14I will layוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414My vengeanceנִקְמָתִ֜יnik.ma.TiH5360on EdomH112by the handבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of My peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478.Therefore, they will actוְעָשׂ֣וּve.'a.SuH6213in EdomH112according to My angerכְּאַפִּ֖יke.'a.PiH639and according to My wrathוְכַחֲמָתִ֑יve.kha.cha.ma.TiH2534;thus they will knowוְיָֽדְעוּ֙ve.ya.de.'UH3045My vengeanceנִקְמָתִ֔יnik.ma.TiH5360,”declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068.

15‘Thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Becauseיַ֛עַןYa.'anH3282the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יםpe.lish.TimH6430have actedעֲשׂ֥וֹתa.SotH6213inrevengeבִּנְקָמָ֑הbin.ka.MahH5360and have takenוַיִּנָּקְמ֤וּvai.yi.na.ke.MuH5358vengeanceנָקָם֙na.KamH5359with scornבִּשְׁאָ֣טbish.'AtH7589of soulבְּנֶ֔פֶשׁbe.Ne.feshH5315to destroyלְמַשְׁחִ֖יתle.mash.ChitH4889with everlastingעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769enmityאֵיבַ֥ת'ei.VatH342,”

16thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651thusכֹּ֤הkohH3541saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “BeholdH2009, I willstretchנוֹטֶ֤הno.TehH5186out My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027againstעַל־'al-H5921the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430,even cutוְהִכְרַתִּ֖יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772offH3772theCherethitesכְּרֵתִ֑יםke.re.TimH3774and destroyוְהַ֣אֲבַדְתִּ֔יve.Ha.'a.vad.TiH6the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֖יתshe.'e.RitH7611of the seacoastח֥וֹף הַיָּֽם׃Chof hai.YamH3220 H2348.

17I will executeוְעָשִׂ֤יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213greatגְּדֹל֔וֹתge.do.LotH1419vengeanceנְקָמ֣וֹתne.ka.MotH5360on them with wrathfulחֵמָ֑הche.MahH2534rebukesבְּתוֹכְח֖וֹתbe.tokh.ChotH8433; and they willknowוְיָֽדְעוּ֙ve.ya.de.'UH3045that I am the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068when I layבְּתִתִּ֥יbe.ti.TiH5414My vengeanceנִקְמָתִ֖יnik.ma.TiH5360on them.”’”
