2“Speakדַּבֵּ֛רda.BerH1696to the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘Designateתְּנ֤וּte.NuH5414the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of refugeהַמִּקְלָ֔טha.mik.LatH4733,of whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I spokeדִּבַּ֥רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696to youthroughבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872,

3that the manslayerרוֹצֵ֔חַro.Tze.achH7523whokillsמַכֵּה־ma.keh-H5221any personנֶ֥פֶשׁNe.feshH5315unintentionallyבִּשְׁגָגָ֖הbish.ga.GahH7684,withoutבִּבְלִי־biv.li-H1097premeditationדָ֑עַתDa.'atH1847,may fleeלָנ֥וּסla.NusH5127thereשָׁ֙מָּה֙Sha.mahH8033,and they shall becomeוְהָי֤וּve.ha.YuH1961your refugeלְמִקְלָ֔טle.mik.LatH4733from the avengerמִגֹּאֵ֖לmi.go.'ElH1350of bloodהַדָּֽם׃ha.DamH1818.

4He shall fleeוְנָ֞סve.NasH5127to oneאַחַ֣ת׀'a.ChatH259of theseהָאֵ֗לֶּהha.'E.lehH428citiesמֵהֶעָרִ֣יםme.he.'a.RimH5892,and shall standוְעָמַד֙ve.'a.MadH5975at the entranceפֶּ֚תַחPe.tachH6607of thegateשַׁ֣עַרSha.'arH8179of the cityהָעִ֔ירha.'IrH5892and stateוְדִבֶּ֛רve.di.BerH1696his caseדְּבָרָ֑יוde.va.RavH1697in the hearingבְּאָזְנֵ֛יbe.'a.ze.NeiH241of the eldersזִקְנֵ֥י־zik.Nei-H2205of that cityהָעִֽירha.'ir-H5892; and they shalltakeוְאָסְפ֨וּve.'a.se.FuH622him into the cityהָעִ֙ירָה֙ha.'I.rahH5892to them and giveוְנָתְנוּ־ve.na.te.nu-H5414him a placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725,so that he may dwellוְיָשַׁ֥בve.ya.ShavH3427amongעִמָּֽם׃'i.MamH5973them.

5Nowifוְכִ֨יve.KhiH3588the avengerגֹּאֵ֤לgo.'ElH1350of bloodהַדָּם֙ha.DamH1818pursuesיִרְדֹּ֜ףyir.DofH7291him, then they shall not deliverיַסְגִּ֥רוּyas.Gi.ruH5462the manslayerהָרֹצֵ֖חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523into his handבְּיָד֑וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,becauseכִּ֤יkiH3588he struckהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221his neighborרֵעֵ֔הוּre.'E.huH7453withoutבִבְלִי־viv.li-H1097premeditationדַ֙עַת֙da.'atH1847and did not hateשֹׂנֵ֥אso.Ne'H8130him beforehandמִתְּמ֥וֹל שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם׃mi.te.Mol shil.ShomH4480 H8543 H8032.

6He shall dwellוְיָשַׁ֣ב׀ve.ya.ShavH3427in that cityבָּעִ֣ירba.'IrH5892untilעַד־'ad-H5704he standsעָמְד֞וֹa.me.DoH5975beforeלִפְנֵ֤יlif.NeiH6440the congregationהָֽעֵדָה֙ha.'e.DahH5712for judgmentלַמִּשְׁפָּ֔טla.mish.PatH4941,untilעַד־'ad-H5704the deathמוֹת֙mOtH4194of the one whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834is highהַגָּד֔וֹלha.ga.DolH1419priestהַכֹּהֵ֣ןha.ko.HenH3548in thoseהָהֵ֑םha.HemH1992daysבַּיָּמִ֣יםbai.ya.MimH3117.Thenאָ֣ז׀'azH227the manslayerהָרוֹצֵ֗חַha.ro.Tze.achH7523shallreturnיָשׁ֣וּב וּבָ֤אya.Shuv u.Va'H7725 H935to his own cityעִירוֹ֙i.RoH5892and to his own houseבֵּית֔וֹbei.ToH1004,to the cityהָעִ֖ירha.'IrH5892from whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834he fledנָ֥סnasH5127.’”

7So theysetוַיַּקְדִּ֜שׁוּvai.yak.Di.shuH6942apartH6942Kedeshקֶ֤דֶשׁKe.deshH6943inGalileeבַּגָּלִיל֙ba.ga.LilH1551in the hillבְּהַ֣רbe.HarH2022countryבְּהַ֣רbe.HarH2022of Naphtaliנַפְתָּלִ֔יnaf.ta.LiH5321and Shechemשְׁכֶ֖םshe.KhemH7927in the hillבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022countryH2022of Ephraimאֶפְרָ֑יִם'ef.Ra.yimH669,and Kiriath-arbaH7153(that is, Hebronחֶבְר֖וֹןchev.RonH2275) inthe hillH2022countryH2022of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063.
