15“But youtrustedוַתִּבְטְחִ֣יva.tiv.te.ChiH982in your beautyבְיָפְיֵ֔ךְve.ya.fe.YekhH3308andplayedH2181the harlotH2181becauseH5921of your fameשְׁמֵ֑ךְshe.MekhH8034,and you pouredוַתִּשְׁפְּכִ֧יva.tish.pe.KhiH8210out your harlotriesתַּזְנוּתַ֛יִךְtaz.nu.Ta.yikhH8457on everyכָּל־kol-H3605passer-byעוֹבֵ֖רo.VerH5674who might be willing.

16You tookוַתִּקְחִ֣יva.tik.ChiH3947someH4480of your clothesמִבְּגָדַ֗יִךְmi.be.ga.Da.yikhH899,madeוַתַּֽעֲשִׂי־va.ta.'a.si-H6213for yourself highבָּמ֣וֹתba.MotH1116placesH1116of variousH2921colorsH2921and playedH2181the harlotH2181on them,which should neverלֹ֥אlo'H3808comeבָא֖וֹתva.'otH935about norוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808happenיִהְיֶֽה׃yih.YehH1961.

17You also tookוַתִּקְחִ֞יva.tik.ChiH3947your beautifulתִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְtif.'ar.TekhH8597jewelsכְּלֵ֣יke.LeiH3627madeof My goldמִזְּהָבִ֤יmi.ze.ha.ViH2091and of My silverוּמִכַּסְפִּי֙u.mi.kas.PiH3701,whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834I had givenנָתַ֣תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414you, and madeוַתַּעֲשִׂי־va.ta.'a.si-H6213for yourself maleזָכָ֑רza.KharH2145imagesצַלְמֵ֣יtzal.MeiH6754that you might playH2181the harlotH2181with them.

18Then you tookוַתִּקְחִ֛יva.tik.ChiH3947your embroideredרִקְמָתֵ֖ךְrik.ma.TekhH7553clothבִּגְדֵ֥יbig.DeiH899and coveredוַתְּכַסִּ֑יםva.te.kha.SimH3680them, and offeredנָתַ֖תְּna.ta.tiH5414My oilוְשַׁמְנִי֙ve.sham.NiH8081and My incenseוּקְטָרְתִּ֔יu.ke.ta.re.TiH7004beforeלִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃lif.nei.HemH6440them.

20“Moreover, you tookוַתִּקְחִ֞יva.tik.ChiH3947your sonsבָּנַ֤יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121and daughtersבְּנוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙be.no.Ta.yikhH1323whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you had borneיָלַ֣דְתְּya.LadtH3205to Me andsacrificedוַתִּזְבָּחִ֥יםva.tiz.ba.ChimH2076them toidols to be devouredלֶאֱכ֑וֹלle.'e.KholH398.Were your harlotriesמִתַּזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃mi.taz.nu.tekhH8457soH4592smallH4592a matter?

21You slaughteredוַֽתִּשְׁחֲטִ֖יva.tish.cha.TiH7819My childrenבָּנָ֑יba.NaiH1121and offeredוַֽתִּתְּנִ֔יםva.ti.te.NimH5414them up to idols bycausing them to passבְּהַעֲבִ֥ירbe.ha.'a.VirH5674throughH5674the fire.

22BesidesH854allכָּל־kol-H3605your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֹתַ֙יִךְ֙to.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441and harlotriesוְתַזְנֻתַ֔יִךְve.taz.nu.Ta.yikhH8457you did not rememberזָכַ֖רְתְּza.khar.tiH2142the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117ofyour youthנְעוּרָ֑יִךְne.'u.Ra.yikhH5271,when you were nakedעֵרֹ֣ם'e.RomH5903and bareוְעֶרְיָ֔הve.'er.YahH6181and squirmingמִתְבּוֹסֶ֥סֶתmit.bo.Se.setH947in your bloodבְּדָמֵ֖ךְbe.da.MekhH1818.

23“Then it cameוַיְהִ֕יvay.HiH1961about afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310allכָּל־kol-H3605your wickednessH7463(‘Woeא֣וֹי'oH188,woeא֣וֹי'oH188to you!’ declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068),

26You also playedH2181the harlotH2181with the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, yourlustfulגִּדְלֵ֣י בָשָׂ֑רgid.Lei va.SarH1320 H1432neighborsשְׁכֵנַ֖יִךְshe.khe.Na.yikhH7934,and multipliedוַתַּרְבִּ֥יva.tar.BiH7235your harlotryתַּזְנֻתֵ֖ךְtaz.nu.TekhH8457tomakeH3707Me angryH3707.

27Beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009now, I have stretchedנָטִ֤יתִיna.Ti.tiH5186out My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027againstעָלַ֔יִךְ'a.La.yikhH5921you and diminishedוָאֶגְרַ֖עva.'eg.Ra'H1639your rationsחֻקֵּ֑ךְchu.KekhH2706.And I deliveredוָאֶתְּנֵ֞ךְva.'e.te.NekhH5414you up to the desireבְּנֶ֤פֶשׁbe.Ne.feshH5315of those who hateשֹׂנְאוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙so.ne.'o.Ta.yikhH8130you, thedaughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430,who are ashamedהַנִּכְלָמ֖וֹתha.nikh.la.MotH3637of your lewdזִמָּֽה׃zi.MahH2154conductמִדַּרְכֵּ֥ךְmi.dar.KekhH1870.

28Moreover, you playedH2181the harlotH2181with theAssyriansאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804becauseH4480you were not satisfiedשָׂבְעָתֵ֑ךְsa.ve.'a.TekhH7654;you playedH2181the harlotH2181with them and stillוְגַ֖םve.GamH1571were not satisfiedשָׂבָֽעַתְּ׃sa.Va.'atH7646.

29You also multipliedוַתַּרְבִּ֧יva.tar.BiH7235your harlotryתַּזְנוּתֵ֛ךְtaz.nu.TekhH8457with the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of merchantsכְּנַ֖עַןke.Na.'anH3667,Chaldeaכַּשְׂדִּ֑ימָהkas.Di.mahH3778,yet evenוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571with thisH2088you were not satisfiedשָׂבָֽעַתְּ׃sa.Va.'atH7646.”’”

31When you builtבִּבְנוֹתַ֤יִךְbiv.no.Ta.yikhH1129your shrineגַּבֵּךְ֙ga.beKhH1354at the beginningבְּרֹ֣אשׁbe.RoshH7218of everyכָּל־kol-H3605streetדֶּ֔רֶךְDe.rekhH1870and madeעָשִׂ֖יתa.si.tiH6213your highוְרָמָתֵ֥ךְve.ra.ma.TekhH7413placeH7413in everyבְּכָל־be.kholH3605squareרְח֑וֹבre.ChovH7339, indisdainingלְקַלֵּ֥סle.ka.LesH7046moneyאֶתְנָֽן׃'et.NanH868,you were not like a harlotכַּזּוֹנָ֖הka.zo.NahH2181.

32You adulteressהַמְּנָאָ֑פֶתha.me.na.'A.fetH5003wifeהָאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802,who takesתִּקַּ֖חti.KachH3947strangersזָרִֽים׃za.RimH2114insteadתַּ֣חַתTa.chatH8478of her husbandאִישָׁ֔הּ'i.ShahH376!

33Men giveיִתְּנוּ־yi.te.nu-H5414giftsנֵ֑דֶהNe.dehH5078to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605harlotsזֹנ֖וֹתzo.NotH2181, but yougiveנָתַ֤תְּna.TatH5414your giftsנְדָנַ֙יִךְ֙ne.da.Na.yikhH5083to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605your loversמְאַֽהֲבַ֔יִךְme.'a.ha.Va.yikhH157to bribeוַתִּשְׁחֳדִ֣יva.tish.cho.DiH7809them to comeלָב֥וֹאla.Vo'H935to you from everyH5439directionH5439for your harlotriesבְּתַזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃be.taz.nu.Ta.yikhH8457.

34Thus you are differentהֵ֤פֶךְHe.fekhH2016from those womenהַנָּשִׁים֙ha.na.ShimH802in your harlotriesבְּתַזְנוּתַ֔יִךְbe.taz.nu.Ta.yikhH8457,in that noלֹ֣אlo'H3808one playsH2181the harlotH2181as you do, because you giveוּבְתִתֵּ֣ךְu.ve.ti.TekhH5414moneyאֶתְנָ֗ן'et.NanH868and noלֹ֥אlo'H3808moneyוְאֶתְנַ֛ןve.'et.NanH868is givenנִתַּן־ni.tan-H5414you; thus you are differentלְהֶֽפֶךְ׃le.He.fekhH2016.”

35Thereforeלָכֵ֣ןla.KhenH3651,O harlotזוֹנָ֔הzo.NahH2181,hearשִׁמְעִ֖יshim.'IH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.

36Thusכֹּֽה־koh-H3541saysאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136 GodH3068, “Becauseיַ֣עַןYa.'anH3282your lewdnessH5179was pouredהִשָּׁפֵ֤ךְhi.sha.FekhH8210out and your nakednessעֶרְוָתֵ֔ךְ'er.va.TekhH6172uncoveredוַתִּגָּלֶ֣הva.ti.ga.LehH1540through your harlotriesבְּתַזְנוּתַ֖יִךְbe.taz.nu.Ta.yikhH8457with your loversמְאַהֲבָ֑יִךְme.'a.ha.Va.yikhH157and with allכָּל־kol-H3605your detestableתוֹעֲבוֹתַ֔יִךְto.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441idolsגִּלּוּלֵ֣יgi.lu.LeiH1544,and because of the bloodוְכִדְמֵ֣יve.khid.MeiH1818of your sonsבָנַ֔יִךְva.Na.yikhH1121whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you gaveנָתַ֖תְּna.TatH5414to idols,

37thereforeלָ֠כֵןLa.khenH3651,beholdH2009, I willgatherמְקַבֵּ֤ץme.ka.BetzH6908allכָּל־kol-H3605your loversמְאַהֲבַ֙יִךְ֙me.'a.ha.Va.yikhH157with whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you tookH6149pleasureH6149,even allכָּל־kol-H3605those whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you lovedאָהַ֔בְתְּ'a.HavtH157andallכָּל־kol-H3605those whomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834youhatedשָׂנֵ֑אתsa.NetH8130.So I will gatherוְקִבַּצְתִּי֩ve.ki.batz.TiH6908them againstH5921you from everyH5439directionH5439andexposeוְגִלֵּיתִ֤יve.gi.lei.TiH1540your nakednessעֶרְוָתֵךְ֙'er.va.teKhH6172to them that they may seeוְרָא֖וּve.ra.'UH7200allכָּל־kol-H3605your nakednessעֶרְוָתֵֽךְ׃'er.va.TekhH6172.

38Thus I willjudgeוּשְׁפַטְתִּיךְ֙u.she.fa.tiKhH8199you like women who commitH5003adulteryH5003or shedוְשֹׁפְכֹ֖תve.sho.fe.KhotH8210bloodדָּ֑םDamH1818are judgedמִשְׁפְּטֵ֣יmish.pe.TeiH4941;and I will bringוּנְתַתִּ֕יךְu.ne.ta.TikhH5414on you the bloodדַּ֥םdamH1818ofwrathחֵמָ֖הche.MahH2534and jealousyוְקִנְאָֽה׃ve.kin.'AhH7068.

41They willburnוְשָׂרְפ֤וּve.sa.re.FuH8313your housesבָתַּ֙יִךְ֙va.Ta.yikhH1004with fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784and executeוְעָשׂוּ־ve.'a.su-H6213judgmentsשְׁפָטִ֔יםshe.fa.TimH8201on you in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of manyרַבּ֑וֹתra.BotH7227womenנָשִׁ֣יםna.ShimH802. 42So Iwill calmוַהֲנִחֹתִ֤יva.ha.ni.cho.TiH5117My furyחֲמָתִי֙cha.ma.TiH2534against you and My jealousyקִנְאָתִ֖יkin.'a.TiH7068will departוְסָ֥רָהve.Sa.rahH5493from you, and I will be pacifiedוְשָׁ֣קַטְתִּ֔יve.Sha.ka.TiH8252and angryאֶכְעַ֖ס'ekh.'AsH3707noוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808moreעֽוֹד׃odH5750.
