4He builtוּבָנָ֥הu.va.NahH1129altarsמִזְבְּח֖וֹתmiz.be.ChotH4196in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068of whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had saidאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559, “My nameשְּׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034shall bein Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִַ֥םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389foreverלְעוֹלָֽם׃le.'o.LamH5769.”
6He made his sonsבָּנָ֤יוba.NavH1121passהֶעֱבִ֨ירhe.'e.VirH5674through the fireבָּאֵשׁ֙ba.'EshH784in the valleyבְּגֵ֣יbe.GeiH1516of Ben-hinnomבֶן־ הִנֹּ֔םven- hi.NomH1121H2011;and he practicedH6049witchcraftH6049,usedH5172divinationוְנִחֵשׁ֙ve.ni.CheshH5172,practicedH3784sorceryH3784anddealtוְעָ֥שָׂהve.'A.sahH6213with mediumsא֖וֹב'ovH178and spiritistsוְיִדְּעוֹנִ֑יve.yi.de.'o.NiH3049.He didלַעֲשׂ֥וֹתla.'a.SotH6213muchהִרְבָּ֗הhir.BahH7235evilהָרַ֛עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,provokingלְהַכְעִיסֽוֹ׃le.hakh.'i.SoH3707Him to anger.
7Then he putוַיָּ֕שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760the carvedH6459imageH6459of the idolהַסֶּ֖מֶלha.Se.melH5566whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he had madeעָשָׂ֑ה'a.SahH6213in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,of whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430had saidאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559to Davidדָּוִיד֙da.VidH1732and to Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010his sonבְנ֔וֹve.NoH1121, “In thisהַזֶּ֜הha.ZehH2088houseבַּבַּ֨יִתba.Ba.yitH1004and in Jerusalemוּבִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,whichאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834I have chosenבָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ba.Char.tiH977from allמִכֹּל֙mi.KolH3605the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,I will putאָשִׂ֥ים'a.SimH7760My nameשְׁמִ֖יshe.MiH8034foreverH5769;

9Thus Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֔הme.na.ShehH4519misledוַיֶּ֣תַעvai.Ye.ta'H8582Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063and the inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֵ֣יve.yo.she.VeiH3427of Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389to doלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213moreמִן־min-H4480evilרָ֔עRa'H7451thanH4480the nationsהַ֨גּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471whomאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068destroyedהִשְׁמִ֣ידhish.MidH8045beforeמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH4480H6440the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.
Manasseh’s Idolatry Rebuked
11Therefore the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068broughtוַיָּבֵ֨אvai.ya.Ve'H935the commandersשָׂרֵ֤יsa.ReiH8269of the armyהַצָּבָא֙ha.tza.Va'H6635of the kingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Assyriaאַשּׁ֔וּר'a.ShurH804againstעֲלֵיהֶ֗ם'a.lei.HemH5921them, and they capturedוַיִּלְכְּד֥וּvai.yil.ke.DuH3920Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֖הme.na.ShehH4519withhooksבַּחֹחִ֑יםba.cho.ChimH2336,boundוַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֙הוּ֙vai.ya.'as.Ru.huH631him with bronzeבַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִםban.chush.Ta.yimH5178chainsand tookוַיּוֹלִיכֻ֖הוּvai.yo.li.Khu.huH1980him to Babylonבָּבֶֽלָה׃ba.Ve.lahH894.
13When he prayedוַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֣לvai.yit.pa.LelH6419to Him,He was movedH6279by his entreatyH6279and heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085his supplicationתְּחִנָּת֔וֹte.chi.na.ToH8467,and broughtH7725him againH7725to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389to his kingdomלְמַלְכוּת֑וֹle.mal.khu.ToH4438.Then Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֔הme.na.ShehH4519knewוַיֵּ֣דַעvai.Ye.da'H3045that the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068wasGodהָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃Ha.'E.lo.HimH430.
14Now afterוְאַחֲרֵי־ve.'a.cha.rei-H310thisכֵ֡ןkhenH3651he builtבָּנָ֣הba.NahH1129the outerחִֽיצוֹנָ֣ה׀chi.tzo.NahH2435wallחוֹמָ֣הcho.MahH2346of the cityלְעִיר־le.'ir-H5892of Davidדָּוִ֡ידda.VidH1732on the westמַעְרָבָה֩ma'.ra.VahH4628sideH4628ofGihonלְגִיח֨וֹןle.gi.ChonH1521,in the valleyבַּנַּ֜חַלba.Na.chalH5158,even to the entranceוְלָב֨וֹאve.la.Vo'H935of theFishהַדָּגִים֙ha.da.GimH1709Gateבְשַׁ֤עַרve.Sha.'arH8179;and he encircledוְסָבַ֣בve.sa.VavH5437theOphelלָעֹ֔פֶלla.'O.felH6077with itand madeH1361it veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966highוַיַּגְבִּיהֶ֖הָvai.yag.bi.He.haH1361.Then he putוַיָּ֧שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760armyחַ֛יִלCha.yilH2428commandersשָֽׂרֵי־sa.rei-H8269in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the fortifiedהַבְּצֻר֖וֹתha.be.tzu.RotH1219citiesהֶעָרִ֥יםhe.'a.RimH5892of Judahבִּיהוּדָֽה׃bi.hu.DahH3063.
15He alsoremovedוַ֠יָּסַרVai.ya.sarH5493the foreignהַנֵּכָ֤רha.ne.KharH5236godsאֱלֹהֵ֨י'e.lo.HeiH430and the idolהַסֶּ֙מֶל֙ha.Se.melH5566from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,as well as allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the altarsהַֽמִּזְבְּח֗וֹתha.miz.be.ChotH4196whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he had builtבָּנָ֛הba.NahH1129on the mountainבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068and in Jerusalemוּבִירוּשָׁלִָ֑םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,and he threwוַיַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְvai.yash.LekhH7993themoutsideח֥וּצָהChu.tzahH2351the cityלָעִֽיר׃la.'IrH5892.
16He setH3559up the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068and sacrificedוַיִּזְבַּ֣חvai.yiz.BachH2076peaceשְׁלָמִ֖יםshe.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002and thankH8426offeringsH8426on it; and he orderedוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559Judahלִֽיהוּדָ֔הli.hu.DahH3063to serveלַעֲב֕וֹדla.'a.VodH5647the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
18Now the restוְיֶ֨תֶרve.Ye.terH3499of the actsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁה֮me.na.ShehH4519evenhis prayerוּתְפִלָּת֣וֹu.te.fi.la.ToH8605to his Godאֱלֹהָיו֒'e.lo.HavH430,and the wordsוְדִבְרֵי֙ve.div.ReiH1697ofthe seersהַֽחֹזִ֔יםha.cho.ZimH2374who spokeהַֽמְדַבְּרִ֣יםham.da.be.RimH1696to him in the nameבְּשֵׁ֥םbe.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,beholdH2009,they are amongעַל־'al-H5921the recordsדִּבְרֵ֖יdiv.ReiH1697of the kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

20So Manassehמְנַשֶּׁה֙me.na.ShehH4519sleptוַיִּשְׁכַּ֤בvai.yish.KavH7901with his fathersאֲבֹתָ֔יו'a.vo.TavH1,and they buriedוַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֖הוּvai.yik.be.Ru.huH6912him in his own houseבֵּית֑וֹbei.ToH1004.And Amonאָמ֥וֹן'a.MonH526his sonבְּנ֖וֹbe.NoH1121becameH4427kingוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his placeתַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פtach.TavH8478.
