3In the firstהָרִאשׁוֹנָ֨הha.ri.sho.NahH7223yearבַשָּׁנָה֩va.sha.NahH8141of his reignלְמָלְכ֜וֹle.ma.le.KhoH4427,in the firstהָרִאשׁ֗וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223monthבַּחֹ֣דֶשׁba.Cho.deshH2320, heopenedפָּתַ֛חpa.TachH6605the doorsדַּלְת֥וֹתdal.TotH1817of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068and repairedוַֽיְחַזְּקֵֽם׃Vay.cha.ze.KemH2388them.

4He broughtוַיָּבֵ֥אvai.ya.Ve'H935in the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֑םhal.vi.YimH3881and gatheredוַיַּֽאַסְפֵ֖םvai.ya.'as.FemH622them into the squareלִרְח֥וֹבlir.ChovH7339on the eastהַמִּזְרָֽח׃ha.miz.RachH4217.

5Then he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Listenשְׁמָע֣וּנִיshe.ma.'U.niH8085to me, O Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֑םhal.vi.YimH3881.Consecrateהִֽתְקַדְּשׁ֗וּhit.ka.de.ShuH6942yourselves nowעַתָּ֣ה'a.TahH6258,and consecrateוְקַדְּשׁוּ֙ve.ka.de.ShuH6942the houseבֵּ֤יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of your fathersאֲבֹתֵיכֶ֔ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1,and carryוְהוֹצִ֥יאוּve.ho.Tzi.'uH3318the uncleannessהַנִּדָּ֖הha.ni.DahH5079out from the holyהַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ha.Ko.deshH6944place.

6For our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֗ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1have beenH4603unfaithfulH4603and have doneוְעָשׂ֥וּve.'a.SuH6213evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָֽה־Yah.weh-H3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,and have forsakenוַיַּֽעַזְבֻ֑הוּvai.ya.'az.Vu.huH5800Him andturnedוַיַּסֵּ֧בּוּvai.yas.Se.buH5437their facesפְנֵיהֶ֛םfe.nei.HemH6440awayH5437from the dwellingH4908placeH4908of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068, and haveturnedוַיִּתְּנוּ־vai.yi.te.nu-H5414theirbacksעֹֽרֶף׃'O.refH6203.

7They have alsoגַּ֣םgamH1571shutסָֽגְר֞וּsa.ge.RuH5462the doorsדַּלְת֣וֹתdal.TotH1817of the porchהָאוּלָ֗םha.'u.LamH197and putוַיְכַבּוּ֙vay.kha.BuH3518out the lampsהַנֵּר֔וֹתha.ne.RotH5216,and have not burnedהִקְטִ֑ירוּhik.Ti.ruH6999incenseוּקְטֹ֖רֶתu.ke.To.retH7004or offeredהֶעֱל֣וּhe.'e.LuH5927burntוְעֹלָה֙ve.'o.LahH5930offeringsH5930in the holyבַקֹּ֔דֶשׁva.Ko.deshH6944place to the Godלֵאלֹהֵ֖יle.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

8Thereforethe wrathקֶ֣צֶףKe.tzefH7110of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068was againstעַל־'al-H5921Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִָ֑םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389,and He has madeוַיִּתְּנֵ֤םvai.yi.te.NemH5414them an objectH2113of terrorH2113,of horrorלְשַׁמָּ֣הle.sha.MahH8047, and ofhissingוְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔הve.lish.re.KahH8322,as you seeרֹאִ֖יםro.'ImH7200with your own eyesבְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃be.'ei.nei.KhemH5869.

9For beholdוְהִנֵּ֛הve.hi.NehH2009,our fathersאֲבוֹתֵ֖ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1have fallenנָפְל֥וּna.fe.LuH5307by the swordבֶּחָ֑רֶבbe.Cha.revH2719,and our sonsוּבָנֵ֨ינוּu.va.Nei.nuH1121and our daughtersוּבְנוֹתֵ֧ינוּu.ve.no.Tei.nuH1323and our wivesוְנָשֵׁ֛ינוּve.na.Shei.nuH802are in captivityבַּשְּׁבִ֖יba.she.ViH7628for thisH2088.

10Nowעַתָּה֙'a.TahH6258it is in my heartלְבָבִ֔יle.va.ViH3824to makeלִכְר֣וֹתlikh.RotH3772a covenantבְּרִ֔יתbe.RitH1285with the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,that His burningחֲר֥וֹןcha.RonH2740angerאַפּֽוֹ׃'a.PoH639may turnוְיָשֹׁ֥בve.ya.ShoH7725awayH7725from us.

11My sonsבָּנַ֕יba.NaiH1121,do not be negligentH7951nowעַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH6258, forthe Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068has chosenבָּחַ֣רba.CharH977you to standלַעֲמֹ֤דla.'a.ModH5975beforeלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440Him, to ministerלְשָׁ֣רְת֔וֹle.Sha.re.ToH8334to Him, and to be His ministersמְשָׁרְתִ֥יםme.sha.re.TimH8334and burnH6999incenseH6999.”

13and from the sonsבְּנֵי֙be.NeiH1121of Elizaphanאֱלִ֣יצָפָ֔ן'e.Li.tza.FanH469,Shimriשִׁמְרִ֖יshim.RiH8113andJeielH3262;and from the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Asaphאָסָ֔ף'a.SafH623,Zechariahזְכַרְיָ֖הוּze.khar.Ya.huH2148and Mattaniahוּמַתַּנְיָֽהוּ׃ סu.ma.tan.Ya.huH4983;

14and from the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Hemanהֵימָ֖ןhei.ManH1968,Jehielיְחִיאֵ֣לye.chu.'elH3171and Shimeiוְשִׁמְעִ֑י סve.shim.'IH8096;and from the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Jeduthunיְדוּת֔וּןye.du.TunH3038,Shemaiahשְׁמַֽעְיָ֖הshe.ma'.YahH8098and Uzzielוְעֻזִּיאֵֽל׃ve.'u.zi.'ElH5816.

15They assembledוַיַּֽאַסְפ֤וּvai.ya.'as.FuH622their brothersאֲחֵיהֶם֙'a.chei.HemH251,consecratedוַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁ֔וּvai.yit.ka.de.ShuH6942themselves, and wentוַיָּבֹ֥אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935into cleanseלְטַהֵ֖רle.ta.HerH2891the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,according to the commandmentכְמִצְוַת־khe.mitz.vat-H4687of the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428by the wordsבְּדִבְרֵ֣יbe.div.ReiH1697of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

16So the priestsהַ֠כֹּהֲנִיםHa.ko.ha.nimH3548wentוַיָּבֹ֣אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935in to the innerH6441partH6441of the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068to cleanseלְטַהֵר֒le.ta.HerH2891it,and everyכָּל־kol-H3605uncleanH2932thingH2932whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834they foundמָֽצְאוּ֙ma.tze.'UH4672in the templeבְּהֵיכַ֣לbe.hei.KhalH1964of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068they broughtוַיּוֹצִ֗יאוּvai.yo.Tzi.'uH3318out to the courtלַחֲצַ֖רla.cha.TzarH2691of the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.Then the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881receivedוַֽיְקַבְּלוּ֙vay.ka.be.LuH6901itto carryלְהוֹצִ֥יאle.ho.Tzi'H3318out tothe Kidronקִדְר֖וֹןkid.RonH6939valleyלְנַֽחַל־le.na.chal-H5158.
