24Now when Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֡לYis.ra.'ElH3478had finishedכְּכַלּ֣וֹתke.kha.LotH3615killingלַהֲרֹג֩la.ha.RogH2026allכָּל־kol-H3605the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֨יyo.she.VeiH3427of Aiהָעַ֜יha.'AiH5857in the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶ֗הba.sa.DehH7704in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּר֙ba.mid.BarH4057whereאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834they pursuedרְדָפ֣וּםre.da.FumH7291them, and allכֻלָּ֛םkhu.LamH3605of them were fallenוַֽיִּפְּל֥וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307by the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחֶ֖רֶבChe.revH2719untilעַד־'ad-H5704they were destroyedתֻּמָּ֑םtu.MamH8552,then allכָל־khol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֤בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725to Aiהָעַ֔יha.'AiH5857and struckוַיַּכּ֥וּvai.ya.KuH5221it with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָֽרֶב׃Cha.revH2719.

25Allכָל־khol-H3605who fellהַנֹּ֨פְלִ֜יםha.No.fe.LimH5307that dayבַּיּ֤וֹםbai.YomH3117,bothH4480menמֵאִ֣ישׁme.'IshH376and womenאִשָּׁ֔ה'i.ShahH802,were 12,000שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָׂ֖ר אָ֑לֶףshe.Neim 'a.Sar 'A.lefH8147 H6240 H505--allכֹּ֖לkolH3605thepeopleH376of Aiהָעָֽי׃ha.'AiH5857.

26For Joshuaוִיהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙vi.ho.Shu.a'H3091did not withdrawהֵשִׁ֣יבhe.ShivH7725his handיָד֔וֹya.DoH3027with whichH834he stretchedנָטָ֖הna.TahH5186out the javelinבַּכִּיד֑וֹןba.ki.DonH3591untilעַ֚ד'adH5704he hadutterlyH2763destroyedהֶחֱרִ֔יםhe.che.RimH2763allכָּל־kol-H3605the inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427of Aiהָעָֽי׃ha.'AiH5857.

27Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478tookH962onlyH7534the cattleהַבְּהֵמָ֗הha.be.he.MahH929and the spoilוּשְׁלַל֙u.she.LalH7998of that cityהָעִ֣ירha.'IrH5892as plunderבָּזְז֥וּba.ze.ZuH962for themselves, according to the wordכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834He had commandedצִוָּ֖הtzi.VahH6680Joshuaיְהוֹשֻֽׁעַ׃ye.ho.Shu.a'H3091.

28So Joshuaיְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַye.ho.Shu.a'H3091burnedוַיִּשְׂרֹ֥ףvai.yis.RofH8313Aiהָעָ֑יha.'AiH5857and madeוַיְשִׂימֶ֤הָvay.si.Me.haH7760ita heapתֵּל־tel-H8510foreverעוֹלָם֙o.LamH5769,a desolationשְׁמָמָ֔הshe.ma.MahH8077untilעַ֖ד'adH5704thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117.
