni.Cho.achH5207aromaלְרֵ֥יחַle.Rei.achH7381to the Lordלַיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

7They shall noוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808longerעוֹד֙'OdH5750sacrificeיִזְבְּח֥וּyiz.be.ChuH2076their sacrificesזִבְחֵיהֶ֔םziv.chei.HemH2077to thegoatלַשְּׂעִירִ֕םla.se.'i.RimH8163demonsH8163with whichאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834they playH2181the harlotH2181.ThisH2088shall be a permanentעוֹלָ֛םo.LamH5769statuteחֻקַּ֥תchu.KatH2708to them throughout their generationsלְדֹרֹתָֽם׃le.do.ro.TamH1755.”’

8“Then you shall sayתֹּאמַ֔רto.MarH559to them, ‘Anyאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376manאִישׁ֙'ishH376from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,or from the aliensהַגֵּ֖רha.GerH1616whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834sojournיָג֣וּרya.GurH1481amongבְּתוֹכָ֑םbe.to.KhamH8432them, whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834offersיַעֲלֶ֥הya.'a.LehH5927a burntעֹלָ֖ה'o.LahH5930offeringH5930orאוֹ־'ov-H176sacrificeזָֽבַח׃Za.vachH2077,

9anddoes not bringיְבִיאֶ֔נּוּye.vi.'E.nuH935it to the doorwayפֶּ֜תַחPe.tachH6607of the tentאֹ֤הֶל'O.helH168of meetingמוֹעֵד֙mo.'EdH4150toofferלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213it to the Lordלַיהוָ֑הla.Yah.wehH3068,that manהָאִ֥ישׁha.'IshH376also shall be cutוְנִכְרַ֛תve.nikh.RatH3772offH3772from his peopleמֵעַמָּֽיו׃me.'a.MavH5971.

10‘And anyוְאִ֨ישׁve.'IshH376manאִ֜ישׁ'ishH376from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,or from the aliensהַגֵּר֙ha.GerH1616who sojournהַגָּ֣רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכָ֔םbe.to.KhamH8432them, whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834eatsיֹאכַ֖לyo.KhalH398anyכָּל־kol-H3605bloodדָּ֑םDamH1818,I will setוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414My faceפָנַ֗יfa.NaiH6440against that personבַּנֶּ֙פֶשׁ֙ba.Ne.feshH5315who eatsהָאֹכֶ֣לֶתha.'o.Khe.letH398bloodהַדָּ֔םha.DamH1818and will cutוְהִכְרַתִּ֥יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772him offH3772from amongמִקֶּ֥רֶבmi.Ke.revH7130his peopleעַמָּֽהּ׃'a.MahH5971.

11For thelifeנֶ֣פֶשׁNe.feshH5315of the fleshהַבָּשָׂר֮ha.ba.SarH1320is in the bloodבַּדָּ֣םba.DamH1818,and I have givenנְתַתִּ֤יוne.ta.TivH5414it to you on the altarהַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַha.miz.Be.achH4196to makeלְכַפֵּ֖רle.kha.PerH3722atonementיְכַפֵּֽר׃ye.kha.PerH3722for your soulsנַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶ֑םnaf.sho.tei.KhemH5315; forit is the bloodהַדָּ֥םha.DamH1818by reason of thelifeבַּנֶּ֥פֶשׁba.Ne.feshH5315that makesH3722atonementH3722.’

12Thereforeעַל־ כֵּ֤ן'al- kenH5921 H3651I saidאָמַ֙רְתִּי֙'a.Mar.tiH559to the sonsלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, ‘Noכָּל־ לֹא־kol- lo'-H3605 H3808personנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315amongH4480you may eatתֹ֣אכַלTo.khalH398bloodדָּ֑םDamH1818,norלֹא־lo'-H3808may any alienוְהַגֵּ֛רve.ha.GerH1616who sojournsהַגָּ֥רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכְכֶ֖םbe.tokh.KhemH8432you eatיֹ֥אכַלYo.khalH398bloodדָּֽם׃ סDamH1818.’

13So when anyוְאִ֨ישׁve.'IshH376manאִ֜ישׁ'ishH376from the sonsמִבְּנֵ֣יmi.be.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,or from the aliensהַגֵּר֙ha.GerH1616who sojournהַגָּ֣רha.GarH1481amongבְּתוֹכָ֔םbe.to.KhamH8432them,in huntingצֵ֥ידtzeidH6718catchesיָצ֜וּדya.TzudH6679a beastH2421orאוֹ־'ov-H176a birdע֖וֹףofH5775whichH834may be eatenיֵאָכֵ֑לye.'a.KhelH398,he shall pourוְשָׁפַךְ֙ve.sha.faKhH8210out its bloodדָּמ֔וֹda.MoH1818and coverוְכִסָּ֖הוּve.khi.Sa.huH3680it with earthבֶּעָפָֽר׃be.'a.FarH6083.

14“For as for thelifeנֶ֣פֶשׁNe.feshH5315of allכָּל־kol-H3605fleshבָּשָׂ֗רba.SarH1320,its bloodדָּמ֣וֹda.MoH1818is identified with itslifeבְנַפְשׁוֹ֮ve.naf.ShoH5315.Therefore I saidוָֽאֹמַר֙va.'o.MarH559to the sonsלִבְנֵ֣יliv.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478, ‘You are not to eatתֹאכֵ֑לוּto.Khe.luH398the bloodדַּ֥םdamH1818of anyכָּל־kol-H3605fleshבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320, for thelifeנֶ֤פֶשׁNe.feshH5315of allכָּל־kol-H3605fleshבָּשָׂר֙ba.SarH1320is its bloodדָּמ֣וֹda.MoH1818;whoeverכָּל־kol-H3605eatsאֹכְלָ֖יו'o.khe.LavH398it shall be cutיִכָּרֵֽת׃yi.ka.RetH3772offH3772.’

15When anyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605personנֶ֗פֶשׁNe.feshH5315eatsתֹּאכַ֤לto.KhalH398an animalwhichH5038diesH5038or is tornוּטְרֵפָ֔הu.te.re.FahH2966by beasts,whether he is a nativeבָּאֶזְרָ֖חba.'ez.RachH249or an alienוּבַגֵּ֑רu.va.GerH1616,he shall washוְכִבֶּ֨סve.khi.BesH3526his clothesבְּגָדָ֜יוbe.ga.DavH899and batheוְרָחַ֥ץve.ra.ChatzH7364in waterבַּמַּ֛יִםba.Ma.yimH4325,and remainH2930uncleanוְטָמֵ֥אve.ta.Me'H2930untilעַד־'ad-H5704eveningהָעֶ֖רֶבha.'E.revH6153;then he will becomeH2891cleanH2891.

16But ifוְאִם֙ve.'ImH518he does not washיְכַבֵּ֔סye.kha.BesH3526themor batheיִרְחָ֑ץyir.ChatzH7364his bodyוּבְשָׂר֖וֹu.ve.sa.RoH1320, thenhe shall bearוְנָשָׂ֖אve.na.Sa'H5375hisguiltעֲוֹנֽוֹ׃ פa.vo.NoH5771.”
